Objective:To compare the sensitivity and specificity of direct fecal smear microscopy,culture,and polymerase chain reaction in the detection of Blastocystis *** human ***:Human stool samples were collected from a community in San Isidro,Rodriguez,Rizal,*** samples were subjected to direct fecal smear microscopy,culture and polymerase chain reaction to detect the presence of Blastocystis ***:Of the 110 stool samples collected,28(25%)were detected positive for the presence of Blastocystis *** two or more *** method detected the highest number of Blastocystis-positive stool samples(n=36),followed by PCR of DNA extracted from culture(n=26),PCR of DNA extracted from stool(n=10),and direct fecal smear(n=9).Compared to culture,the sensitivity of the other detection methods were 66.7%for PCR from culture and 19.4%for both PCR from stool and direct fecal *** of the methods was high,with PCR from culture and direct fecal smear having97.3%,while PCR from stool at 95.9%.Conclusions:In this study,in vitro culture is the best method for detecting Blastocystis *** human stool samples.

Appropriate interaction between pantograph and catenary is imperative for smooth operation of electric *** heights of overhead lines to accommodate level crossings,overbridges,and tunnels pose significant challenges in maintaining consistent current collection performance as the pantograph aerodynamic profile,and thus aerodynamic load changes significantly with operational *** research aims to analyse the global flow characteristics and aerodynamic forces acting on individual components of an HSX pantograph operating in different configurations and orientations,such that the results can be combined with multibody simulations to obtain accurate dynamic insight into contact ***,computational fluid dynamics simulations are used to investigate the pantograph component loads in a representative setting,such as that of the recessed cavity on a Class 800 *** an aerodynamic perspective,this study indicates that the total drag force acting on non-fixed components of the pantograph is larger for the knuckle-leading orientation rather than the knuckle-trailing,although the difference between the two is found to reduce with increasing pantograph *** the aerodynamic loads acting on individual components with multibody tools allows for realistic dynamic insight into the pantograph *** results obtained show how considering aerodynamic forces enhance the realism of the models,leading to behaviour of the pantograph-catenary contact forces closely matching that seen in experimental tests.

Objective:To determine the profdes of anti-Entamoeba histolytica(***) ***. and IgM in sera of diarrheic and non-diarrheic individuals and partially characterize target ***:Serum samples from thirty diarrheic and thirty non-diarrheic individuals were subjected to IgA,IgG,and IgM profiling through enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (***),flow cytometry,and ***:ELBA titer results showed that both diarrheic and non-diarrheic individuals possess high levels of ***-specific IgG compared to IgA and *** cytometry data showed that diarrheic serum samples had higher mean reaction percentages against *** cells compared to non-diarrheic *** *** proteins with molecular weights ranging belween 7 kDa and 292 kDa were recognized by diarrheic serum IgG,and 170 kDa and 250 kDa by non-diarrheic serum IgG. Conclusions:Our findings suggest that serum *** IgG,compared with serum *** IgA and IgM responses,was generally high in both diarrheic and nondiarrheic sera,indicating a past exposure to the organism both in symptomatic patients as well as in asymptomatic carriers,*** addition,serum IgG from diarrheic and non-diarrheic patients were able to detect immunogenic *** proteins.

＜正＞In this work we are going to discuss a new learning algorithm for neural networks where the length of the synapses may be modeled as a synaptic delay *** networks present the ability of learning time related events without resorting to any windowing process as would be the case in other architectures found in the ***, they may be applied to signals or any other kind of time decision related input without any type of temporal *** makes them very interesting for handling problems where it is not clear what the relevant temporal window is or where this window changes with *** other advantage these networks present is that they offer the ability of generalizing in time,that is they respond in a similar fashion to similar time related events. The algorithm developed by our group and discussed here,Discrete Time Backpropagation,is shown to be a very efficient algorithm for training both the weights and the values for the lengths of the synapses or delays in order to perform all kinds of time related decision functions,whether they be the detection of patterns in time varying signals or the prediction of future values of time series,such as chaotic series.

