The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

A Study of Phytoplankton Communities and Related Environmental Factors in Euphrates River (between Two Cities: Al-musayyab and Hindiya), Iraq

The phytoplankton communities and related physical-chemical features of the Euphrates River at its middle region inside Iraqi territory were studied during the study period from October 2011 to September 2012. Samples were taken from Al-musayab district extending to Al-Hindia district. The phytoplankton community (quantitative, qualitative and Chlorophyll-a) have been studied, in addition to many environmental parameters such as temperature, pH, electric conductivity (EC), Salinity (‰), TDS, TSS, dissolved oxygen, BOD5. A total of 105 phytoplankton taxa belonging to Bacillariophyta (69), Chlorophyta (19), Cynophyta (12), Euglenophyta (3), and Dinophyta (2) were recorded within the present study period. Some algal genera dominated mostly in the study period and sites such as Scendesmus, melosira, Cymbella, Diatoma, Navicula, Nitiazschia and Syndera. A statistical analysis was done using the canonical correspondence analysis (CCA).

An Iteration method to Solve the Boundary Layer Flow past a Flat Plate

An iteration method similar to the thin-wing-expansion method for the compressible flow has been proposed to solve the boundary layer flow past a flat plate. Using such an iteration, the first step of which is Oseen’s approximation, the boundary layer past a flat plate is studied. As proceeding from the first approximation to the second and third approximations, it is realized that our solution approaches to a well known howarth’s bench mark one gradually. Hence, it is concluded that the usefulness of the present method has been confirmed.

The objective of this guideline is to outline the role of magnetic resonance imaging(mRI) in clinical decision making and outcome prediction in patients with traumatic spinal cord injury(SCI).methods A systematic review of the literature was conducted to address key questions related to the use of mRI in patients with traumatic *** review focused on longitudinal studies that controlled for baseline neurologic status.A multidisciplinary Guideline Development Group(GDG) used this information,their clinical expertise,and patient input to develop recommendations on the use of mRI for SCI *** on GRADE(Grading of Recommendation,Assessment,Development and Evaluation),a strong recommendation is worded as " we recommend," whereas a weaker recommendation is indicated by "we suggest." Results Based on the limited available evidence and the clinical expertise of the GDG,our recommendations were:(1) "We suggest that mRI be performed in adult patients with acute SCI prior to surgical intervention,when feasible,to facilitate improved clinical decision-making"(quality of evidence,very low) and(2) "We suggest that mRI should be performed in adult patients in the acute period following SCI,before or after surgical intervention,to improve prediction of neurologic outcome "(quality of evidence,low).Conclusions These guidelines should be implemented into clinical practice to improve outcomes and prognostication for patients with SCI.

甜菜坏死黄脉病毒(BNYVV)及其新变异株P型和IV-A型仍对甜菜生产造成重大损失。选育抗病品种是防治该病的唯一有效措施。用ELISA和实时定量逆转录PCR技术测定BNYVV和***可对杂交后代分离群体或转基因后代中的抗病个体进行选择。AFLP、RAPD和PCR等分子标记的建立可对抗病基因位点Rz1(holly)、Rz2(WB42)、Rz3(WB41)和Rz4(C50,R22)进行辅助选择。在分离植物抗病基因方面,已获得含Rz1的BAC克隆和候选基因。转基因甜菜含重复倒置的BNYVV复制酶基因、RNA-2转运蛋白P15突变基因或CP基因显著提高了抗病性。国际合作可有效地利用资源,加快抗病种质创新。
