Searching the global optimal value in heat exchanger network synthesis (HENS) becomes more difficult along with the increasing scale of *** structural opitimization model,such as stage-wise superstructure,solution domain can be enlarged by adding the stages of network,which would involve multiple integer and continuous variables in optimization and result in a decreasing computational ***,a new nodes-based model with stream splits is proposed,which can promote the quality of result and decrease time consumption at the same *** characteristic of this model is that it changes the matching mode of heat exchangers by setting the number of nodes on streams to quantify the positions of heat *** proposed nodes-based model has more flexibility in generating and eliminating the heat exchangers and strong ductility in exploring the solution *** random walk with compulsive evolution is modified for enhancing its searching ability and applying modified random walk algorithm with compulsive evolution (RWCE) into the new proposed *** obtained results of Case 1,Case 2 and Case 3 are superior to those reported in the literature,which decreases 106 USD·a-1,1253 USD·a-1,23 444 USD·a-1,respectively,verifying the robust effectiveness of this new model in solving HENS problem.

This study aimed to develop and evaluate the performance of a service system platform based on the Internet of Things(IoT)for monitoring nutritional deficiencies in plants and providing fertilizer *** are two distinct differences between this work and previous ones;namely,this service system platform has been developed based on IoT using a system engineering approach and its performance has been evaluated using *** have successfully developed and integrated a service system platform and chlorophyll meter that is based on *** have also successfully tested the performance of the service system platform using the JMeter *** dependability value measured from the five tested variables(reliability,availability,integrity,maintainability,and safety)showed a value of 0.97 which represents a very good level of system confidence in not failing to deliver services to users under normal operational *** a future perspective,this platform can be used as an alternative service to monitor nutrient deficiencies in plants and provide fertilization recommendations to increase yields,reduce fertilizer costs,and prevent the use of excessive fertilizers,which can cause environmental pollution.

The researches on solid electrolyte have been significantly increasing due to the safety problem in lithium ion *** lithium phosphates are chosen due to environmentally *** the present study Li4P2O7was synthesized by solid state reaction using NH4H2PO4and Li2CO3with the ratio 1:2 at various temperatures of600 ℃,800 ℃ and 900℃.The products were characterized by x-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and impedance *** x-ray diffraction showed that all samples consisted of two *** was found that the products consisted of 52.44% Li4P2O7and 47.56% LiPO3;93.56% Li4P2O7and 6.44% Li3PO4;and46.27% Li4P2O7and 53.67% Li3PO4under the synthesizing temperature of 600 ℃,800℃ and 900 ℃,*** highest ionic conductivity of 3.85 ×10-5S/m was achieved for composite Li4P2O7-Li3PO4with the highest content of 93.56% *** conductivity is higher compared with single phase of LiPO3,Li3PO4and *** increase in ionic conductivity may be due to the mixed anion effects related to the phosphate networks,and it also corresponds to the existence of anorthic phase Li4P2O7with the space group P-1（2）.The crystal lattice analysis showed that the reactant Li4P2O7consisted of diphosphate groups *** lithium tetrahedral LiO4were linked to P2O7groups formed a continuous framework containing large voids,available for Li+ion transport,and thus it exhibited high conductivity.A composite Li4P2O7-Li3PO4is a promising solid electrolyte for solid state battery.

We used OCO-2 products and considered three factors that potentially affect CO_(2) concentration in Indonesia:sea surface temperature(SST),forest fires and *** 2014 to 2016,CO_(2) concentration in Indonesia showed a trend of increase,which is consistent with the global increase reported by the Greenhouse Gases Observing Satellite(GOSAT)*** an archipelago country,the results indicate that SST has a direct effect on the CO_(2) concentration in *** changing exhibits similar fluctuations;meanwhile,CO_(2) concentration and SST also presented positive *** 2015,the number of fire hotspots suddenly increased to 140,699,because of occurrence of the worst forest *** to special geographic conditions,forest fires did not induce CO_(2) concentration changes in Indonesia,but CO_(2) concentration in the corresponding islands showed a trend of ***_(2) concentration increased in Kalimantan during the occurrence of forest fire in September–October 2014,and CO_(2) concentration increased in Kalimantan and Sumatra during the occurrence of forest fire in September–October *** indices were stable and presented no correlation with CO_(2) *** study demonstrated that OCO-2 is capable of monitoring CO_(2) concentration at a regional scale;additionally,an effective method for using OCO-2 Level 2 products is proposed.