Ultrafast laser excitations provide an efficient and low-power consumption alternative since different magnetic properties and topological spin states can be triggered and manipulated at the femtosecond(fs)***,it is largely unknown whether laser excitations already used in data information platforms can manipulate the magnetic properties of recently discovered two-dimensional(2D)van der Waals(vdW)*** we show that ultrashort laser pulses(30−85 fs)can not only manipulate magnetic domains of 2D-XY CrCl_(3)ferromagnets,but also induce the formation and control of topological nontrivial meron and antimeron spin *** observed that these spin quasiparticles are created within~100 ps after the excitation displaying rich dynamics through motion,collision and annihilation with emission of spin waves throughout the *** findings highlight substantial opportunities of using photonic driving forces for the exploration of spin textures on 2D magnetic materials towards magneto-optical topological applications.

As system identification theory and model predictive control are belonged to two different research fields separately,so one gap exists between these two *** alleviate this gap between them,one new idea proposed in this paper is to introduce system identification theory into model predictive *** the most important element in model predictive control is the prediction of the output value for a nonlinear system,then the problem of deriving the prediction of the output value can be achieved by system identification *** specifically,a Bayesian approach is applied for the nonparametric estimation by modeling the prediction as realizations of zero mean random *** comparing this kind of prediction corresponding to this Bayesian approach and the former direct weight optimization identification for nonlinear system,the authors see that if the unknown weights are chosen appropriately,these two approaches are equivalent to each *** on the obtained prediction of the output value,the authors substitute this prediction of the output value into one cost function of model predictive control,and then a quadratic programming problem with inequality constraints is *** to solve this quadratic programming problem,a detailed process about how to derive its dual form is *** the dual problem has a simple constraint set,it is amenable to the use of the common Gauss-Seidel algorithm,whose convergence can be shown ***,one simulation example confirms the proposed theoretical results.

Computational simulation is an important tool for design and improvement of industrial *** fluid dynamics(CFD)coupled with the discrete element method(DEM)has been applied to simulate drying equipment that usually involves gas-solid *** reliable results of CFD-DEM simulations,the properties related to the interactions of the material within the industrial equipment,such as the restitution or friction coefficients,must be *** this study,CFD-DEM was applied to simulate the fluid dynamics inside a conical spouted bed operating with sorghum *** physical properties of the particulate phase and the particle-particle and particle-wall interaction parameters were determined by the direct measurement approach and applied to *** interaction parameters were experimentally determined,including the particle-particle interaction parameters ofη=0.46,μ^(S)=0.79,andμ_(R)=0.70,and the particle-wall interaction parameters ofη=0.56,μ_(S)=0.75,andμ_(R)=*** simulated minimum spouting velocity and characteristic curves were compared with the experimental *** was good agreement between the simulated and experimental results.

The flow properties of blood play significant roles in tissue perfusion by contributing to hydrodynamic resistance in blood vessels. These properties are influenced by pathophysiological processes, thereby increasing the clinical relevance of blood rheology information. There is well-established clinical evidence for impaired blood fluidity in humans of advanced age, including enhanced plasma and whole blood viscosity, impaired red blood cell (RBC) deformability and enhanced RBC aggregation. Increased plasma fibrinogen concentration is a common finding in many studies owing to the pro-inflammatory condition of aged individuals;this finding of increased fibrinogen concen-tration explains the higher plasma viscosity and RBC aggregation in elderly subjects. Enhanced oxidant stress in advanced age is also known to contribute to altered blood fluidity, with RBC deformability being an important determinant of blood viscosity. Several studies have shown that physical activity may improve the hemorheological picture in elderly subjects, yet well-designed observational and mechanistic studies are required to determine the specific effects of regular exercise on hemorheological parameters in healthy and older individuals.
