A practical method for evaluating the three-dimensional（3D） position and velocity of a moving object used in the parabolic flight experiment is developed by using the binocular stereo vision measurement theory. The camera calibration mathematic model without considering the lens distortion is *** direct linear transformation（DLT） algorithm is improved to accomplish the camera *** camera calibration result and optimization algorithm are used to calculate the object＇s world coordinate from image *** 3D position and the velocity of the moving object are *** standard uncertainty in estimating the velocity is 0.0024 m/s,which corresponds to 1%level of the velocity of the object in the *** results show that this method is very useful for the parabolic flight experiments.

OBJECTIVE： Chronic exposure to ultraviolet （UV） radiation induces skin photoaging （premature skin aging）. UV irradiation generates reactive oxygen species （ROS）, which are shown to play a pivotal role in skin photoaging. Ayurveda is a holistic traditional medical system, and Chyawanprash is one of the most popular formulations in Ayurveda. Since maintenance of the function and appearance of skin is important, we examined whether Chyawanprash has a protective effect on skin photoaging. METHODS： To examine the effect of Chyawanprash on skin photoaging, hairless mice were administered with Chyawanprash in drinking water for 3 weeks, and then repeatedly exposed to ultraviolet light B （UVB） irradiation （225 or 450 mJ/cm2） to induce skin photoaging. To further examine the function of Chyawanprash, its effects were examined in cells cultured in vitro. Chyawanprash was added in culture medium, and examined for the effect on the growth of human keratinocytes, and for the ability to eliminate ROS which generated by paraquat （50 μmol/L） in HeLa cells. RESULTS： UVB irradiation caused symptoms such as rough skin, erythema, and edema on the skin in hairless mice, but administration of Chyawanprash relieved these symptoms. Further, Chyawanprash significantly suppressed epidermal thickening, a typical marker of skin photoaging, in mice. We then analyzed the effect of Chyawanprash in human cells in culture, and found that Chyawanprash enhanced the growth of human keratinocytes, and efficiently eliminated ROS, which are causally involved in skin photoaging, in HeLa cells. CONCLUSION： These findings suggested that Chyawanprash may have beneficial effects on slowing skin photoaging.

The techniques of evidence-based medicine (EBM) are being frequently used recently. The generally accepted theory is that if a medicine is not absorbed by the body, it will have no effect. However, the author has noticed that even when substances, including medicines, are not absorbed by the body, they can have a marked effect. In some cases, just bringing the substance close to the body can have an effect;in such cases, the efficacy of EBM for estimating the therapeutic value of medicines may be debatable. Therefore, a more accurate evaluation method should be devised. The author proposes that another group be introduced into trials. This group would include subjects who were exposed to but did not have an opportunity to absorb the medicine being tested.

Electromagnetic Waves Collected by a Dental Amalgam Filling Induced Balance Dysregulation and Dizziness over a Period Exceeding 10 Years

This case report describes a woman aged approximately 50 years who has suffered from balance dysregulation and dizziness for more than 10 years. Although the subject underwent several examinations to confirm the etiology of her symptoms, the root cause remained unknown. The symptoms were thought to be caused by electromagnetic wave hypersensitivity because the subject experienced uneasiness and dizziness when a cell phone was held close to her body. A cell phone was used to diagnose the collection of harmful electromagnetic waves, and an amalgam filling was determined to be the cause. The amalgam filling was removed under strict protection, and the subject’s symptoms completely disappeared soon after the filling was removed.

Extract of Emblica officinalis enhances the growth of human keratinocytes in culture

Objective: Keratinocytes are the predominant cell type in the epidermis and play key roles in epidermal function. Thus, identification of the compounds that regulate the growth of keratinocytes is of importance. Here we searched for such compounds from the herbs used in traditional medicine ***: Human keratinocytes were cultured in the presence or absence of the herbal extracts for 2 weeks; the effect of the extracts on cell growth was determined by staining the cells with Coomassie brilliant blue. To detect the compounds that regulate the growth of keratinocytes, the herbal extracts were subjected to high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).Results: We found that the extract of Emblica officinalis enhanced the growth of keratinocytes in ***, we fractionated the extract of E. officinalis using HPLC and identified the fractions responsible for the enhanced growth of ***: The extract of E. officinalis enhanced the growth of human keratinocytes in culture.E. officinalis contains the compounds that would be beneficial for human skin health because enhanced growth of keratinocytes would promote wound healing.

