Characterization of a microsecond pulsed non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure Ar plasma using laser scattering and optical emission spectroscopy

A non-equilibrium atmospheric pressure argon(Ar)plasma excited by microsecond pulse is studied experimentally by laser scattering and optical emission spectroscopy(OES),and theoretically by collisional-radiative(CR)*** specifically,the electron temperature and electron density of plasma are obtained directly by the laser Thomson scattering,the gas temperature is measured by laser Raman scattering,the optical emissions of excited Ar states of plasma are measured by *** laser scattering results show that the electron temperature is about 1 eV which is similar to that excited by 60 Hz AC power,but the gas temperature is as low as 300 K compared to about 700 K excited by 60 Hz AC *** is shown that the microsecond pulsed power supply,rather than nanosecond ones,is short enough to reduce the gas temperature of atmospheric pressure plasma to near room *** electron temperature and electron density are also obtained by CR model based on OES,and find that the intensities of the optical emission intensity lines of 727.41,811.73,841.08,842.83,852.44 and 912.86 nm of Ar can be used to characterize the behavior of electron density and electron temperature,it is very useful to quickly estimate the activity of the atmospheric pressure Ar plasma in many applications.

Incorporating nitrogen(N)atom in graphene is considered a key technique for tuning its electrical ***,this is still a great challenge,and it is unclear how to build N-graphene with desired nitrogen *** is a lack of experimental evidence to explain the influence and mechanism of structural defects for nitrogen incorporation into graphene compared to the derived DFT ***,this gap is bridged through a systematic study of different nitrogen-containing gaseous plasma post-treatments on graphene nanowalls(CNWs)to produce N-CNWs with incorporated and substituted *** structural and morphological analyses describe a remarkable difference in the plasma–surface interaction,nitrogen concentration and nitrogen incorporation mechanism in CNWs by using different nitrogen-containing *** conductivity measurements revealed that the conductivity of the N-graphene is strongly influenced by the position and concentration of C–N bonding *** findings open up a new pathway for the synthesis of N-graphene using plasma post-treatment to control the concentration and configuration of incorporated nitrogen for application-specific properties.

The paper proposes a function of active path selection to the destination by users and implemented the function into the FTP application by using the routing header defined in IPv6 specifications. It also develops the "support system for quality selection'', which supports the selection by providing information on each path, experimentally. Nanographene materials have attracted much attention as their unique structures,interesting properties,and promising device ***,we established a high-speed synthesis technique of nanographene employing alcohols and in-liquid plasma,and confirm high crystallinity of synthesized *** this study,growth processes and mechanisms of nanographenes are *** this method,one Ni electrode was immersed into an ethanol,and the other was fixed above the ethanol level at gaseous Ar *** a 9 kV and 60 Hz ac-power to these electrodes,the in-liquid plasma was *** the plasma discharge for 20 minutes,it was found that black-colored nanographenes with a size of microns were dispersed in the *** black substances and yellow-colored extraction liquid were separated by *** sharp G-band peaks at 1581 cm-1 in Raman spectra and the interlayer spacing（3.33 A） between graphite basal planes observed in the transmission electron microscopy（TEM） images revealed the high-crystallinity of synthesized *** the crystallographic properties were not significantly changed owing to the kinds of alcohols and electrode *** the other hand,according to the liquid chromatography analysis,various types of aromatic hydrocarbons were generated in the *** results indicate that the in-liquid plasma discharge induce the dissolution of alcoholic molecules and generation of aromatic hydrocarbons as elementary steps of nanographene ***,the polymerization of the aromatic hydrocarbons results in the nanographene *** results will open the way to further development of high-speed synthesis and precise control of crystallographic properties.

Non-invasive potato defects detection has been demanded for sorting and grading *** on the classification of the defects has been available,however,investigation on the severity level calculation is *** the detection of the common scab,it has been found that imaging in the infrared region provide an interesting characteristic that could distinguish defected area to normal ***,investigations on this wavelength range is interesting to add more knowledge and for *** this research,the multispectral image has been obtained and investigated especially at three wavelengths(950,1150,1600 nm).Image pre-processing and pseudo-color conversion techniques were explored to enhance the contrast between defects,normal background skin area and soil *** show that external defects,such as common scab and some mechanical damage types,appear brighter in the near infrared region,especially at 1600 nm against the normal skin *** has been found that pseudo-color images conversion provides more information regarding type if surface characteristics compared to grayscale single *** segmentation using pseudo-color images after multiplication operation pre-processing could be used for common scab and mechanical damage detection excluding soil deposits with a Dice Sorensen coefficient of *** addition,image segmentation using single image at 1600 nm shown relatively better results with Dice Sorensen coefficient of 0.72 with note that thick soil deposits will also be *** severity level evaluation had an R2 correlation of 0.84 against standard measurements of severity.

