A 43-year-old Chinese patient with a history of psoriasis developed fulminant ulcerative colitis after immunosuppressive therapy for steroid-resistant minimal change disease was stopped. Minimal change disease in association with inflammatory bowel disease is a rare condition. We here report a case showing an association between ulcerative colitis, minimal change disease, and psoriasis. The possible pathological link between 3 diseases is discussed.

为了提高薄膜晶体管液晶显示器的开口率,研究了在优化的钝化层沉积条件下的过孔尺寸。结果表明,随着钝化层沉积温度的升高,钝化层的刻蚀率在下降,过孔的尺寸变小。当钝化层沉积温度在360℃时,过孔尺寸为8.20μm。

AIM To compare high definition white light endoscopy and bright narrow band imaging for colon polyps' detection rates. METhoDS Patients were randomised to high definition white light endoscopy(HD-WLE) or the bright narrow band imaging(b NBI) during withdrawal of the colonoscope. Polyps identified in either mode were characterised using b NBI with dual focus(b NBI-DF) according to the Sano's classification. The primary outcome was to compare adenoma detection rates(ADRs) between the two arms. The secondary outcome was to assess the negative predictive value(NPV) in differentiating adenomas from hyperplastic polyps for diminutive rectosigmoid *** A total of 1006 patients were randomised to HD-WLE(n = 511) or b NBI(n = 495). The mean of adenoma per patient was 1.62 and 1.84, respectively. The ADRs in b NBI and HD-WLE group were 37.4% and 39.3%, respectively. When adjusted for withdrawal time(OR = 1.19, 95%CI: 1.15-1.24, P however HD-WLE had higher ADR after adjustment of withdrawal time. b NBI surpassed the PIVI threshold for diminutive polyps.

自19世纪华人下南洋达到高峰后,一部分华人选择留在马来(西)亚世代繁衍扎根,构建了具有当地特色的华人社会与文化。华人迁移到马来亚之初,也把中华的传统文化移植到当地。除了华人移民,来自印度南部的印裔移民也迁移到马来亚,同样将他们的文化移植当地。华人迁移到马来亚后,必须面对当地原来的文化以及其他外来文化,并在各种因素如历史背景、政治立场、经济利益等的影响下,与各种不同的文化产生冲突与矛盾。经过长时间生活在多元族群和多元文化的社会之中,马来亚华人在文化认同上也会受到主流文化——马来文化的影响。华人一方面维护自身的民族文化,另一方面也吸收外来文化,以适应居住国的风土与文化。这样的文化融合与调适,在马来亚于1957年独立前后更成为华人社会的重要议题。马来亚华人的国家认同、文化身份和语言教育等,都决定了当时马来亚华人的未来。作为20世纪50年代活跃于马来亚文坛的马华作家,鲁白野以跨文化、跨族群和跨语言的文化书写,对马来亚当时的多元文化作出相应的思考与回应,继而对自身的华人文化观作出调适与转化,充分展现了他及当时马来亚华裔文人在文化认同上的开放性、包容性和融合性。

BACKGROUND Invasive lobular carcinomas(ILC)form 5%-10%of breast cancer and rarely show overexpression of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2).AIM To describe the prevalence and prognostic factors of HER2 positive(HER2+)ILC in an Asian *** A retrospective review of patients with ILC seen between January 1985 and March 2018 at various SingHealth medical institutions was *** and clinical data were collected from medical *** examined clinicopathological characteristics and survival in relation to HER2 *** A total of 864 patients were *** of HER2 positivity was 10.1%(87 patients).Compared with HER2 negative(HER2-)ILC,HER2+ILC was associated with a higher proportion of estrogen receptor negative(24.4%vs 5.9%,P<0.001),progesterone receptor negative(PR-)(40.2%vs 24%,P=0.002)and grade 3 tumours(Grade 3,29.0%vs 10.2%,P<0.001).Overall survival rate was poorer in patients with HER2+compared to HER2-ILC(56.7%vs 72.9%alive at 10 years;hazard ratio 1.87,95%confidence interval:1.21-2.90,P=0.004).Based on multivariate analysis,negative prognostic factors for overall survival included HER2 positivity,PR negativity,older age,Indian ethnicity and higher tumour *** Prevalence of HER2+ILC was 10.1%.HER2+ILC was more likely to have poorer prognostic features such as estrogen receptor negative,PR-and higher tumour grade,and have a poorer survival.

Background:The current World Health Organization(Who) classification of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) con?veys little prognostic *** study aimed to propose an NPC histopathologic classification that can poten?tially be used to predict prognosis and treatment ***:We initially developed a histopathologic classification based on the morphologic traits and cell differentia?tion of tumors of 2716 NPC patients who were identified at Sun Yat?sen University Cancer Center(SYSUCC)(training cohort).Then,the proposed classification was applied to 1702 patients(retrospective validation cohort) from hospitals outside SYSUCC and 1613 patients(prospective validation cohort) from *** efficacy of radiochemotherapy and radiotherapy modalities was compared between the proposed *** used Cox proportional hazards models to estimate hazard ratios(HRs) with 95% confidence intervals(CI) for overall survival(OS).Results:The 5?year OS rates for all NPC patients who were diagnosed with epithelial carcinoma(EC;3708 patients),mixed sarcomatoid?epithelial carcinoma(MSEC;1247 patients),sarcomatoid carcinoma(SC;823 patients),and squamous cell carcinoma(SCC;253 patients) were 79.4%,70.5%,59.6%,and 42.6%,respectively(P horter OS than patients with EC(HR = 1.44,95% CI = 1.27–1.62),SC(HR = 2.00,95% CI = 1.76–2.28),or SCC(HR = 4.23,95% CI = 3.34–5.38).Radiochemotherapy significantly improved survival compared with radiotherapy alone for patients with EC(HR 49–0.75),and possibly for those with SCC(HR = 0.67,95% CI = 0.56–0.80),MSEC(HR = 0.58,95% CI = 0..74–1.28).= 0.63;95% CI = 0.40–0.98),but not for patients with SC(HR = 0.97,95% CI = 0Conclusions:The proposed classification offers more information for the prediction of NPC prognosis compared with the Who classification and might be a valuable tool to guide treatment decisions for subtypes that are associ?ated with a poor prognosis.

We report new photometric observations of the transiting exoplanetary system WASP-32 made by using CCD cameras at Yunnan Observatories and ho koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre, China from 2010 to 2012. Following our usual procedure, the observed data are corrected for systematic errors according to the coarse decorrelation and SYSREM algorithms so as to enhance the signal of the transit events. Combined with radial velocity data presented in the literature, our newly observed data and earlier photometric data in the literature are simultaneously analyzed to derive the physical parameters describing the system by employing the Markov chain Monte Carlo technique. The derived parameters are consistent with the result published in the original paper about WASP-32b, but the uncertainties of the new parameters are smaller than those in the original paper. Moreover, our modeling result supports a circular orbit for WASP-32b. Through the analysis of all available mid-transit times, we have refined the orbital period of WASP-32b; no evident transit timing variation is found in these transit events.
