In recent times,Internet of Things(IoT)and Cloud Computing(CC)paradigms are commonly employed in different healthcare *** gadgets generate huge volumes of patient data in healthcare domain,which can be examined on cloud over the available storage and computation resources in mobile *** Kidney Disease(CKD)is one of the deadliest diseases that has high mortality rate across the *** current research work presents a novel IoT and cloud-based CKD diagnosis model called Flower Pollination Algorithm(FPA)-based Deep Neural Network(DNN)model abbreviated as *** steps involved in the presented FPA-DNN model are data collection,preprocessing,Feature Selection(FS),and ***,the IoT gadgets are utilized in the collection of a patient’s health *** proposed FPA-DNN model deploys Oppositional Crow Search(OCS)algorithm for FS,which selects the optimal subset of features from the preprocessed *** application of FPA helps in tuning the DNN parameters for better classification *** simulation analysis of the proposed FPA-DNN model was performed against the benchmark CKD *** results were examined under different *** simulation outcomes established the superior performance of FPA-DNN technique by achieving the highest sensitivity of 98.80%,specificity of 98.66%,accuracy of 98.75%,F-score of 99%,and kappa of 97.33%.

Performance Analysis of Low Head Hydraulic Air Compressor

Hydraulic Air Compressor (HAC) is a device which converts hydraulic energy to energy of compressed air. A better exploitation of this hydraulic resource is currently investigated. The aim of the current work is to analyze a low head open type HAC in terms of compression ratio and HAC efficiency. The performance of HAC is both experimentally and theoretically investigated for various air admission system parameters (air tube length and diameter), downcomer length and hydraulic head. The results are both presented and discussed. Variation of the mean diameter of air bubbles in the downward flow in the downcomer is both determined and investigated. The losses in the whole system are classified, investigated and its impact on HAC is discussed.

Fat Re-Grafting in Facial Asymmetry: A 2-Case Report

Fat redistribution through recycling of previously grafted fat hasn’t been reported. Two facial asymmetry patients are presented with history of fat grafting to the mandibular angle areas. Collected fat from these formerly fat grafted zones and swollen on subsequent extra body weight gain has been re-grafted in the temporal regions for contour enhancement and has retained volume as photographically documented up to 30 months.

The Use of Ultrasound to Detect Sub-surface Defects in Aluminum Pieces

A normal ultrasonic transducer of 5 MHz is modified using different delay lines and wedges design （made from Perspex）. Such modification is for ameliorate the capability of the transducer to detect sub-surface flaws. Some prepared Aluminum pieces were subjected to different crosshead speed （200 and 350 ram/rain）. The ultrasonic pulse echo method was used at room temperature. The measurements have been done before and after each tensile stress. Flaws were found at different distances from the specimen＇s surface. Results showed that such delay lines and wedges were suitable to detect sub-surface flaws that were initiated under the effect of stress. In addition, a crosshead speed increment caused more sub-surface flaws formation.

Sensorless Control of Switched Reluctance Motor Drive Systems

This paper presents a sliding mode observer for sensorless operation of SRM （switched reluctance motor） drive. Design of such an observer depends mainly on the nonlinear model of SRM. In this technique, neither extra hardware nor huge memory space are not required but it only requires active phase measurements. Furthermore, PI （proportional integral） and adaptive FLPI （fuzzy logic PI） controllers are suggested to operate individually along with the SMO （sliding mode observer） to cover a full speed range of sensorless controller. Both controller schemes operate in PWM （pulse width modulation） control mode. The proposed observer is implemented and tested using a digital signal processor. All results obtained with both simulation and experimental investigations corroborate the superior performance of the adaptive fuzzy logic controller （FLPI） when compared with those of PI controller.

Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Activity of Schiff Base (E)-N-(4-(2-Hydroxybenzylideneamino) Phenylsulfonyl) Acetamide Metal Complexes

New series of Ag, Cd(II), Ce(III), Co(II), Cr(III), Fe(III), Ni(II) and Pb(II) complexes with (E)-N-(4-(2- hydroxybenzylideneamino) phenylsulfonyl) {S.S} have been synthesized. These compounds have been characterized by different physico-chemical techniques like, melting point, elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV spectroscopy, 1H NMR spectroscopy, conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility and mass spectral analysis. The metal ions concentrations have been determined using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Spectroscopic studies suggest coordination most of complexes in a regular octahedral arrangement in 2L:1M molar ratio by two N azomethine and two OH phenolic from Schiff base {S.S} in the form of [ML2(H2O)2], M metal, L ligand {S.S}. Complexes have been screened for their antibacterial {Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa)}, {Gram positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis and Sterptococcus pneumoniae)} and antifungal (Aspergillus fumigates and Candida albicans) showing promising antimicrobial biological activity.

DNA damage in hemocytes of Schistocerca gregaria (Orthoptera: Acrididae) exposed to contaminated food with cadmium and lead

We measured in a comet assay the damage of DNA in the hemocytes of various stages of the grasshopper Schistocerca gregaria after ex-posing them to various doses of Cd and Pb in the food. The mechanisms of Cd and Pb toxicity for grasshopper are discussed. The accumula-tion of heavy metals and stage of the insect may play important roles in causing the DNA damage. S. gregaria may be considered a valuable bio-indicator for evaluation the genotoxicity of en-vironmental pollutants.

Heat shock proteins development in different stages of schistocerca gregaria as response to heavy metals intoxication

The induction of heat shock proteins in different stages of S. gergaria exposed to long and short term contamination with heavy metals, Cd and Pb in food was determined, revealing a prominent variable effect in response to the term of exposure and the type of contamination. HSP 70 was specially quantified and characterized to reveal the probability of using HSP as a biomarker for pollution.

Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging and micro-RNA in the diagnosis of hepatic fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C virus

BACKGROUND Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging has shown promise in the detection and quantification of hepatic fibrosis. In addition, the liver has numerous endogenous micro-RNAs(miRs) that play important roles in the regulation of biological processes such as cell proliferation and hepatic *** To assess diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging and miRs in diagnosing and staging hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis *** This prospective study included 208 patients and 82 age-and sex-matched controls who underwent diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging of the abdomen, miR profiling, and liver biopsy. Pathological scoring was classified according to the METAVIR scoring system. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and miR were calculated and correlated with pathological *** The ADC value decreased significantly with the progression of fibrosis, from controls(F0) to patients with early fibrosis(F1 and F2) to those with late fibrosis(F3 and F4)(median 1.92, 1.53, and 1.25 × 10^(-3) mm^2/s, respectively)(P = 0.001).The cut-off ADC value used to differentiate patients from controls was 1.83 × 10^(-3) mm^2/s with an area under the curve(AUC) of 0.992. Combining ADC and miR-200 b revealed the highest AUC(0.995) for differentiating patients from controls with an accuracy of 96.9%. The cut-off ADC used to differentiate early fibrosis from late fibrosis was 1.54 × 10^(-3) mm^2/s with an AUC of 0.866. The combination of ADC and miR-200 b revealed the best AUC(0.925) for differentiating early fibrosis from late fibrosis with an accuracy of 80.2%. The ADC correlated with miR-200 b(r =-0.61, P = 0.001), miR-21(r =-0.62, P = 0.001), and miR-29(r = 0.52,P = 0.001).CONCLUSION Combining ADC and miRs offers an alternative surrogate non-invasive diagnostic tool for diagnosing and staging hepatic fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C.
