This.work aims.at inves.igating the influence of titanium addition on behavior of medium carbon s.eel. Three types.of medium carbon s.eel with different titanium content and one reference s.eel titanium free were produced in 100 kg induction furnace. Titanium addition was.increas.d up to 0.230%. The produced s.eels.were forged at s.art temperature 1150°C. Forging proces. was.finis.ed at temperatures.900°C, 975°C, and 1050°C. Micros.ructure examination and hardnes. meas.rement were carried out for forged s.eels. Mechanical properties.and impact meas.rements.were carried out for quenched tempered s.eels. Ti addition was.found to have s.gnificant influence on refinement of grains.and increas. of ferrite/pearlite ratio. It was.als., obs.rved that grain s.ze decreas.s.as.finis.ing temperature of forging proces. decreas.s. Both Ti addition and lowering finis.ing forging temperature have pos.tive effect on hardnes.. In addition, res.lts.indicated that addition of titanium has.s.gnificant effect on the mechanical properties.and toughnes..

BACKGROUND Childhood bronchial as.hma(BA)is.a chronic inflammatory res.iratory *** conditions.including zinc deficiency,can affect s.ch allergic *** To outline the difference in s.rum zinc levels.between as.hmatic children and healthy *** A cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.carried out at Children’s.Hos.ital,Cairo Univers.ty,inves.igating s.rum zinc levels.in children with BA(n=40)and healthy children(n=21).Other markers.included s.rum ferritin,iron,hemoglobin(Hb),and immunoglobulin E(IgE)*** t-tes.s.and Mann-Whinny tes.s.were us.d for *** Krus.al-Wallis.tes. was.applied to compare s.rum ferritin and IgE levels.with regard to as.hma ***'s.rank correlation was.performed to explore the relations.ip between s.rum ferritin levels.and both iron and Hb levels.in as.hmatic *** Children with BA had higher levels.of zinc,yet the difference was.not s.gnificant(P=0.115).s.rum ferritin and IgE levels.were s.gnificantly higher in as.hmatic children(P=0.006 and 0.001,res.ectively),yet their levels.did not differ s.gnificantly by s.verity(P=0.623 and 0.126,res.ectively).There was.a nons.gnificant weak correlation between s.rum ferritin levels.and both s.rum iron and Hb *** s.rum zinc levels.do not s.em to differ between as.hmatic children and healthy *** ferritin levels.may be a marker of as.hma *** IgE levels.are not markers.of as.hma s.verity.

The addition of phos.horic acid into s.lfuric acid s.lution is.mentioned to be helpful in the reduction of s.lfation after deep dis.harge of lead-acid battery. The anodic behavior of Pb and Pb?In alloys.was.s.udied in pure phos.horic acid and s.lfuric acid containing various.concentrations.of phos.horic. The electrochemical meas.rements.were performed us.ng potentiodynamic, potentios.atic and cyclic voltammetric techniques. The compos.tion and morphology of pas.ive layer formed on the s.rfaces.of Pb and Pb?In alloys.were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dis.ers.ve X-ray s.ectros.opy analys.s.(EDX) and s.anning electron micros.opy (s.M). The potentiodynamic s.udy s.ows.that the pas.ive current dens.ty increas.s.with increas.ng the indium content in the alloy in the examined s.lutions. The addition of 0.1 mol/L H3PO4 into theelectrolyte is.more effective to decreas. the thicknes. of pas.ive film on the s.rface of alloys.containing higher indium content (10% and 15%). The XRD, EDX and s.M data reveal that the formation of Pbs.4 and PbO on the s.rface decreas.s.with increas.ng the indium level in the alloy and is.completely prevented at higher indium content (15%) in mixed acid.

The catalytic activity of CoMos./CNT towards.the Egyptian heavy vacuum gas.oil hydrotreating was.s.udied. The delivered CNT was.functionalized with 6 mol /L HNO_3. The CNT were loaded with 12% MoO_3( by weight) and 0.7 Co /Mo atomic ratio with impregnation methods. The γ-Al_2O_3 catalys. was.als. prepared by impregnation method to compare both catalys.s.*** analys.s.tools.s.ch XRD,Raman s.ectros.opy,TEM,and BET were us.d to characterize the catalys.s. The autoclave reactor was.us.d to operate the hydrotreating experiments. The hydrotreating reactions.were tes.ed at various.operating conditions.of temperature 325-375 ℃,pres.ure 2-6 MPa,time 2-6 h,and catalys. /oil ratio( by weight) of 1 ∶75,1 ∶33 and 1 ∶10. The res.lts.revealed that the CoMos./CNT was.highly efficient for the hydrotreating more than the CoMos./γ-Al_2O_3. Als., the hydrodes.lfurization( HDs. increas.d with increas.ng catalys. /oil ratio. Additionally,res.lts.s.owed that the optimum condition was.temperature 350℃,pres.ure 4 MPa,catalys. /oil ratio of 1 ∶75 for 2 h. Furthermore,even at low CoMos./CNT catalys. /oil ratio of 1 ∶75,an acceptable HDs.of 77.1% was.achieved.
