Dear Editor,Despite the improved outcome of advanced estrogen receptor-positive(ER+)breast cancer patients treated with endocrine therapy in combination with either a cyclindependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor(CDK4/6i)or a phosphoinositide 3-kinase inhibitor(PI3Ki),the disease will eventually progress,and the optimal treatment strategy upon progression remains undefined[1-4].To address this,we developed MCF-7-and T47D-derived PIK3CAmutated breast cancer cell lines[5]resistant to combined CDK4/6i palbociclib and fulvestrant(MPF-R and TPFR)or combined PI3Ki alpelisib and fulvestrant(MAF-R and TAF-R),respectively(Supplementary Materials and Methods).Drug-sensitive isogenic cells(M-S and T-S)grown in parallel with MPF-R and TPF-R cells and the original MCF-7/S0.5 and T47D cells were analyzed for comparison.

We examine when a meromorphic quadratic differential φ with prescribed poles is the Schwarzian derivative of a rational map. We give a necessary and sufficient condition: In the Laurent series of φ around each pole c, the most singular term should take the form(1- d2)/(2(z- c)2), where d is an integer, and then a certain determinant in the next d coefficients should vanish. This condition can be optimized by neglecting some information on one of the poles(i.e., by only requiring it to be a double pole). The case d = 2 was treated by Eremenko(2012). We show that a geometric interpretation of our condition is that the complex projective structure induced by φ outside the poles has a trivial holonomy group. This statement was suggested to us by Thurston in a private communication. Our work is related to the problem of finding a rational map f with a prescribed set of critical points, since the critical points of f are precisely the poles of its Schwarzian ***, we study the pole-dependency of these Schwarzian derivatives. We show that, in the cubic case with simple critical points, an analytic dependency fails precisely when the poles are displaced at the vertices of a regular ideal tetrahedron of the hyperbolic 3-ball.

In this paper, a non-cooperative distributed MPC algorithm based on reduced order model is proposed to stabilize large-scale systems. The large-scale system consists of a group of interconnected subsystems. Each subsystem can be partitioned into two parts： measurable part, whose states can be directly measured by sensors, and the unmeasurable part. In the online computation phase, only the measurable dynamics of the corresponding subsystem and neighbour-to-neighbour communication are necessary for the local controller design. Satisfaction of the state constraints and the practical stability are guaranteed while the complexity of the optimization problem is reduced. Numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of this algorithm.

The implementation of image-based phenotyping systems has become an important aspect of crop and plant science research which has shown tremendous growth over the years. Accurate determination of features using images requires stable imaging and very precise processing. by installing a camera on a mechanical arm driven by motor, the maintenance of accuracy and stability becomes non-trivial. As per the state-of-the-art, the issue of external camera shake incurred due to vibration is a great concern in capturing accurate images, which may be induced by the driving motor of the manipulator. So, there is a requirement for a stable active controller for sufficient vibration attenuation of the manipulator. However, there are very few reports in agricultural practices which use control algorithms. Although, many control strategies have been utilized to control the vibration in manipulators associated to various applications, no control strategy with validated stability has been provided to control the vibration in such envisioned agricultural manipulator with simple low-cost hardware devices with the compensation of non-linearities. So, in this work, the combination of proportional-integral-differential(PID) control with type-2 fuzzy logic(T2-F-PID) is implemented for vibration control. The validation of the controller stability using Lyapunov analysis is established. A torsional actuator(TA) is applied for mitigating torsional vibration, which is a new contribution in the area of agricultural manipulators. Also, to prove the effectiveness of the controller, the vibration attenuation results with T2-F-PID is compared with conventional PD/PID controllers, and a type-1 fuzzy PID(T1-F-PID) controller.

The predatory bug,Orius majusculus(Reuter),is an important predator of thrips commercially produced for augmentative releases using the eggs of the Mediterranea n flour moth Ephestia kuehniella(Zeller).In this study,we assessed the potential for using frozen adults of fruit flies,Drosophila melanogaster(Meigen),either as nymphal rearing diet or as diet throughout the entire *** compared life-hi story traits and reproduction of predators when fed *** with high lipid body content(lipid-rich)and with high protein body content(protein-rich),using a diet of 100%*** eggs as *** also analyzed the biochemical composition of both prey and predator in order to assess the nutritional quality of each diet,which partially explained the adequacy of the different diets for *** were significant differences between predators fed the two types of ***,with the protein-rich flies as diet providing the best results in terms of mortality and ***,we show that while feeding *** throughout their development with *** increases mortality and reduces reproduction,protein-rich *** can be used as nymphal diet with minimal reduction in reproductivity and minimal increase in mortality.

