目的:评估单剂量枸橼酸西地那非片对早期年龄相关性黄斑变性(AMD)男性患者视功能的急性效应。方法:早期年龄相关性黄斑变性男40例,年龄58～86(平均71)岁,前瞻性随机接受安慰剂或者枸橼酸西地那非片(Viagra;Pfizer Inc,New York,NY)100mg,单次口服。受试者双眼在接受药物之前及之后9h内特定的时间间期进行视力、Amsler方格表及辨色力检查。结果:与安慰剂相比,服用枸橼酸西地那非片后视功能检查均未有明显改变。视力和辨色力检查在基线水平上未见有统计意义或临床相关的改变,Amsler方格表检查未见临床相关的改变。服用枸橼酸西地那非片与短暂的轻度至中度头痛和面红有关。结论:单次口服100mg枸橼酸西地那非片,在早期年龄相关性黄斑变性男性样本人群中,耐受性良好,未对视觉产生显著急性效应。

Honey is known for its medicinal benefits and receiving renewed attention as natural *** on health benefits of honey attributed its antioxidant activity to phenolic compounds,but the contribution of proteins and peptides to the antioxidant activity of honey is *** aim of this study was to explore the contribution of proteins and peptides to the antioxidant activity of honey,which remained obscure for *** honey proteins(THP)were isolated by dialysis method and hydrolyzed through simulated gastrointestinal *** hydrolysates were fractionated using size-exclusion *** antioxidant activity was determined by using superoxide radical-scavenging,DPPH reduction and intracellular ROS *** was shown to exhibit superoxide-scavenging activity but its pepsin-hydrolysate(HP-p)showed superior scavenging *** HP-p produced five peptide fractions(P1~P5)when fractionated on Sephacryl S-100 size-exclusion *** five fractions showed superoxide-scavenging activities and DPPH reducing activities,whereas the slow-eluting peptide fractions(P3 and P4)were the most ***-TOf/MS analysis identified a pentapeptide(TSNTf)as the dominant peptide in the active fractions P3 and *** colonic epithelial cells treated with P3 and P4 peptides exhibited lower intracellular ROS,when oxidative stress was induced by H2O2 or diethyl maleate(DEM),indicating strong tolerance to oxidative *** viabilities of human cells or yeast cells were largely decreases under oxidative stress,but treated cells with P3 and P4 showed higher viability compared with the untreated *** results are the first to describe a novel antioxidant peptide from honey that confer ex vivo anti-oxidative function within a complicated milieu of eukaryotic cells and pave the way for its potential as nutraceutical or therapeutic peptide for risk-reduction of oxidative-stress and related diseases.

Camel milk is traditionally considered to have medicinal characteristics that it has potential health benefits and could help to treat several illnesses. Particularly, it is closest to human breast milk and has high levels of nutrients and bioactive components. The aim of this study was to explore the antioxidant peptides derived from protein fractions of camel milk. Camel milk proteins(CMP) were fractionated into camel casein protein(CCP) and camel whey protein(CWP), which were hydrolyzed with pepsin to produce peptic digests P-CCP and P-CWP, respectively. RP-HPLC was used for fractionation of the peptides from the P-CCP and P-CWP. The antioxidant activities were evaluated using superoxide anion generating system of xanthine oxidase(XOD)and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) scavenging assay. Active peptides were analyzed using matrixassisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOf-MS) whereas a number of antioxidant peptides, with masses ranging from 913 to 2,951 Da, derived mainly from alpha-casein, lactophorin and lactoferrin, were identified. When yeast cells are used as a system for modeling mitochondrial disease, the peptides in caseins and whey fractions significantly enhanced the tolerance of yeast cells against peroxide-induced oxidative stress. The results show that both caseins and whey proteins of camel milk possess bioactive peptides with significant radical-scavenging activities and thus herald a fascinating opportunity for their potential as nutraceuticals or therapeutic peptides for prevention and treatment of oxidative stress-associated diseases.

Laboratory measurements using nuclear magnetic resonance,scanning electron microscopy,and gas porosity and permeability analysis were conducted to acquire a petrophysical interpretation of the Carbon Tan Sandstone and Savonnieres Carbonate for potential carbon dioxide storage in subsurface *** relationships between pore structures,such as pore-size distribution,pore geometry,and porosity/permeability,were investigated near and far from the *** operating pressures of 2500psi(17.24 MPa)and temperatures of 176f(50℃),carbonated water was injected into a composite core constructed of two similar core samples bounded by a compact disc located between *** current results showed that a strong calcite dissolution took place near the injection position of both rock samples and led to improvements in the primary intergranular permeability and porosity,while the carbonate sample showed significant improvement compared to *** durable heterogeneous dissolution of calcite grains also led to the creation of new pores as intra-granular *** at deeper depths from the injection position,it noticed an insignificant development in pore structure and its populations as well as rock hydraulic properties of both rock *** conclusion,the study revealed that the injected carbonated brine had a valuable impact on fluid-formation interactive,which improved rock's inlet properties compared with outlet.

In the framework of Strutinsky＇s approach, we calculated the shell and the residual pairing correction energies for 5569 even-even nuclei in the range 72 ≤ Z ≤ 282 and 96≤N ≤ 540. Quasi-magic numbers and deformed islands of stability that reside in a range defined by Green＇s formula and the two-neutrons drip line are introduced. We present 36 quasi-magic proton and 53 quasi-magic neutron magic numbers that contribute to the formation of 133 deformed islands of stability along the N-Z space. The quasi-magic proton and neutron magic numbers volatile as the mass number increases and other magic numbers take over. Consequently, the deformed islands of stability fail to exhibit a pattern along the search space covered.

New stem cell based therapies are undergoing intense research and are widely investigated in clinical fields including the urinary system. The urinary bladder performs critical complex functions that rely on its highly coordinated anatomical composition and multiplex of regulatory mechanisms. Bladder pathologies resulting in severe dysfunction are common clinical encounter and often cause significant impairment of patient's quality of life. Current surgical and medical interventions to correct urinary dysfunction or to replace an absent or defective bladder are sub-optimal and are associated with notable complications. As a result, stem cell based therapies for the urinary bladder are hoped to offer new venues that could make up for limitations of existing therapies. In this article, we review research efforts that describe the use of different types of stem cells in bladder reconstruction, urinary incontinence and retention disorders. In particular, stress urinary incontinence has been a popular target for stem cell based therapies in reported clinical trials. furthermore, we discuss the relevance of the cancer stem cell hypothesis to the development of bladder cancer. A key subject that should not be overlooked is the safety and quality of stem cell based therapies introduced to human subjects either in a research or a clinical context.
