In recent years,studying the role of myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)in many pathological inflammatory conditions has become a very active research *** the role of MDSCs in cancer is relatively well established,their role in non-cancerous pathological conditions remains in its infancy resulting in much *** objectives in this review are to address some recent advances in MDSC research in order to minimize such confusion and to provide an insight into their function in the context of other *** following topics will be specifically focused upon:(1)definition and characterization of MDSCs;(2)whether all MDSC populations consist of immature cells;(3)technical issues in MDSC isolation,estimation and characterization;(4)the origin of MDSCs and their anatomical distribution in health and disease;(5)mediators of MDSC expansion and accumulation;(6)factors that determine the expansion of one MDSC population over the other;(7)the Yin and Yang roles of ***,the functions of MDSCs will be addressed throughout the text.

In software-defined networking(SDN),controllers are sinks of information such as network topology collected from *** often like to protect their internal network topology and keep their network policies *** borrow techniques from secure multi-party computation(SMC)to preserve the privacy of policies of SDN controllers about status of *** the other hand,the number of controllers is one of the most important concerns in scalability of SMC application in *** address this issue,we formulate an optimization problem to minimize the number of SDN controllers while considering their reliability in SMC *** use Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II(NSGA-II)to determine the optimal number of controllers,and simulate SMC for typical SDNs with this number of *** results show that applying the SMC technique to preserve the privacy of organization policies causes only a little delay in SDNs,which is completely justifiable by the privacy obtained.

An important factor in the course of daily medical diagnosis and treatment is understanding patients’ emotional states by the caregiver physicians. However, patients usually avoid speaking out their emotions when expressing their somatic symptoms and complaints to their non-psychiatrist doctor. On the other hand, clinicians usually lack the required expertise(or time) and have a deficit in mining various verbal and non-verbal emotional signals of the patients. As a result, in many cases, there is an emotion recognition barrier between the clinician and the patients making all patients seem the same except for their different somatic symptoms. In particular, we aim to identify and combine three major disciplines(psychology, linguistics, and data science) approaches for detecting emotions from verbal communication and propose an integrated solution for emotion recognition support. Such a platform may give emotional guides and indices to the clinician based on verbal communication at the consultation time.

This paper investiages the secondary Bjerknes force for two oscillating bubbles in various pressure amplitudes in a concentration of 95% sulfuric acid. The equilibrium radii of the bubbles are assumed to be smaller than 10 μm at a frequency of 37 kHz in various strong driving acoustical fields around 2.0 bars （1 bar=10^5 Pa）. The secondary Bjerknes force is investigated in uncoupled and coupled states between the bubbles, with regard to the quasi-adiabatic model for the bubble interior. It finds that the value of the secondary Bjerknes force depends on the driven pressure of sulfuric acid and its amount would be increased by liquid pressure amplitude enhancement. The results show that the repulsion area of the interaction force would be increased by increasing the driven pressure because of nonlinear oscillation of bubbles.

Based on a quasi-adiabatic model, the parameters of the bubble interior for a moving single bubble sonoluminescence （m-SBSL） in water are calculated. By using a complete form of the hydrodynamic force, a unique circular path for the m-SBSL in water is obtained. The effect of the ambient pressure variation on the bubble trajectory is also investigated. It is concluded that as the ambient pressure increases, the bubble moves along a circular path with a larger radius and all bubble parameters, such as gas pressure, interior temperature and light intensity, increase. A comparison is made between the parameters of the moving bubble in water and those in N-methylformamide. With fluid viscosity increasing, the circular path changes into an elliptic form and the light intensity increases.

The emerging field of City Digital Twins has advanced in recent years with the help of digital infrastructure and technologies connected to the Internet of Things(IoT).However,the evolution of this field has been so fast that a gap has opened in relation to systematic reviews of the relevant literature and the maturation of City Digital Twins on an urban *** work bridges this gap by highlighting maturity in the *** conducted a systematic literature review with bibliometric and content analysis of 41 selected papers published in Web of Science and Scopus data-bases,covering five areas:data types and sources,case studies,applied technologies and methods,maturity spectrum,and *** on maturity indicators,the majority of the reviewed studies(90%)were at initial to medium stages of maturity(up to element 3),most of them focused on 3D modelling,monitoring and ***,digital twins cannot be limited to 3D models,monitoring and visualisation,for they can be developed to include two-directional interactions between humans and *** a high level of maturity,which was not found in the reviewed studies,requires advanced technologies and methods such as cloud computing,artificial intelligence,BIM and *** also found that further studies are essential if the field is to handle the complex urban challenges of multidisciplinary digital *** City Digital Twins extend by definition beyond mere 3D city modelling,some studies involving 3D city models still refer to their subjects as City Digital *** the research gaps we identified,we’d like to highlight the need for near-real-time data analytics algorithms,which could furnish City Digital Twins with big data *** opportunities include public participation capabilities to increase social collaboration,integrating BIM and GIS technologies and improving storage and computation infrastructure.

This paper presents a stochastic framework for optimal scheduling of microgrids(MGs)considering unscheduled islanding events,initiated by disturbances in the main *** scheduling approach considers different uncertainties and determines the day-ahead schedule of the resources considering emergency *** proposed strategy attempts to effectively manage demand and supply side resources to mitigate the effects of uncertainties in both normal and emergency *** prevailing uncertainties associated with renewable power generations,demand and electricity prices as well as uncertainties of islanding duration are addressed in the presented *** objective is to maximize the expected profit of the operator over the scheduling horizon,while restricting the risk of mandatory load shedding imposed by uncertain parameters within an acceptable *** to the proposed strategy,an efficient probabilistic index is obtained from generation reserve margin(GRM)in islanded mode,and applied to create a proper offering price signal to coordinate responsive loads with renewable generations providing more reliable *** effectiveness of the proposed strategy in terms of economy and reliability is investigated via a comparison with other *** numerical results illustrate that the proposed offering price strategy can improve the MG’s operation from both reliability and economic aspects.

Traditional and modern aspects of hemorrhoid treatment in Iran:a review

Hemorrhoidal disease is a prevalent anorectal condition which is generally not managed well with cur- rent pharmacologic interventions. However, in Iranian traditional medicine （ITM） there are numerous plants with hemorrhoid-healing properties. The present research assembled plants with hemorrhoid- healing properties in ITM; their related pharmacological effects, phytochemical constituents and mech- anisms of action in the modern medicine were also gathered. For this purpose, leading ITM textbooks were searched for plants with hemorrhoid-healing effects. Further, in vitro, in vivo and clinical studies on the most cited species were considered using scientific databases. Studying ITM textbooks revealed 37 medicinal plants with hemorrhoid-healing effects. Among the mentioned herbal medicines, six species, including Allium ampeloprasum, Phyllanthus emblica, Aloe vera, Terminalia chebula, Vitis vinifera and Comrniphora mukul, had the largest number of related pharmacological effects documented in scientific databases. These herbs from ITM should be considered as important resources for producing novel drugs for hemorrhoid treatment.

Aim： To test the hypothesis that levels of sperm disomy fell significantly in six men treated by traditional Chinese medicine （TCM）. Methods： Fluorescence in situ hybridization （FISH） was done on the sperm heads of six men before and during treatment by TCM. Results： There was a significant reduction in sperm disomy in all six men. This coincided with TCM treatment. Conclusion： This is the first study reporting a significant reduction in sperm disomy in men over a given time course. The fact that this coincided with TCM treatment is intriguing but no conclusions can be drawn from this until placebo-controlled clinical trials are implemented.
