Despite very efficient superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors(SNSPDs)reported recently,combining their other performance advantages such as high speed and ultralow timing jitter in a single device still remains *** this work,we present a perfect absorber model and the corresponding detector design based on a micrometer-long NbN nanowire integrated with a 2D photonic crystal cavity of ultrasmall mode volume,which promises simultaneous achievement of near-unity absorption,gigahertz counting rates,and broadband optical response with a 3 dB bandwidth of 71 *** to previous stand-alone meandered and waveguideintegrated SNSPDs,this perfect absorber design addresses the trade space in size,efficiency,speed,and bandwidth for realizing large on-chip single-photon detector arrays.

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(***)infection is a prevalent disease encountered in military internal medicine and recognized as the main cause of dyspepsia,gastritis,and peptic ulcer,which are common diseases in military *** guidelines in China state all patients with evidence of active infection with *** are offered ***,the prevalence of *** infection and its regional distribution in the military population remain unclear,which hinders effective prevention and treatment *** the prevalence of *** infection in the military population will aid in the development of customized strategies to better manage this infectious *** To investigate the prevalence of *** infection in the Chinese military population in different geographic *** This multicenter,retrospective study included 22421 individuals from five tertiary hospitals located in north,east,southwest,and northwest cities of *** infection was identified using the urea breath test,which had been performed between January 2020 and December *** Of the 22421 military service members,7416(33.1%)were urea breath *** highest prevalence of *** was in the 30-39 years age group for military personnel,with an infection rate of 34.9%.The majority of infected subjects were younger than 40-years-old,accounting for 70.4%of the infected *** individuals serviced in Lanzhou and Chengdu showed a higher infection prevalence than those in Beijing,Nanjing,and Guangzhou,with prevalence rates of 44.3%,37.9%,29.0%,31.1%,and 32.3%,*** *** infection remains a common infectious disease among military personnel in China and has a relatively high prevalence rate in northwest China.

Background:Insomnia is a prevalent clinical condition and Shangxia Liangji formula(SxLJF)is a well-established method of ***,the specific mechanism of action of SxLJF remains ***:The mouse model of insomnia was established by intraperitoneal injection of ***-two mice were randomly divided into a negative control group,model group,SxLJF group(18.72 g/kg/day),and positive control group(diazepam,2 mg/kg)and treated with the corresponding drugs for 7 consecutive *** open field test and pentobarbital-induced sleeping test were ***-MS-based untargeted metabolomics and network pharmacology were applied to explore the potential targets of SxLJF for treating ***,key targets were validated using ***:Behavioral tests demonstrated that SxLJF reduced the total distance,average velocity,central distance,and sleep latency,and prolonged sleep *** and network pharmacology revealed potential targets,signaling pathways,metabolic pathways,and metabolites associated with the anti-insomnia effects of ***,tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and tyrosine metabolism emerged as crucial metabolic pathways and targets,***-qPCR results supported the role of TH in the mechanism of SxLJF in treating ***:In conclusion,TH and tyrosine metabolism may represent significant targets and pathways for SxLJF in treating insomnia.

How Ebola virus(EBOV)enters a host cell remains intriguingly mysterious to the ***,a study led by George F Gao and his colleagues has unveiled how the primed glycoprotein on the envelope of EBOV binds to its endosomal receptor Niemann-Pick C1(NPC1)molecule during the process of virus membrane fusion with the host cells,an essential step for viral entry(Wang et al.,2016).This fine resolution of the viral glycoprotein with NPC1 at the atomic level sheds light on the development of therapeutic inhibitors against EBOV infection.

The quantum relaxation time of electrons in condensed matters is an important physical property, but its direct measurement has been elusive for a century. Here, we report a breakthrough that allows direct determination of quantum relaxation time at zero and non-zero frequencies using optical *** dielectric loss function, we connect bound electron effects to the physical parameters of plasma resonance and find an extra term of quantum relaxation time from inelastic scattering between bound electrons and conduction electrons at non-zero frequencies. We demonstrate here that the frequency-dependent inelastic polarization effect of bound electrons is the dominant contribution to quantum relaxation time of conduction electrons at optical frequencies, and the elastic polarization effect of bound electrons also dramatically changes the plasma resonance frequency through effective screening to charge carriers.

The mixing characteristics of a Horizontal Momentum Jet in Cross flow （HMJC） were investigated using the CFD code Fluent. The realizable k-ε model was employed for turbulent closure of the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations. The computed results, including concentration field and velocity field, agree well with the relations of dimen sional analysis, as well as the experimental results by Sherif and Pletcher, Ali and Yu et al.

In this paper,the maximum-principle-preserving(MPP)and positivitypreserving(PP)flux limiting technique will be generalized to a class of high-order weighted compact nonlinear schemes(WCNSs)for scalar conservation laws and the compressible Euler systems in both one and two *** main idea of the present method is to rewrite the scheme in a conservative form,and then define the local limiting parameters via case-by-case *** test problems are presented to demonstrate that the proposed MPP/PP WCNSs incorporating a third-order Runge-Kutta method can attain the desired order of *** test problems with strong shocks and high pressure and density ratios are also conducted to testify the performance of the schemes.

Hepatitis B virus(HBV)is regarded as a stealth virus,invading and replicating efficiently in human liver undetected by host innate antiviral ***,we show that type I interferon(IFN)induction but not its downstream signaling is blocked by HBV replication in HepG2.2.15 *** effect may be partially due to HBV x protein(HBx),which impairs IFNβpromoter activation by both Sendai virus(SeV)and components implicated in signaling by viral *** a deubiquitinating enzyme(DUB),HBx cleaves Lys63-linked polyubiquitin chains from many proteins except TANK-binding kinase 1(TBK1).It binds and deconjugates retinoic acid-inducible gene I(RIG I)and TNF receptor-associated factor 3(TRAF3),causing their dissociation from the downstream adaptor CARDIF or TBK1 *** addition to RIG I and TRAF3,HBx also interacts with CARDIF,TRIF,NEMO,TBK1,inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells,kinase epsilon(IKKi)and interferon regulatory factor 3(IRF3).Our data indicate that multiple points of signaling pathways can be targeted by HBx to negatively regulate production of type I IFN.
