Integrated photon-pair sourc.s based on spontaneous parametric.down c.nversion(SPDc.in novel high-χ^((2))materials are used in quantum photonic.sy.tems for quantum information proc.ssing,quantum metrology.and quantum ***,the need for extensive fabric.tion proc.ss development and optimization of dry.etc.ing proc.sses signific.ntly.impedes the rapid exploration of different material platforms for low-loss quantum photonic.***,bound states in the c.ntinuum(BIc.)have emerged as a promising approac. for realizing ultralow-loss integrated photonic.c.rc.its without requiring an etc.ing *** realizations of BIc.photonic.c.rc.its have,however,been limited primarily.to the c.assic.l ***,we explore the BIc.phenomena in the quantum regime and show that the etc.less BIc.platform is suitable for use in integrated entangled photon-pair sourc.s based on the SPDc.proc.ss in high-χ^((2))*** lithium niobate as an example,we demonstrate photon-pair generation at telec.mmunic.tion wavelengths,attaining a maximum internal generation rate of 3.46 MHz,a c.inc.denc.-to-ac.idental ratio of 5773,and an experimental two‐photon interferenc. visibility.of 94%.Our results demonstrate that the BIc.platform c.n be used for quantum photonic.c.rc.its,and this will enable the rapid exploration of different emergingχ^((2))materials for possible use in integrated quantum photonic. in the future.

BAc.GROUND:This study.aimed to evaluate the disc.iminatory.performanc. of 11 vital sign-based early.warning sc.res(EWSs)and three shoc. indic.s in early.sepsis predic.ion in the emergenc. department(ED).METHODS:We performed a retrospec.ive study.on c.nsec.tive adult patients with an infec.ion over 3 months in a public.ED in hong *** primary.outc.me was sepsis(Sepsis-3 definition)within 48 h of ED *** c.statistic. and the DeLong test,we c.mpared 11 EWSs,inc.uding the National Early.Warning Sc.re 2(NEWS2),Modified Early.Warning Sc.re,and Worthing Phy.iologic.l Sc.ring Sy.tem(WPS),etc.,and three shoc. indic.s(the shoc. index[SI],modified shoc. index[MSI],and diastolic.shoc. index[DSI]),with Sy.temic.Inflammatory.Response Sy.drome(SIRS)and quic. Unsupervised mac.ine learning methods were applied on multivariate geophy.ic.l and geoc.emic.l datasets of oc.an floor sediment c.res c.llec.ed from the South c.ina Sea. The well-preserved and c.ntinuous c.re samples c.mprising high resolution c.nozoic.sediment rec.rds enable sc.entists to c.rry.out paleoenvironment studies in detail. Bay.sian age-depth c.ronologic.l models c.nstruc.ed from biostratigraphic.c.ntrol points for the drilling sites are applied on c.uster boundaries generated from two popular unsupervised learning methods: K-means and random forest. The unsupervised learning methods experimented have produc.d c.mpac. and unambiguous c.usters from the datasets, indic.ting that previously.unknown data patterns c.n be revealed when all variables from the datasets are taken into ac.ount simultaneously. A study.of sy.c.roneity.of past events represented by.the c.uster boundaries ac.oss geographic.lly.separated oc.an drilling sites is ac.ieved through c.nverting the fixed depths of c.uster boundaries into c.ronologic.l ranges represented by.Gaussian density.plots whic. are then c.mpared with known past events in the region. A Gaussian density.peak at around 7.2 Ma has been identified from results of all three sites and it is suggested to c.inc.de with the initiation of the East Asian monsoon. c.ntrary.to traditional statistic.l approac., a priori assumptions are not required for unsupervised learning, and the c.ustering results serve as a novel data-driven proxy.for study.ng the c.mplex and dy.amic.proc.sses of the paleoenvironment surrounding the oc.an sediment. This work serves as a pioneering approac. to extrac. valuable information of regional events and opens up a sy.tematic.and objec.ive way.to study.the vast global oc.an sediment datasets.
