Introduction: Malignant gliomas refer to grade III or IV brain tumors defined according to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification. They are a heterogeneous group of pathologies and represent a serious health problem by their frequency, severity and treatment difficulties. The prognosis of malignant gliomas remains poor despite all the medical advances. Materials and Methods: It is a retrospective study included 20 cases of malignant glial tumors treated at the medical oncology department, Fattouma Bourguiba hospital in Monastir between 2012 and 2016, according to the STUPP protocol. Results: These were 12 men and 8 women with a median age of 43. Clinical signs were not very specific, dominated by intracranial hypertension and deficit signs. Imagery referred to the diagnosis of malignant gliomas in 1st intention. Surgery consisted of a macroscopically complete exeresis in (15%) cases, a partial exeresis in (50%), the rest of the patients had a stereotactic biopsy. Histology found GBM in 16 patients (80%), 2 cases of Grade III anaplastic astrocytoma (10%), 1 case of anaplastic oligodendroglioma (5%), and 1 case of Grade III anaplastic eppendymoma (5%). Yolk sac tumor (YST), which most frequently arises in the gonads as a type of germ cell tumor, is rare in children but is highly malignant. The common age group affected by yolk sac tumours is 11 to 24 years. In this study, we described a rare case of YST in terms of the clinical manifestation, imaging, and histopathology findings, diagnosis and treatment in a 12-year-old girl who was followed since birth for Fanconi-like syndrome. This is a rare clinical association that also limits chemotherapy.

We demonstrated a new type of MAX phase material, chromium titanium aluminum carbide（Cr2TiAlC2） polymer film, to generate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser（EDFL）. The film thickness was measured to be around 45 μm, which was fabricated using the embedding method with polyvinyl alcohol（PVA） polymer as hoster. The saturable absorber（SA） film demonstrates a dual-wavelength passively Q-switched EDFL which operates at 1 531 nm and 1 560.19 nm, respectively. The Q-switching pulse duration could be varied from 2.46 μs to 770 ns, while the repetition rate varied from 92.76 kHz to 106.6 kHz with an increasing input pumping range from 154 mW to 300 mW. The maximum output power and pulse energy of 15.05 mW and 141.18 nJ were obtained at the maximum input power of 300 mW, respectively.

Synovial sarcoma originating from the kidney is extremely rare. A 13-year-old girl presented with a mild left flank pain of one-week duration, with no associated history of hematuria or any other systemic symptoms. Computed tomography (CT) demonstrated a 6 × 13 × 9 cm mass in the left kidney. No soft tissue or extrarenal masses were identified. The patient received a combined of treatment with doxorubicin and ifosfamide. A radical nephrectomy was performed in the left kidney with no complications. Postoperative pathology revealed post-chemotherapy residue of monophasic spindle cell synovialosarcoma of the left kidney. She received a combined treatment with doxorubicin and ifosfamide in concomittance with external radiation therapy. The patient was re-examined 4 months after surgery. An abdominal and pulmonary CT found no recurrence or metastasis.

Image segmentation is one of the most basic tasks in computer vision and remains an initial step of many applications. In this paper, we focus on interactive image segmentation(IIS), often referred to as foreground–background separation or object extraction, guided by user interaction. We provide an overview of the IIS literature by covering more than 150 publications, especially recent works that have not been surveyed before. Moreover, we try to give a comprehensive classification of them according to different viewpoints and present a general and concise comparison of the most recent published works. Furthermore, we survey widely used datasets,evaluation metrics, and available resources in the field of IIS.

With the expansive demand for video streaming over mobile networks,it is necessary to adopt schemes that balance the need for high video quality with the available network resources when streaming or downloading the *** approaches were proposed in the literature,including Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP(DASH).In this work,we consider an approach in which we place sufficient emphasis on the constrained battery resources in mobile devices when making decisions on the quality(or bitrate)of the video to be *** is done by using a fuzzy logic controller that enhances the performance of the Fuzzy-based DASH(FDASH)*** results show that our proposed approach conserves more energy than its predecessor while maintaining similar video quality and avoiding playback interruptions.

The present study reports on population structure analysis of the marbled crab Pachygrapsus marmoratus （Fabricius, 1787） from the Tunisian coast, an appropriate location to study biogeographical processes because of the presence of a well-known discontinuous biogeographic area （the Siculo-Tunisian Strait）. Patterns of morphological and genetic variation of this highly dispersive and continuously distributed decapod species were assessed among its geographically close populations which cover almost the entire Tunisian coastline. A total of 386 specimens from nine sites were collected and examined for morphometric variability at 14 morphometric traits. The results of multivariate analyses of linear morphometric traits showed the existence of sexual dimorphism in this species by PERMANOVA （Permutational multivariate analysis of variance）. In addition, both CDA （Canonical discriminant analysis） and NPMANOVA （Non parametric MANOVA test） analyses revealed statistically significant differences among the studied locations for both sexes. Overall, the outcome of CDA analysis showed that over 87% of individuals could be assigned correctly to three regional groups in both sexes （North, Center and South）. Specifically, SIMPER （Similarity Percentages） analysis showed that carapace length, carapace width and merus length were major contributors to the morphometric separation between populations. The pattern of phenotypic variation suggested by morphometric analyses was found to be highly discordant with that suggested by the analysis of a mitochondrial marker （cytochrome oxidase I, COI）. Indeed, the results inferred from restriction fragment analysis of the COI in 180 crabs, suggested high genetic homogeneity. Very low levels of haplotype diversity （h） were found in almost all the studied populations, associated with non significant genetic distances for nearly all population comparisons. The corrosion behaviour of as-cast binary Mg–0.3 Ce,Mg–1.44 Nd,Mg–0.63 Gd and Mg–0.41 Dy(wt%)alloys was investigated in DMEM+10%FBS solution using electrochemical and weight loss *** results revealed that the alloys with heavy RE elements(Gd and Dy)exhibited the lowest corrosion rate compared to the alloys with light RE elements(Ce and Nd).The cytocompatibility of the Mg–RE alloys was assessed via live/dead straining after 3 and 7 *** results show that Mg–0.63 Gd alloy is a suitable candidate for biomedical applications.
