Integrated Mineral Analysis of sandstone and dolomite formations using different chelating agents during matrix acidizing

Mineral analysis plays a major role in the successful matrix acidizing as it shows the change in physiochemical changes in the formation due to the reaction with fluids *** of the reservoir can be altered by injecting mineral acids during matrix *** various complications are connected during the application of these acids such as environmental hazards,corrosion of pipes and tubings,precipitation of fluosilicates and fast spending of *** mitigate these problems,chelating agents have been applied as an alternative by different *** this study,three different chelating agents EDTA,GLDA and HEDTA were applied to stimulate sandstone and dolomite *** pH value of these chelates ranges from 1.7 to 3 and is measured before and after core flooding to observe physiochemical *** flooding experiments under 180F temperature were performed at a constant flow rate of 1 ml/min on core samples having dimensions(3 inch1.5 inch).Porosity,permeability,Inductively Coupled Plasma(ICP),and TESCAN Integrated Mineral Analysis(TIMA)were employed to measure changes in formation properties such as morphology,topology and *** reacted sample of acids was analyzed for sodium,potassium,calcium,aluminium,magnesium,and iron using the ICP technique to find the capability of these chelates to remove positive *** found to be effective in chelating iron,calcium and magnesium and it also removed some amount of aluminium ions from the sandstone *** and porosity analysis concluded that HEDTA is more efficient in creating new big pore *** analysis confirms that HEDTA is effective in dissolving quartz and other positive ions while dissolved a large amount of calcium and sodium from the sandstone as compared to other *** analysis also concluded that HEDTA is effective in increasing porosity of sandstone formation while GLDA is effective in dolomites.

Selective androgen receptor modulators(SARMs)are a class of nonsteroidal drugs that are favored over anabolic androgenic steroids(AASs)for their tissue-selectivity and improved side-effect *** drugs have been evaluated for treatment of various diseases including muscle-wasting disorders,osteoporosis,and breast *** lacking approval for therapeutic use,SARMs are widely used recreationally as performance enhancing drugs by bodybuilders and *** recent years,cases of drug-induced liver injury(DILI)secondary to SARMs have begun to emerge,but little is known regarding their *** this review,we provide current knowledge regarding DILI from SARMs.A literature search was conducted regarding SARMs and liver injury to evaluate relevant cases and *** have been associated with a cholestatic syndrome congruent with that of DILI from AASs,and it consists of a bland cholestasis in which there is minimal bile duct injury,inflammation,or *** present with an insidious onset of jaundice with marked hyperbilirubinemia and mild hepatic enzyme *** clear treatment exists,although patients typically show improvement with cessation of the offending *** the novelty of these drugs,further study is necessary to understand diagnosis,management,and complications of SARM-related DILI.

Modeling interaction between CO_(2),brine and chalk reservoir rock including temperature effect on petrophysical properties

Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))capture and sequestration through CO_(2)enhanced oil recovery(EOR)in oil reservoirs is one of the approaches considered to reduce CO_(2)emission into the *** injection of CO_(2)into a subsurface geological formation may lead to chemical reactions that may affect the formation pore structure and *** this study,the effect of CO_(2)ebrineerock interaction on the rock petrophysical properties and mineral volume fraction was numerically investigated during CO_(2)injection into a chalk reservoir rock.A 3D numerical modeling and simulation were conducted using COMSOL®Multiphysics commercial software of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)to simulate CO_(2)ebrine core flooding process in a chalk *** model was validated against a coreescale experimental data from *** differential pressure data matched the literature experimental data closely and consistently indicating good agreement between *** effect on the performance of CO_(2)ebrineechalk sequestration was also evaluated in the present *** indicated that porosity was only slightly affected by temperature increase during CO_(2)injection in contrast to permeability that was substantially affected by ***,chemical reactions enhanced as temperature increased leading to significant increase in ***,carbonated brine sequestration excelled at elevated temperature due to increased acidity which governs the sequestration *** developed model maybe considered as a reliable tool to optimize various operating parameters of CO_(2)ebrine sequestration.