Hip Joint Pain Caused by Electromagnetic Waves Following an Operation for a Complex Humerus Fracture

Case Reports in Clinical Medicine 2018年第3期7卷 225-231页

This case report illustrates hip joint pain caused by electromagnetic waves following an operation for a complex humerus fracture. The subject was a 22-year-old woman. The patient complained of pain in her left hip joint and discomfort, particularly while walking. The subject suffered a fracture in her left upper arm in a traffic accident approximately 3 months previously. She underwent an operation wherein seven titanium bolts were used to fix the humerus. The operation was deemed successful and the prognosis of the operation was also good;however, approximately 3 months after the operation, she developed pain and discomfort in her left hip joint, particularly while walking. Symptoms were improved by covering the surgical field with aluminum foil, blocking electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves attracted by the titanium bolts may have induced pain.

Dental Treatment for Dizziness and Joint Mobility Disorder Caused by Harmful Electromagnetic Waves

With the development of an IT (Information Technology) society, the opportunity to use electronic devices, such as cell phones and personal computers, has increased. These electronic devices pro-vide many benefits to society. However, there have been a number of reports of electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) related to the use of electronic devices. The symptoms of EHS may include headaches, fatigue, tinnitus, dizziness, memory loss, irregular heartbeat, and skin trouble. Since the pathogenic mechanism of such conditions is not yet clear, further research is required. This report shows how a subject’s dizziness and joint mobility disorder, caused by electromagnetic waves emitted by electronic devices, were cured by removing an onlay from the patient’s mouth and replacing it with a gold alloy onlay. The result indicates that the subject’s symptoms were caused by EHS. Although the symptoms were improved after the dental treatment, the underlying mechanism of the symptoms and the reason why this treatment is successful remain unclear. Further research is required to clarify these issues.

We elucidate a practical method in Deep Learning called the minibatch which is very useful to avoid local minima. The mathematical structure of this method is, however, a bit obscure. We emphasize that a certain condition, which is not explicitly stated in ordinary expositions, is essential for the minibatch method. We present a comprehensive description Deep Learning for non-experts with the mathematical reinforcement.

Dental Treatment with a Gold Alloy Cast Crown for Severe Lumbago

The patient was a 41-year-old woman experiencing severe lumbago for several years. The physician-in-charge referred her for dental treatment because examination did not reveal any specific abnormality in her lower back. Prior to the treatment, the patient could barely bend forward and backward because of serious back pain. Her body flexibility and lower back pain improved when a gold alloy cast crown was placed near her feet. However, when the crown was covered with aluminum foil, it was again very difficult for her to bend her body forward and backward. These results suggested that her body reacted positively because good electromagnetic waves emitted by the crown were absorbed by the body. The alloy used to make the crown was chosen using the Bi-Digital O-Ring Test. Moreover, the shape, contact strength, and occlusion (biting condition) of the crown were also determined by the Bi-Digital O-Ring Test. After the crown was placed on her upper right first molar, her lumbago completely disappeared and did not recur for >5 years of follow-up. The effectiveness of electromagnetic waves on the condition of the body, as in this case, has not often been acknowledged in modern medicine, and the underlying mechanism remains unclear;therefore, further research is required.

Two Cases of Parkinson’s Disease for Which Dental Treatment Was Effective

The purpose of this study is to document the improvement observed in two cases of Parkinson’s disease (PD) after dental treatment. The first subject is a man in his 60s with severe Parkinson’s disease;medication has not been very effective in this case. Prior to treatment, he was unable to stand without support due to?rigidity. Just after removing as much of the dental infection as possible, he was able to walk, albeit slowly, and as a result of continuing treatment, one month later, the symptoms had significantly improved. The second subject?is a woman in her 40s, who became aware of joint stiffness seven years ago, and was later diagnosed with PD independently at three hospitals. Her main symptoms were rigidity, knee pain, and speech disorder. The dopamine medication worked well against rigidity, but the symptoms reappeared after the medication stopped working. Her condition was significantly improved just after one tooth with an apical lesion was extracted. Although the underlying mechanism has not been clarified, I hypothesize that, at least in these cases, negative signals that passed through the trigeminal nerve to the midbrain affected predominantly the dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain. Removal of the harmful signals from the oral area resulted in normalization of the substantia nigra. Further research should be promoted with dental and medical cooperation.
