BACKGROUND Esophageal stricture ranks among the most significant complications following endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD).Excessive fibrotic repair is a typical pathological feature leading to stenosis after *** To examine the effectiveness and underlying mechanism of Kangfuxin solution(KFX)in mitigating excessive fibrotic repair of the esophagus *** Pigs received KFX at 0.74 mL/kg/d for 21 days after esophageal full circumferential *** examinations occurred on days 7 and 21 *** vitro,recombinant transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1(5 ng/mL)induced a fibrotic microenvironment in primary esophageal fibroblasts(pEsF).After 24 hours of KFX treatment(at 1.5%,1%,and 0.5%),expression ofα-smooth muscle actin-2(ACTA2),fibronectin(FN),and type collagen I was *** signaling was analyzed,including TGF-β1,Smad2/3,and phosphor-smad2/3(p-Smad2/3).RESULTS Compared to the Control group,the groups treated with KFX and prednisolone exhibited reduced esophageal stenosis,lower weight loss rates,and improved food tolerance 21 d after *** treatment,Masson staining revealed thinner and less dense collagen fibers in the submucosal ***,the expression of fibrotic effector molecules was notably ***,KFX downregulated the transduction levels of fibrotic functional molecules such as TGF-β1,Smad2/3,and p-Smad2/*** vitro,pEsF exposed to TGF-β1-induced fibrotic microenvironment displayed increased fibrotic activity,which was reversed by KFX treatment,leading to reduced activation of ACTA2,FN,and collagen *** 1.5%KFX treatment group showed decreased expression of p-Smad 2/3 in TGF-β1-activated *** KFX showed promise as a therapeutic option for post-full circumferential esophageal ESD strictures,potentially by suppressing fibroblast fibrotic activity through modulation of the TGF-β1/Smads signaling pathway.

Most cases of acute coronary syndrome （ACS） involve coronary atherosclerosis and plaque rupture, as well as subsequent thrombosis. The initial thrombotic events leading to red thrombus formation are platelet adherence and aggregation. Platelets play a very important role during the establishment and progression of a thrombosis in a coronary artery. Therefore, in recent years guidelines have been developed in an effort to strengthen antiplatelet therapy in ACS, but unfortunately the methods to evaluate platelet activity and the strength of platelet inhibition are lacking.

Effectiveness of a training program based on maker education for baccalaureate nursing students: A quasi-experimental study

Objectives:Maker education is a dominant force in education reform and is viewed as a revolutionary way to *** innovative pedagogy is continuously explored in the field of nursing,the emerging role of maker education must be *** research aims to build a nursing bachelor education program based on maker education and to evaluate the effectiveness of this ***:Forty volunteer junior students majoring in nursing from a college were the subjects for this *** training program for nursing students based on maker education was developed and implemented as an additional class for a period of 12 *** and after the experiment,two measures including the"Williams Creative Scale"and"Current Status Questionnaire of Nursing Students'Learning"were adopted for investigation,and corresponding statistical methods were used for *** degree of satisfaction with this training program was investigated after the ***:The average scores of creativity,learning interest,cooperative learning skill,scientific research ability,and information attainment of the nursing students after the implementation of maker education all *** differences in the above points before and after the experiment were all statistically significant(P<0.05).Most of the students expressed satisfaction with this training program(72.5%were very satisfied,15.0%were partially satisfied,and 12.5%were not satisfied).Conclusion:Implementing the training program based on maker education enhanced student creativity,learning interest,cooperative learning skill,scientific research ability,and information *** nursing talents were also *** data suggested the importance of improving this program,adopting the method,and pursuing research in nursing education.

The development of nanozymes with excellent intrinsic oxidase-like activity and specificity has received increasing ***(GDY)could be a promising choice for designing nanozymes with enhanced oxidase(OXD)-like activity due to its unique structure and ***,Co-N-GDY with high OXD activity but no peroxidase(POD)activity was synthesized by codoping of cobalt(Co)and nitrogen(N)into GDY and compared with other GDY-based nanozymes(including GDY,Co-GDY,and N-GDY).Upon analyzing the doping effect of Co and N on the OXD-like and POD-like activities,we found that the combination of Co and N in GDY played a significant role in enhancing the OXD-like activity,and even reversed the POD-like activity of N-GDY to OXD-like activity of *** electrochemical experiment and the theoretical calculations provided an explanation for the mechanism and showed that the activity was closely linked to the reduction ability of O_(2) or H_(2)O_(2) on the nanozyme substrates,which was determined by the ratedetermining step of the catalytic reaction.

