Optimal consumption–investment under partial information in conditionally log-Gaussian models

Certain Merton type consumption−investment problems under partial information are reduced to the ones of full information and within the framework of a complete market ***,specializing to conditionally log−Gaussian diffusion models,concrete analysis about the optimal values and optimal strategies is performed by using analytical tools like Feynman−Kac formula,or HJB *** explicit solutions to the related forward-backward equations are also given.

＜正＞The intraoperative and postoperative complications of laparoscopic colectomy were analyzed in a consecutive personal series of 90 cases. The final histological diagnosis of these patients was adenoma of the colon in 8, carcinoma of the colon and rectum in 80, leiomyoma of the colon in 1 and Crohn’s disease in 1. The TNM staging of the carcinomas in our series was Tis in 7, T1 in 21, T2 in 12 and T3 in 30, T4 in 10 cases. Six of the 90 cases had to be converted to open surgery. This paper proposes a simple yet efective algorithm to magnify 2D/3D images with preserving discontinuities of *** algorithm is based on the partition of unity(PU)approximation,which ofers many advantages such as smooth representation,noise-robustness,and precise ***,PU encounters difculties when scaling images and maintaining boundaries within images owing to the nature of its *** overcome this problem,we propose an approximation that preserves *** is realized by dividing the local spherical support of PU into two parts along a locally detected discontinuity and by individually approximating intensities on each side of the *** algorithm is suitable for magnifying a variety of images,including scanned documents,pictures,and CT-scanned *** demonstrate the efectiveness of the proposed method,we show some experimental results for 2D/3D images.

Enhanced Surveillance for National (Handicapped) Sports Games in Wakayama, Japan 2015

Introduction: We undertook enhanced surveillance of the 2015 Kinokuni Wakayama National Sports Games (70th National Sports Games) and the Kinokuni Wakayama Handicapped Sports Games (15th National Handicapped Sports Games) held in Wakayama prefecture in 2015, for which this paper presented operational details and an evaluation. Methods: Enhanced surveillance conducted involved (Nursery) School Absenteeism Surveillance system ((N)SASSy), Prescription Surveillance, and Ambulance Transfer Surveillance from 30 August through 9 November. We evaluated those surveillances on all days including weekends, integrated the results as a daily report, and published it on the web. Results: We found no cluster or cases requiring more tracing and investigation except for suspected cases of rubella in (N)SASSy. Moreover, no moderate aberration was found for two consecutive days for the same area and symptom. Conclusion: Our experience with this enhanced surveillance presents important lessons for countermeasures by local governments for mass gatherings or politically important events.