Network updates have become increasingly prevalent since the broad adoption of software-defined networks(SDNs)in data *** TCP designs,including cutting-edge TCP variants DCTCP,CUBIC,and BBR,however,are not resilient to network updates that provoke flow *** this paper,we first demonstrate that popular TCP implementations perform inadequately in the presence of frequent and inconsistent network updates,because inconsistent and frequent network updates result in out-of-order packets and packet drops induced via transitory congestion and lead to serious performance *** look into the causes and propose a network update-friendly TCP(NUFTCP),which is an extension of the DCTCP variant,as a *** are used to assess the proposed *** findings reveal that NUFTCP can more effectively manage the problems of out-of-order packets and packet drops triggered in network updates,and it outperforms DCTCP considerably.

Border Gateway Protocol(BGP)is a standard inter-domain routing protocol for the Internet that conveys network layer reachability information and establishes routes to different *** BGP protocol exhibits security design defects,such as an unconditional trust mechanism and the default acceptance of BGP route announcements from peers by BGP neighboring nodes,easily triggering prefix hijacking,path forgery,route leakage,and other BGP security ***,the traditional BGP security mechanism,relying on a public key infrastructure,faces issues like a single point of failure and a single point of *** decentralization,anti-tampering,and traceability advantages of blockchain offer new solution ideas for constructing secure and trusted inter-domain routing *** this paper,we summarize the characteristics of BGP protocol in detail,sort out the BGP security threats and their ***,we analyze the shortcomings of the traditional BGP security mechanism and comprehensively evaluate existing blockchain-based solutions to address the above problems and validate the reliability and effectiveness of blockchain-based BGP security methods in mitigating BGP security ***,we discuss the challenges posed by BGP security problems and outline prospects for future research.

Numerical Simulation of the Mechanical Stirring Process in a Tannin-Based Foaming Precursor Resin

Tannin foam is a new functional *** can be widely applied to the automobile industry,construction industry,and packaging industry due to its wide range of raw materials,renewable,easily degraded,low cost and almost no *** tannin foam is a very complex process that includes high temperature,two phases,mechanical agitation,and phase *** investigate the influence of the stirring velocity and paddle shape,simulation was calculated by making use of the volume of fluid(VOF)method and multiple reference frame(MRF)method in a three-dimensional flow field of tannin-based foaming precursor *** gas holdup and velocity magnitude were analysed with various conditions of mechanical velocities and paddle shape in the stirring flow *** result shows the higher the velocity,the greater the disturbance and paddle shape between the eggbeater and the Rushton turbine,obviously the paddle shape of the eggbeater with a wider range of agitation,which can entrap more air into the tannin-based foaming precursor resin in a short *** when the speed is 1500 rpm,the flow field of the Rushton turbine comes out of a ditch,which decreases the efficiency of mass transfer;there is less air to mix into the tannin-based foaming precursor resin,which causes *** the same time,the eggbeater shows the marvelous capability of hybrid as it has two vortexes and multiple cycles that make a difference from the Rushton turbine,which has only one vortex and two upper and lower loops;the structure makes the flow field more stable allowed evenness of flow field tannin-based foaming precursor *** results reveal that it is beneficial for tannin-based foaming precursor resin to use an eggbeater with a speed of 1500 rpm to reduce the consumption of resources while obtaining a uniform flow field.

