The purpose of this paper is to construct near-vector spaces using a result by Van der Walt, with Zp for p a prim., as the underlying near-field. There are two notions of near-vector spaces, we focus on those studied by André [1]. These near-vector spaces have recently proven to be very useful in finite linear gam.s. We will discuss the construction and properties, give exam.les of these near-vector spaces and give its application in finite linear gam.s.

Harnessing the frequency dim.nsion in integrated photonics offers key advantages in term. of scalability, noise resilience, parallelization, and com.atibility with telecom.m.ltiplexing *** ring resonators have been used to generate frequency-entangled states through spontaneous four-wave m.xing. However, state-of-the-art integrated resonators are lim.ted by trade-offs am.ng size,spectral separation, and efficient photon pair generation. We have developed silicon ring resonators with a footprint below 0.05 m.2providing m.re than 70 frequency channels separated by 21 GHz. We exploit the narrow frequency separation to parallelize and independently control 34 single qubit-gates with a single set of three off-the-shelf electro-optic devices. We fully characterize 17 frequency-bin m.xim.lly entangled qubit pairs by perform.ng quantum.state tom.graphy. We dem.nstrate for the first tim., we believe, a fully connected five-user quantum.network in the frequency dom.in. These results are a step towards a generation of quantum.circuits im.lem.nted with scalable silicon photonics technology, for applications in quantum.com.uting and secure com.unications.

m.irésuperlattices,arising from.the controlled twisting of van der Waals hom.structures at specific angles,have em.rged as a prom.sing platform.for quantum.em.ssion ***,the m.nipulation of strain provides a versatile strategy to finely adjust electronic band structures,enhance exciton lum.nescence efficiency,and establish a robust foundation for two-dim.nsional quantum.light ***,the intricate interplay between strain and m.irépotential rem.ins partially ***,we introduce a m.ticulously designed fusion of strain engineering and the twisted 2L-WSe_(2)/2L-WSe_(2) hom.bilayers,resulting in the precise localization of m.iré*** low-tem.erature photolum.nescence spectroscopy,we unveil the em.rgence of highly localized m.iré-enhanced em.ssion,characterized by the presence of m.ltiple distinct em.ssion ***,our investigation dem.nstrates the effective regulation of m.irépotential depths through strain engineering,with the potential depths of strained and unstrained regions differing by 91%.By com.ining both experim.ntal and theoretical approaches,our study elucidates the com.lex relationship between strain and m.irépotential,thereby opening avenues for generating strain-induced m.iréexciton single-photon sources.

The goal of this study is to exam.ne the energetic,entransy,and exergetic m.thodologies em.loyed to estim.te the ideal insulation thickness for construction walls in term. of cost and ecological *** achieve these goals,the life cycle cost analysis-based insulating thicknesses of the various m.thods are evaluated along with the overall costs,yearly cost reductions,and total *** fuel consum.tion,CO_(2) em.ssions,and ecological effects are then com.ared using an environm.ntal analysis based on the three *** savings of hollow concrete brick(HCB),com.ressed stabilized earth brick(CSEB),and sundried earth brick(SEB)walls are evaluated along with the insulation thicknesses in term. of cost and ecological *** a result,it is determ.ned that the exergetic technique is better suited for optim.zing insulating *** CSEB,SEB,and HCB walls,the econom.c ideal insulation thicknesses are 0.01 m.0.016 m.and 0.02 m.with yearly financial savings of 5$⋅m.(-2),7.5$⋅m.(-2),and 9$⋅m.(-2).For CSEB,SEB,and HCB walls,accordingly,the ecological optim.l insulation thicknesses are 0.023 m.0.032 m.and 0.040 m.with net savings of exergetic ecological im.act equal to 59 m.ts⋅m.(-2),55 m.ts⋅m.(-2),and 51 m.ts⋅m.(-2).

In this study, we prove the of existence of solutions of a convolution Volterra integral equation in the space of the Lebesgue integrable function on the set of positive real num.ers and with the standard norm.defined on it. An operator P was assigned to the convolution integral operator which was later expressed in term. of the superposition operator and the nonlinear operator. Given a ball Br belonging to the space L it was established that the operator P m.ps the ball into itself. The Hausdorff m.asure of noncom.actness was then applied by first proving that given a set m. B r the set is bounded, closed, convex and nondecreasing. Finally, the Darbo fixed point theorem.was applied on the m.asure obtained from.the set E belonging to m. From.this application, it was observed that the conditions for the Darbo fixed point theorem.was satisfied. This indicated the presence of at least a fixed point for the integral equation which thereby im.lying the existence of solutions for the integral equation.

Influence of Chicken m.nure am.ndm.nt on the therm.l properties of selected Benchm.rk soils in Zam.ia was investigated in the laboratory under soil colum. experim.nts. Five benchm.rk soils were exerted to four chicken m.nure am.ndm.nt rates of 0% (control), 2%, 4% and 6% on a weight basis. Soil tem.erature profiles were m.nitored in soil colum.s exerted to artificial heat source and generated data was used to com.ute the therm.l properties of the soils. The effect of m.nure application on the soil therm.l properties was strongly related to soil type and application rate. Significant differences (p ?3·c?1 (m.shem. series) to 8.62 m.·m.3·c?1 (m.keni series) and attributed to differences in soil characteristics. Therm.l diffusivity varied from.0.028 m.·s?1 (m.keni series) to 0.069 m.·s?1 (m.shem. series) a reverse trend to therm.l conductivity. A sim.lar trend was observed with dam.ing depth however therm.l conductivity was not significantly different am.ng the benchm.rk soils. The studied soils showed significant differences (p λ), therm.l diffusivity (Dh) and dam.ing depth (d) decreased while volum.tric heat capacity (Cv) increased with increased chicken m.nure addition. The differences in these therm.l properties were attributed to differences in soil properties. These results suggest that chicken m.nure application can be an im.ortant intervention in regulation of the therm.l properties of the soil and consequently the therm.l regim. of the soil.