BACKGROUND Return to work(RTW)serves as an indication for young and middle-aged colorectal cancer(CRC)survivors to resume their normal social ***,these survivors encounter significant challenges during their RTW ***,scientific research is necessary to explore the barriers and facilitating factors of returning to work for young and middle-aged CRC *** To examine the current RTW status among young and middle-aged CRC survivors and to analyze the impact of RTW self-efficacy(RTW-SE),fear of progression(FoP),eHealth literacy(eHL),family resilience(FR),and financial toxicity(FT)on their RTW *** A cross-sectional investigation was adopted in this *** September 2022 to February 2023,a total of 209 participants were recruited through a convenience sampling method from the gastrointestinal surgery department of a class A tertiary hospital in *** investigation utilized a general information questionnaire alongside scales assessing RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and *** analyze the factors that influence RTW outcomes among young and middle-aged CRC survivors,Cox regression modeling and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis were *** A total of 43.54%of the participants successfully returned to work,with an average RTW time of 100 *** regression univariate analysis revealed that RTW-SE,FoP,eHL,FR,and FT were significantly different between the non-RTW and RTW groups(P<0.05).Furthermore,Cox regression multivariate analysis identified per capita family monthly income,job type,RTW-SE,and FR as independent influencing factors for RTW(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The RTW rate requires further *** levels of RTW-SE and FR were found to significantly increase RTW among young and middle-aged CRC *** professionals should focus on modifiable factors,such as RTW-SE and FR,to design targeted RTW support programs,thereby facilitating their timely reintegration into mainstream society.

Microtubule-associated protein tau is abnormally hyperphosphorylated in Alzheimer disease (AD) and other tauopathies and it is believed to be at least one of the primary causes leading to neurodegeneration in this family of diseases. It is reported that cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) and glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) are among the most implicated kinases involved in tau hyperphosphorylation, but the exact molecular mechanism (s) is not understood. We found that simultaneous inhibition of phosphoinositide-3-kinase/Akt (by wortmannin) and protein kinase C (GFX) resulted in a prolonged activation of GSK-3, which was positively correlated with tau hyperphosphorylation and spatial memory impairment of the rats. And these effects of wortmannin and GFX on tau were eliminated by GSK-3 inhibitor, LiC1. These results suggest that GSK-3 play an

Tetratricopeptide repeat(TPR) proteins are involved in a variety of cellular functions that require protein-protein interactions such as chaperone,cell-cycle,transcription,and protein ***36,a TPR protein,can be mainly found in liver and kidney in the mouse early ***,the interaction between Ttc36 and other factors and the function of Ttc36 in kidney development as well as the detailed expression in adult kidney is *** analysis indicates that Ttc36 is highly conserved between mouse and *** this study,we made a high affinitive polyclone antibody of *** means of in situ,western blot and immunofluorescence,we found that Ttc36 strongly express in mouse renal proximal tubules beginning at E15.5 of the mouse kidney both at mRNA and protein level. Conclusions:Our data indicate that Ttc36,a TPR protein,specifically express in renal proximal tubules and the high affinitive polyclone antibody of Ttc36 can be a good tool to study the function of Ttc36 in the future.

Ex vivo organ culture is a powerful technique for studying kidney development for last fifty years and it recapitulates many aspects of early renal development very *** to the three-dimensional nature of the tissue,there is few choice of gene manipulation method in literature which is capable of deeply penetrating the *** this study,we established a novel convenient economic embryonic kidney culture *** cultured the kidney rudiments in 24-well plate with around 150 microliters *** cultured kidney shows comparable branching and *** this system,we developed a novel technique,base on self-complementary adeno-associated Virus(scAAV),to delivery gene deeply into cultured tissues.8 different serotypes of scAAV were tested in ex vivo cultured *** data show scAAV can penetrate the tissue deeply and the transduction efficiency of human serotypes is much higher than that of nonhuman primate populations(NHP) ***,fluorescent immunostaining assay shows that the tropism of serotype 2 and 8 are different in cultured *** serotype 2 prefers to infect the ureteric bud(UB) cells,however,serotype 8 has a ubiquitous infection ability to all kinds of kidney *** expression kinetics of scAAV during nephrongenesis indicates gene expression of scAAV decreased in fast-dividing cells for its low genomic integration *** scAAV is a promising tool for ex vivo kidney development study. Conclusions:Our data indicate that scAAV is a powerful technique for gene manipulation in ex vivo cultured kidney.

通过问卷调查和访谈的方式,基于Smit等人制定的"是否采取适应性行为"和"是否采取主动适应性行为"标准,选取了旱涝灾害发生频繁程度有无变化、被调查者性别、年龄、文化程度、家庭人均年收入、农业占家庭总收入比例6个变量,采用Logistic模型从行为类型和影响行为因素角度分析了岐山县乡村人群对旱涝灾害的适应性状况。结果表明:旱涝灾害发生频繁程度有无变化对乡村人群是否采取适应性行为和是否采取主动适应性行为均呈显著影响(P<0.05);年龄在"40~60"岁阶段、"大学"文化程度的乡村人群分别对是否采取主动适应性行为、是否采取适应性行为和是否采取主动适应性行为均有非常显著的影响(P<0.01),且男性比女性更易采取适应性行为。
