Selective Laser Melting(SLM),one of the metal additive manufacturing methods in the powder bed,is frequently used in the production of 316L stainless steel *** this study,the effect of duplex surface modification(metal additive manufacturing and plasma oxidizing)on the corrosion resistance of 316L was ***6Al4V layer was formed by additive manufacturing on 316L produced by selective laser melting *** obtained layered Ti6Al4V/316L samples were oxidized by plasma at 650℃–750℃ and 1 h–4 h parameter ***_(2)ceramic layer was formed on the Ti6Al4V/316L structure by plasma oxidation process in several layer *** properties of the TiO_(2)layer were determined by Open Circuit Potential(OCP),potentiodynamic polarization,and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS)tests in Simulated Body Fluid(SBF)***,the surface characterizations of the samples were determined by the Vickers micro-hardness tester,Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),and X-Ray Diffractometer(XRD)*** the results,it was obtained that the corrosion resistance of the plasma oxidized was higher than the untreated 316L and layered Ti6Al4V/316L *** best corrosion resistance was obtained under the 750℃ and 4 h parameter conditions because of the increasing plasma oxidizing time and temperature.

Joining is a crucial process for the production of complex-shaped advanced engineering *** understanding of ceramic–metal interfaces during joining or following heat-treatment steps is therefore of important concern in designing the new *** discharge joining(CDJ)method was firstly carried out to compose the ceramic–metal joint material by silicon nitride(Si3N4)–titanium(Ti)***,heat treatment was performed on the Si3N4-Ti joints in air atmosphere at 1000℃temperature to reveal the interface reactions and *** layer that occurred between the Si3N4 and Ti interfaces and new phase formations were examined by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)-based various imaging and chemical analysis *** transparent samples for TEM characterization were prepared by focused ion beam(FIB)milling and lifting *** on the detailed TEM results,Si and N diffusion arising from the Si3N4 ceramic was observed towards Ti metal foil side and further interacted with Ti *** upshot of current diffusion was that Ti3N2 reaction layer with 50 nm thickness was formed at the interface while titanium silicon nitride(Ti6Si3N)matrix phase including dendritic-shaped Ti2 N grains occurred in the Ti *** is believed that our TEM-based microscopy results not only provide the knowledge on ceramic–metal joint materials by CDJ method,but also contribute new insights on the development of various new joint systems.

Creation of fermionic particles by a time-dependent electric field and a space-dependent magnetic field is studied with the Bogoulibov transformation method. Exact analytic solutions of the Dirac equation are obtained in terms of the Whittaker functions and the particle creation number density depending on the electric and magnetic fields is determined.

Interfacial phase change memory （iPCM） based on GeTe and Sb2Te3 superlattices （SLs） is an emerging contender for non-volatile data storage applications. A detailed knowledge of the atomic structure of these materials is crucial for further development of SLs and for a better understanding of the resistivity switching characteristics of iPCM devices. In this work, crystalline GeTe-Sb2TeB- based SLs, produced by pulsed laser deposition onto a Si（111） substrate at temperatures lower than in previous studies, are analyzed by advanced scanning transmission electron microscopy. The results reveal the formation of Ge-rich Ge（x＋y）Sb（2-y）Tez building blocks with specific numbers of ordered Ge cation layers （between I and 5） and disordered cation layers （4） for z = 6-10, as well as intermixed cation layers for z = 5, within the SLs. The G Ge（x＋y）Sb（2-y）Tez units are separated from the Sb2Te3 building blocks by van der Waals gaps. In particular, the interlayer bonding is promoted by the formation of outermost cation layers consisting of intermixed GeSb within the building blocks adjacent to the van der Waals gaps. The Ge（x＋y）Sb（2-y）Tez units with z 〉 5 retain metastable crystal structures with two-dimensional bonding within the SLs. The present study shed new light on the possible configurations of the building units that can be formed during the synthesis of GeTe-Sb2Te3-based iPCM materials. In addition, a possible switching mechanism active in iPCM materials is discussed.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is one of the deadliest cancers,mostly due to its resistance to *** these,checkpoint inhibitors(CPI)are inefficient when used as monotherapy,except in the case of a rare subset of tumors harboring microsatellite instability(<2%).This inefficacy mainly resides in the low immunogenicity and non-inflamed phenotype of *** abundant stroma generates a hypoxic microenvironment and drives the recruitment of immunosuppressive cells through cancerassociated-fibroblast activation and transforming growth factorβ*** strategies have recently been developed to overcome this immunosuppressive *** therapies involving CPI aim at increasing tumor immunogenicity and promoting the recruitment and activation of effector T *** studies are therefore exploring the association of CPI with vaccines,oncolytic viruses,MEK inhibitors,cytokine inhibitors,and hypoxia-and stroma-targeting *** T-cell transfer is also under ***,translational studies on tumor tissue and blood,prior to and during treatment may lead to the identification of biomarkers with predictive value for both clinical outcome and response to immunotherapy.

In modeling reliability data,the exponential distribution is commonly used due to its *** estimating the parameter of the exponential distribution,classical estimators including maximum likelihood estimator represent the most commonly used method and are well known to be ***,the maximum likelihood estimator is highly sensitive in the presence of contamination or *** this study,a robust and efficient estimator of the exponential distribution parameter was proposed based on the probability integral transform *** examine the robustness of this new estimator,asymptotic variance,breakdown point,and gross error sensitivity were *** new estimator offers reasonable protection against outliers besides being simple to ***,a simulation study was conducted to compare the performance of this new estimator with the maximum likelihood estimator,weighted likelihood estimator,and M-scale estimator in the presence of ***,a statistical analysis of three reliability data sets was conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed estimator.

Excitonics,an alternative to romising for processing information since semiconductor electronics is rapidly approaching the end of Moore’s ***,the development of excitonic devices,where exciton flow is controlled,is mainly focused on electric-field modulation or exciton polaritons in high-Q ***,we show an alloptical strategy to manipulate the exciton flow in a binary colloidal quantum well complex through mediation of the Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET)by stimulated *** the spontaneous emission regime,FRET naturally occurs between a donor and an *** contrast,upon stronger excitation,the ultrafast consumption of excitons by stimulated emission effectively engineers the excitonic flow from the donors to the ***,the acceptors’stimulated emission significantly accelerates the exciton flow,while the donors’stimulated emission almost stops this *** this basis,a FRET-coupled rate equation model is derived to understand the controllable exciton flow using the density of the excited donors and the unexcited *** results will provide an effective alloptical route for realizing excitonic devices under room temperature operation.