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(***)eradication treatment for primary gastric mucosaassociated lymphoid tissue(MALT)lymphoma has already been ***,t(11;18)(q21;q21)/API2-MALT1 translocation-positive lesions are a type of primary gastric MALT lymphoma in which a response to eradication treatment is difficult to *** addition,trisomy 18 may be associated with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)transformation of gastric MALT *** SUMMARY A 66-year-old man was diagnosed with MALT lymphoma in the ascending colon by colonoscopy and *** years later,esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed chronic atrophic gastritis that was positive for ***,and eradication treatment was *** years and nine months later(at the age of 70),a new ulcerative lesion suggestive of MALT lymphoma appeared in the gastric body,and six months later,a similar lesion was also found in the *** year later(4 years and 3 months after *** eradication),at the age of 72,the lesion in the gastric body had become deeper and had propagated.A biopsy revealed a pathological diagnosis of *** MALT lymphoma lesions in the ascending colon and DLBCL lesions in the stomach were positive for the t(11;18)(q21;q21)/API2-MALT1 translocation,and trisomy 18q21 was also *** 6 courses of R-CHOP(rituximab,cyclophosphamide,doxorubicin,vincristine and prednisone)chemotherapy,all of the above lesions disappeared[complete remission(CR)],and CR has been maintained for more than 3 *** addition,both the colonic and gastric lesions were proven to have the same *** Because the patient had a MALT1 translocation with trisomy 18q21,it was thought that this gastric MALT lymphoma developed independently of *** infection and progressed.

In situ observation of the Rayleigh–Taylor instability of liquid Fe and Fe–Si alloys under extreme conditions: Implications for planetary core formation

Rayleigh–Taylor(RT)instability,which occurs when a heavy fluid overlies a light fluid in a gravitational field,is an important scenario for planetary core formation,especially beneath the planetary magma *** process has been discussed based on numerical simulations and experiments using analog ***,experiments on the RT instability using the core-forming melt have not been performed at high *** this study,we perform in situ observation of the RT instability of liquid Fe and Fe–Si(Si10 and 20 wt.%)alloys under high pressure using a high-power laser-shock *** observed perturbation on the Fe–Si surface grows exponentially with time,while there is no obvious growth of perturbations on the Fe in the measured time ***,the growth rate of the RT instability increases with Si *** timescale of the initial growth of the RT instability in planetary interiors is likely to be much faster(by more than two orders of magnitude)than the 30–403106 year timescale of planetary core formation.

Evaluation of Spontaneous Fertility after Medical Treatment of Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy in Two Hospitals in the City of Yaounde

Background: Ectopic pregnancy is a major cause of maternal morbidity and mortality, estimated to occur in 1% - 2% of pregnancies worldwide. This condition also has an adverse effect on the fertility prospects of women who experience it. Objective: To determine the outcomes of subsequent spontaneous fertility after medical treatment of patients with methotrexate (MTX) in patients with ectopic pregnancy at two university teaching hospitals of Yaounde. Methodology: We carried out a cross-sectional study with retrospective data collection in two university teaching hospitals of Yaounde during a six years period from 1st January 2015 to 31st May 2021. Seventy records of patients who had medical treatment for ectopic pregnancy were included in this study. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS. 23. The Chi-2 statistical test was used to compare qualitative variables. Binary logistic regression method was performed to identify independent risk factors associated with infertility after medical treatment of tubal ectopic pregnancy (TEP). The significance level was set at 0.05. Results: The mean age in our study population was 27.8 ± 3.8 years. According to the past medical history, 52.9% had a pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and the most frequently germ found was C. trachomatis (47.1%). Almost 15% of our study population had previous surgery for EP. The median Fernandez score was 11 with a minimum score of 4 and a maximum score of 13. The route of administration of methotrexate was intramuscular in all our patients, and the single-dose protocol was used most frequently (58.6%). After medical treatment of the EP, we found a spontaneous conception rate of 58.6%. After multivariate analysis, we were unable to confirm that there was an association between a history of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and fertility prognosis. Conclusion: The spontaneous fertility rate after medical management of EP was 58.6%, of which 73.2% were term pregnanci

Effects of Fresh Cupressus sempervirens Leaves Infusion on Growth Performance, Intestinal Microbiota and Haemato-Biochemical Parameters in Broilers

The accumulation of growth-promoting antibiotic residues in animal products and the resistance developed by bacteria in poultry farms has led to a search for natural compounds derived from plants. This study was designed to promote the production performance of broiler chickens using fresh Cupressus sempervirens leaves infusion. Fresh Cupressus sempervirens leaves were harvested, washed, chopped and ground to a paste using a blender and fermented for three days in a closed container at a rate of 500 g/L of water. The solution obtained was filtered and added at the rate of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 ml/L of drinking water. The chickens fed on the graded level of the solution were compared to a control ration without an additive and positive control group supplemented with 1 g antibiotic/kg feed. At the finisher phase and throughout the study period, water intake increased significantly (P 0.05) affected by the inclusion of Cupressus sempervirens infusion. Haematological parameters significantly (P < 0.05) increase independently of the rate of incorporation of the infusion into the drinking water, with the exception of RBCs, MCHT and PCT. Serum content in total protein, globulins, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides were significantly (P < 0.05) high with 8 and 10 ml Cupressus sempervirens infusion/litre drinking water as compared to all other treatments. AST, ALT, urea, creatine, albumin, total cholesterol and HDL-cholesterol were not significantly affected. The lactic acid bacteria load increased significantly (P E. coli and salmonella counts decreased significantly (P < 0.05)
