Water toxicity determination with electrochemically active bacteria(EAB)shows promise for providing early warnings for heavy metal pollution in ***,thus far,only idealized tests with a few types of heavy metals have been *** this study,an automatic water-toxicitydetermination system with high technical maturity was established,and the toxicological properties of common heavy metals were systematically *** results demonstrated that the common heavy metals linearly inhibited EAB currents in the range of 0.1 mg/L to 0.5 mg/*** toxicity ranking of the tested heavy metals was Pb^(2+)>Tl^(3.)>Cu^(2+)>Cd^(2+)>Zn^(2+)>Ni^(2+)>Hg^(2+)>As^(3.).The toxicity interaction mainly exhibited an antagonistic effect in binary heavy metal *** system can accurately determine surface water toxicity and rapidly monitor heavy metal pollution,with good repeatability and a long ***,this study demonstrates that EAB are capable of long-term(>60 d)surface water quality monitoring and on-site early warning of heavy metal pollution.

Formaldehyde(HCHO)as an indoor air pollutant released by new furniture and decorative materials is of great *** a self-cleaning device to remove HCHO is an ideal way to improve indoor air *** this study,a self-cleaning window with a multilayered structure constructed from fluorinedoped tin oxide/bismuth tungstate/resorcinol-formaldehyde resin(FTO/Bi_(2)WO_(6)/RF)has been fabricated,which is capable of degrading HCHO in natural indoor *** as-fabricated device could utilize the natural room light and promote the generation and transfer of the photocatalytic carriers in Bi_(2)WO_(6),which subsequently delivers a good catalytic oxygen reduction efficiency in RF to produce hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)).The as-synthesized H_(2)O_(2)could further split into hydroxyl radicals(•OH),then oxide the HCHO molecules in the *** present study demonstrates a novel and efficient strategy to fabricate a transparent multifunctional window for self-cleaning indoor gaseous pollutants,the concept is of great importance to be expanded in a broad range of indoor furniture for in-house air pollution control.

Transient Voltage Support Strategy of Grid-forming Medium Voltage Photovoltaic Converter in the LCC-HVDC System

The participation of photovoltaic(PV)plants in supporting the transient voltage caused by commutation failure in the line-commutated-converter-based high voltage direct current(LCC-HVDC)system is of great significance,as it can enhance the DC transmission ***,it is found that the gridfollowing(GFL)PV converters face the problem of mismatch between reactive power response and transient voltage characteristic when the voltage converts from low voltage to overvoltage,further aggravating the overvoltage ***,this article proposes a transient voltage support strategy based on the gridforming(GFM)medium voltage PV *** proposed strategy takes the advantage of the close equivalent electrical distance between the converter and grid,which can autonomously control the converter terminal voltage through GFM control with adaptive voltage droop *** simulation results show that the proposed strategy can ensure the output reactive power of the PV converter quickly matches the transient voltage characteristic at different stages,indicating that the proposed strategy can effectively support the transient voltage.

Graph databases have gained widespread adoption in various industries and have been utilized in a range of applications,including financial risk assessment,commodity recommendation,and data lineage *** the principles and design of these databases have been the subject of some investigation,there remains a lack of comprehensive examination of aspects such as storage layout,query language,and *** present study focuses on the design and implementation of graph storage layout,with a particular emphasis on tree-structured key-value *** also examine different design choices in the graph storage layer and present our findings through the development of TuGraph,a highly efficient single-machine graph database that significantly outperforms well-known Graph DataBase Management System(GDBMS).Additionally,TuGraph demonstrates superior performance in the linked Data Benchmark Council(LDBC)Social Network Benchmark(SNB)interactive benchmark.

Background and Aims:Acetaminophen(APAP)-induced liver injury(AILI)has an increasing incidence ***,the mechanisms contributing to such liver injury are largely unknown and no targeted therapy is currently *** study aimed to investigate the effect of BTF3.4 overexpression on apoptosis and inflammation regulation in vitro and in ***:We performed a proteomic analysis of the AILI model and found basic transcription factor 3.like 4(BTF3.4)was the only outlier transcription factor overexpressed in the AILI model in ***3.4 overexpression increased the degree of liver injury in the AILI ***:BTF3.4 exerts its pathogenic effect by inducing an inflammatory response and damaging mitochondrial *** BTF3.4 expression increases the degree of apoptosis,reactive oxygen species generation,and oxidative stress,which induces cell death and liver *** damage of mitochondrial function by BTF3.4 triggers a cascade of events,including reactive oxygen species accumulation and oxidative *** to the available AILI data,BTF3.4 expression is positively associated with inflammation and may be a potential biomarker of ***:Our results suggest that BTF3.4 is a pathogenic factor in AILI and may be a potential diagnostic maker for AILI.