Fusobacterium 's link to colorectal neoplasia sequenced: A systematic review and future insights

AIM To critically evaluate previous scientific evidence on Fusobacterium's role in colorectal neoplasia *** Two independent investigators systematically reviewed all original scientific articles published between January,2000,and July,2017,using Pub Med,EMBASE,and MEDLINE. A total of 355 articles were screened at the abstract level. Of these,only original scientific human,animal,and in vitro studies investigating Fusobacterium and its relationship with colorectal cancer(CRC) were included in the analysis. Abstracts,review articles,studies investigating other colonic diseases,and studies written in other languages than English were excluded from our analysis. Ninety articles were included after removing duplicates,resolving disagreements between the two reviewers,and applying the above *** Studies have consistently identified positive associations between Fusobacterium,especially Fusobacterium nucleatum(F. nucleatum),and CRC. Stronger associations were seen in CRCs proximal to the splenic flexure and Cp G island methylator phenotype(CIMP)-high CRCs. There was evidence of temporality and a biological gradient,with increased F. nucleatum DNA detection and quantity along the traditional adenoma-carcinoma sequence and in CIMP-high CRC precursors. Diet may have a differential impact on colonic F. nucleatum enrichment;evidence suggests that high fiber diet may reduce the risk of a subset of CRCs that are F. nucleatum DNA-positive. Data also suggest shorter CRC and disease-specific survival with increased amount of F. nucleatum DNA in CRC tissue. The pathophysiology of enrichment of F. nucleatum and other Fusobacterium species in colonic tissue is unclear;however,the virulence factors and changes to the local colonic environment with disruption of the protective mucus layer may contribute. The presence of a host lectin(Gal-Gal NAc) in the colonic epithelium may also mediate F. nucleatum attachment to CRC and precursors through interaction with a

Effect of Post-Added Water Amount on Pre-Concentrated Bark Foaming Materials by Mechanical Stirring

In this study,pre-concentrated bark,furfuryl alcohol and other biomass raw materials were used to prepare foaming materials by high-speed mechanical stirring without using a foaming *** investigated the effect of the postadded water amount on the properties of foaming *** particular,we determined basic physical properties of these materials,including the limiting oxygen index(LOI),porosity,thermal conductivity,thermogravimetric analysis,pore size distribution,and *** results of scanning electron microscopy(SEM)indicated that the pore size distribution was uniform and the pore size increased with increasing water *** analysis(TG/DTG)showed that when the temperature reached 410°C,the foam was easily decomposed,the final residual mass was only 2.8%,and water addition had little effect on ***,the amount of post-added water is 5–30 g,the density and compression strength of the foamed materials gradually decreased,while the degree of pulverization *** ranged from 26.1%to 30.79%,and porosity ranged from 81%to 83%.The change in water volume greatly affected the foam’s performance,the performance of foamed material deteriorated as the amount of added water increased,but the effect on thermal conductivity was not very *** highest thermal conductivity was only 0.0179 W/(m·K),still providing excellent thermal insulation.

Preparation of an Abrasive Grinding Wheel Based on Tannin Resin Cross- Linked by Furfuryl Alcohol, Urea and Glyoxal

Simple bio-based abrasive grinding wheel based on thermosetting resin matrix was developed starting with condensed tannin and furfuryl alcohol,which are mainly derived from forest and agricultural products like tree barks,wheat and *** transform infrared spectra(FTIR)signified the acidic conditions are quiet efficient for the reaction of furfuryl alcohol,urea and glyoxal all together and the-CH_(2)-NH-and-CH_(2)-O-CH(OH)-groups are predominating in cross-linking of the tannin-furfuryl alcohol-urea-glyoxal(TFUG)*** strengthening contribution of the tannin was also confirmed by the preservation of its distinct crystallinity using X-ray diffraction(XRD).Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)ensured that TFUG resin can be cured at low temperature and offer higher heat resistance compared with phenol-formaldehyde(PF)*** high hardness and excellent compressive strength revealed by the corresponding investigations such as Brinell hardness,compression resistance,and grinding tests suggested a strong abrasive ability using the new grinding wheel compared with lab-made grinding wheel based on PF *** could be ascribed to the absence of cracks and low content of formed holes as confirmed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and balanced reaction conditions that leads to network structure with regular local reinforcements and homogeneous crosslink density.