This paper is aimed at introducing our research result in the efficiencyin removing nitrous oxide gas (N_2O) by using compost as a medium filter,which is actually a kind of manure derived from cow faeces at KukusanKelurahan farm conlaing wood chips and some other microorganisms. Practicallyspeaking, N_2O is a major greenhouse gas, whose continuous presence in theatmosphere is expected to last over a 100 years and produce its radiative warmingeffect just next to CO_2. In spite of its rather small concentration in the atmosphere,it is the Number Four largest greenhouse gas contributor to the overallglobal warming, behind carbon dioxide, methane and water vapour. Thebiofiltration experiments we have conducted to explore its removing rate of N_2Ofrom flue gas help us to find various operating factors in the biofilter system. Sofar as we know, N_2O gas has been fed from the top of the column. It was flowingthrough the column when it is made to get circulated with a peristaltic pumpfor 6 hours. The data obtained in our paper prove to be in conformity with theLangmuir adsorption model. The highest N_2O gas removing efficiency can bemade to be as high as 70.22% at the highest biofilter length of 50 cm with thegas flowing rate of 200 mL/min. The results of this research have finally beenmodeled by the Langmuir adsorption isotherm formula with its K value obtainedbeing 16.949 L/mol.

A natural polymer composite is the main choice to replace composites from petroleum derivatives. A composite is formed in two or more phases （i.e., organic and inorganic phases）. A composite that has specified energy band gap, electrical conductivity, and tensile strength can be used as semiconductor material. The objective of this research was to study the effect of production methods, concentration and type of metal oxide filler （TiO2, A1203, Fe203, and ZnO） on structure, energy band gap, and electrical conductivity of composites. Composites were prepared using a melt intercalation process with tapioca as a matrix and addition of 1%, 3%, 5o and 7% filler concentrations, and sonication processing time in interval of 40, 50, and 60 min. Structure and morphology of the composite were analyzed using FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and TEM. UV-vis was used to measure the energy band gap while electrical conductivity was measured using a potentiostat through determination of resistivity. In addition, tensile strength and elongation were measured by ASTM 822-02. The energy band gap of the tapioca/metal oxide composite was between 4.9-1.62 eV. Electrical conductivity showed a percolation thresholds for concentrations of 3%-5% TiO2, A1203, and Fe203 and 7% ZnO. The tapioca/ZnO composite with 5% ZnO and 50 min of processing time showed a maximum tensile strength of 74.84 kgf/cm2, 6% elongation, 1.27 - 10^-7ohm^-1cm^-1 electrical conductivity and energy band gap of 3.27 eV. The characteristics described show that the tapioca/metal oxide composite can be used as a semiconductor material.

A Case Study on Sustainability Analysis of Fisheries in Pangandaran, West Java Province

This research was to assess the sustainability of fisheries in Pangandaran, West Java. This fishery is an important one in the region, but is threatened by increasing over-exploitation which has led to a steady decrease in the production. In addition to over-exploitation problem, a record of tsunami disaster makes this fishery a unique case. This research, based on a set of primary and secondary data was carried out using the Rapfish analytical approach. Primary data were collected using a stratified cluster random sampling technique, where as many as 186 outboard fishing operators were selected. Meanwhile, relevant complementary data were solicited purposively from five employees of Pangandaran Marine and Fisheries Service. Following from the Rapfish approach, it was found through this research that sustainability levels of fisheries in Pangandaran fall into poor category. For all types of fisheries that exist in the region, almost all sustainability dimensions namely ecological, social, technological and ethical dimensions were scored below 50 of the 100 maximum values. This paper concludes with a suggestion, pointing out attributes that should receive government attention in order that the sustainability of the fisheries in the future.