Organic compounds represent an appealing group of electrode materials for rechargeable batteries due to their merits of biomass,sustainability,environmental friendliness,and *** terephthalate(Na_(2)C_(8)H_(4)O_(4),Na_(2)TP),an organic salt with a theoretical capacity of 255 mAh·g^(-1),is electroactive towards both lithium and ***,its electrochemical energy storage(EES)process has not been directly observed via in situ characterization techniques and the underlying mechanisms are still under ***,in situ Raman spectroscopy was employed to track the de/lithiation and de/sodiation processes of *** appearance and then disappearance of the–COOLi Raman band at 1625 cm^(-1) during the de/lithiation,and the increase and then decrease of the–COONa Raman band at 1615 cm^(-1) during the de/sodiation processes of Na2TP elucidate the one-step with the 2Li+or 2Na+transfer *** also found that the inferior cycling stability of Na2TP as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)than lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)could be due to the larger ion radium of Na+than Li+,which results in larger steric resistance and polarization during *** Na2TP,therefore,shows greater changes in spectra during de/sodiation than de/*** expect that our findings could provide a reference for the rational design of organic compounds for EES.

Lost circulation is a common downhole problem of drilling in geothermal and high-temperature,high-pressure(HTHP)*** circulation material(LCM)is a regular preventive and remedial measure for lost ***,conventional LCMs seem ineffective in high-temperature *** may be due to the changes in the mechanical properties of LCMs and their sealing performance under high-temperature *** understand how high temperature affects the fracture sealing performance of LCMs,we developed a coupled computational fluid dynamics-discrete element method(CFD-DEM)model to simulate the behavior of granular LCMs in *** summarized the literature on the effects of high temperature on the mechanical properties of LCMs and the rheological properties of drilling *** conducted sensitivity analyses to investigate how changing LCM slurry properties affected the fracture sealing efficiency at increasing *** results show that high temperature reduces the size,strength,and friction coefficient of LCMs as well as the drilling fluid ***,softer,and less frictional LCM particles have lower bridging probability and slower bridging *** particles tend to form dual-particle bridges rather than single-particle *** result in a deeper,tighter,but unstable sealing *** drilling fluid viscosity leads to faster and shallower sealing zones.

Allelopathy plays an important role in the interaction between invasive and resident *** nitrogen(N)deposition has become a global problem,but it is unclear whether N enrichment affects the interaction between invasive and resident plants by affecting their ***,we performed a greenhouse experiment in which the resident plant community was grown under two levels of invasion by ***(invasion *** invasion)and fully crossed with two levels of allelopathy(with or without adding activated carbon)and two levels of N addition(with or without).The resident plant communities were constructed with eight herbaceous species that often co-occur with *** results showed that both allelopathy of *** and the resident plants had obvious positive effects on their own *** addition had more obvious positive effects on the resident plants under invasion than those that were not ***,N addition also altered the allelopathy of resident ***,N addition improved the allelopathy of resident plants when they were invaded but decreased the allelopathy of resident plants when they grew *** nitrogen addition had no obvious effect on ***,it reduced the allelopathy of *** results suggest that N addition could improve the resistance of resident plants to invasion by improving the allelopathy of resident plants and reducing the allelopathy of *** fndings provide a scientifc basis to manage and control the *** invasion.

At present,with the increasing application needs of phosphor-converted white light-emitting diode(wLED),the synthetic efficiency and thermal stability of phosphor become urgent ***,this research reports a microwave-assisted fast synthesis approach to obtain a Sm^(3.)-activated borotellurate Na_(2)Y_(2)TeO_(4)(BO_(3.)_(2)(NYTB)red phosphor with high crystallinity,excellent thermostability,and low chromaticity *** the NYTB-based phosphor,in contrast to the conventional solid-state synthesis,the microwave-assisted synthesis method involves lower synthesis temperature and shorter processing ***,the concentration quenching mechanism was *** w-LED device packaged with the studied phosphor exhibits a near-standard white light with proper CCT and high Ra parameters.
