Mg_(1-X)Cu_XFe_2O_4 type spinel ferrite was prepared by solid reaction method in order to discuss the heat generation ability in AC magnetic *** cubic type ferrite structure was obtained for X=0-0.6 samples calcined at 1200℃,and the mixture phase of cubic and tetragonal structures were obtained for X=0.7,0.8 samples from XRD result. The highest lattice parameter and highest hysteresis loss value were also shown at X=0.6 sample,the crystal distortion was increased with increase the Cu^(2+)substitution in cubic type ferrite *** sized nano Mg_(0.4)Cu_(0.6)Fe_2O_4 powder was prepared by physical milling method using beads *** highest heat generation in the AC magnetic field was obtained for the 6 h milled samples using 0.1mm *** Cu^(2+)substitution for MgFe_2O_4 ferrite and the beads milling were very effective for the improvement of their heat generation ability in AC magnetic field.

AIM:To assess the diagnostic ability of endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS)for evaluating causes of dista biliary strictures shown on endoscopic retrograde chol angiopancreatography(ERCP)or magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography(MRCP),even without iden tifiable mass on computed tomography(CT). METHODS:The diagnostic ability of EUS was retro spectively analyzed and compared with that of routine cytology(RC)and tumor markers in 34 patients with distal biliary strictures detected by ERCP or MRCP a Dokkyo Medical School Hospital from December 2005 to December 2008,without any adjacent mass or ec centric thickening of the bile duct on CT that could cause biliary *** considered as benign strictures on EUS included preservation of the normasonographic layers of the bile duct wall,irrespective of the presence of a mass *** strictures were considered *** diagnosis of underlying diseases was made by pathological examination in 18 cases after surgical removal of the samples,and by clinical follow-up for>10 mo in 16 cases. RESULTS:Seventeen patients(50%)were finally di- agnosed with benign conditions,including 6"normal" subjects,while 17 patients(50%)were diagnosed with malignant *** terms of diagnostic ability,EUS showed 94.1%sensitivity,82.3%specificity,84.2% positive predictive value,93.3%negative predictive value(NPV)and 88.2%accuracy for identifying ma- lignant and benign *** was more sensi- tive than RC(94.1%vs 62.5%,P=0.039).NPV was also better for EUS than for RC(93.3%vs 57.5%,P= 0.035).In addition,EUS provided significantly higher sensitivity than tumor markers using 100 U/mL as the cutoff level of carbohydrate antigen 19-9(94.1%vs 53%,P=0.017).On EUS,biliary stricture that was fi- nally diagnosed as malignant showed as a hypoechoic, irregular mass,with obstruction of the biliary duct and invasion to surrounding tissues. The Francevillian Group in Gabonese Republic was recently established as a typical sedimentary sequence for the ***,its age is rather poorly constrained,mainly based on Rb-Sr and Nd-Sm *** study reports new zircon data obtained from Chaillu massif and N＇goutou complex,which constrain the protolith age of the basement orthogneisses and the igneous age of an intrusive granite,*** zircons from the orthogneisses are blue and exhibit oscillatory zoning in cathode-luminescence *** with lower common lead abundances tend to be distributed close to the concordia *** age clusters around 2860 Ma and 2910 Ma are found in zircons plotted on the concordia *** on the Th/U ratios of zircons,these ages correspond to the protolith ages of the orthogneisses,and the zircons are not metamorphic in *** and granites were collected from the N＇goutou complex that intrudes into the FA and FB units of the Francevillian *** granitoids exhibit chemical composition of A-type granite *** of zircons separated from the granite are non-luminous,and the remaining half exhibit obscure internal textures under cathode-luminescence *** zircon grains contain significant amounts of common lead;the lead isotopic variability is probably attributed to the mixing of two components in the *** zircon radiogenic ^（207）Pb/^（206）Pb ratio is 0.13707 ± *** to a ^（207）Pb/^（206）Pb age of 2191 ± 13 *** constrains the minimum depositional age of the FA and FB ***,the FB unit consists of manganese-rich carbonate rocks and organic carbon-rich black shales with macroscopic *** on our age constraints,these organisms appeared in the study area just after the last Paleoproterozoic Snowball Earth event,in concert with global scale oxidation event encompassing the Snowball Earth.

AIM To unravel relationships between gastrointestinal(GI)symptoms impairing quality of life(QOL)and clinical profiles of diabetes mellitus(DM)patients. METHODS We enrolled 134 outpatients with type 2 *** age was 64.7 years,mean body mass index was 24.7 RESULTS Lower abdominal symptoms were found to be more frequent than those affecting the upper *** duration and medications showed associations with GI *** identified differences in peak prevalences of the five ***(P=0.02vs 10-14 years)and total GI symptoms(P=0.01 and P=0.02 vs 5-9 years and 10-14 years,respectively)peaked at a diabetes duration of 15-19 ***(P=0.004)and postprandial fullness(P=0.03)tended to increase with disease *** and diarrhea showed bimodal peaks,with the first early and the second late(e.g.,P=0.03 at 15-19 years vs 10-14years for diarrhea)in the disease ***,GI symptoms showed clustering that reflected the region of the GI tract affected,i.e.,constipation and diarrhea had similar frequencies(P<0.0001). CONCLUSION Our study highlights the importance of questioning patients about QOL impairment due to abdominal symptoms,especially in the early and the late periods of diabetes.

In the brain, the oxygen demand changes time-by-time and space-by-space, so that the regional blood flow may be regulated to maintain blood flow toward other regions. For a good understanding of the cerebral flow regulation, it is quite important to make direct observation of the microcirculation in the cerebral tissue. In this manuscript the authors have studied interprofessional work model for dementia care in hospitals for community-based care. As present situations and problems of dementia patients in hospitals for community-based care, 8 core categories (19 categories) were extracted and as actual situations of interprofessional work for dementia care, 8 core categories (13 categories) were obtained. The authors examined a function of interprofessional work model and practice contents using these categories. The results revealed that better interprofessional work can be expected by six specialists of nurses rehabilitation specialists, MSW, pharmacists, dietitians and care workers developing dementia care based on “Family handling function” “ADL maintenance and improved function” “Staff member education and empowerment function”.

BACKGROUND: Mental disorders are often a cause of long-term sickness absence (LTSA). Kessler 6 (K6) and the Brief Job Stress Questionnaire (BJSQ) are short mental health assessment questionnaires and widely used for assessing mental health in the workplace. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the screening performance of these tools for the prediction of LTSA due to mental disorders (LTSA-MD). METHODS: K6 and BJSQ were administered to 19,321 public servants, of whom 131 took LTSA-MD during the study period. A receiver operating characteristic curve was drawn to estimate the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, and specificity with optimal cut-off points for K6 and four BJSQ subscales (Job Stressors;Stress Responses;Social Support;and Job Stressors + Social Support). RESULTS: K6 showed the highest AUC, and K6 and the Stress Responses subscale of the BJSQ showed higher AUC and sensitivity than other BJSQ subscales. CONCLUSIONS: The psychological distress experienced at the time, i.e. K6 and the Stress Responses, was the best predictors of LTSA-MD. Using these instant effective tools will enable us to identify high-risk workers, employ suitable interventions to improve mental health at an early stage, and reduce the incidence of LTSA-MD.