The TicS5 （Translocon at the inner envelope membrane of chloroplasts, 55 kDa） protein was identified in pea as a putative regulator, possibly linking chloroplast protein import to the redox state of the photosynthetic machinery. Two Tic55 homologs have been proposed to exist in Arabidopsis： atTic55-11 and AtPTC52 （Protochlorophyllide-dependent Trans- Iocon Component, 52 kDa; has also been called atTic55-1V）. Our phylogenetic analysis shows that attic55-11 is an ortholog of psTic55 from pea （Pisum sativurn）, and that AtPTC52 is a more distant homolog of the two. AtPTC52 was included in this study to rule out possible functional links between the proteins in Arabidopsis. No detectable mutant phenotypes were found in two independent T-DNA knockout mutant plant lines for each Arabidopsis protein, when compared with wild- type： visible appearance, chlorophyll content, photosynthetic performance, and chloroplast protein import, for example, were all normal. both wild-type and tic55-11 mutant chloroplasts exhibited deficient protein import when treated with diethylpyrocarbonate, indicating that Tic55 is not the sole target of this reagent in relation to protein import. Furthermore, ptc52 mutant chloroplasts were not defective with respect to pPORA import, which was previously reported to involve PTC52 in barley. Thus, we conclude that atTic55-11 and AtPTC52 are not strictly required for functional protein import in Arabidopsis.

background:This study was to analyze outcomes of long-gap esophageal atresia(LGEA)treated with partial gastric pull-up(PGP)into the ***:The medical records of all children who had undergone PGP for LGEA from 1999 to 2012 were *** data,initial postoperative course,complications,time to full oral nutrition,follow-up diagnostics and nutritional status were ***:Nine children who had undergone PGP were followed up for a mean period of 6.2±3.1 *** median gestational age was 37+2 weeks,and mean birth weight 2462±658 *** children were primarily treated with a gastrostomy,their mean age at PGP was 11.4+10.9 weeks and mean weight was 4484+1966 *** mean operation time was 199+51 *** was an early postoperative complication in three children,one of whom had a consecutive stricture *** complications were stenosis(n=7)and gastro-esophageal reflux(n=5).The general status of the children was judged as"good"or"very good"on the last *** median percentile of the body-mass-index was *** at 3.7±3.2 years after the operation revealed a grade I esophagitis in two *** was no death in this group of ***:because of its high complication rate,partial gastric pull-up cannot be recommended as an alternative for the treatment of LGEA at present.A final judgment could be made on the basis of a comparative study.

Probabilistic forecasting is becoming increasingly important for a wide range of applications,especially for en-ergy systems such as forecasting wind power production.A need for proper evaluation of probabilistic forecasts follows naturally with this,because evaluation is the key to improving the *** plenty of excellent reviews and research papers on probabilistic forecast evaluation already exist,we find that there is a need for an introduction with some practical *** particular,many forecast scenarios in energy systems are inher-ently multivariate,and while univariate evaluation methods are well understood and documented,only limited and scattered work has been done on their multivariate *** paper therefore contains a review of a selected set of probabilistic forecast evaluation methods,primarily scoring rules,as well as practical sections that explain how these methods can be calculated and *** three case studies featuring simple autore-gressive models,stochastic differential equations and real wind power data,we implement,apply and discuss the logarithmic score,the continuous ranked probability score and the variogram score for forecasting problems of varying ***,the advantages and disadvantages of the three scoring rules are highlighted,and this provides a significant step towards deciding on an evaluation method for a given multivariate forecast scenario including forecast scenarios relevant for energy systems.

This paper proposes non-linear autoregressive models with exogenous inputs to model the air temperature ineach room of a Danish school building connected to the local district heating network. To obtain satisfactorymodels, the authors find it necessary to estimate the solar radiation effect as a function of the time of the dayusing a b-spline basis expansion. Furthermore, this paper proposes a method for estimating the valve positionof the radiator thermostats in each room using modified Hermite polynomials to ensure monotonicity of theestimated curve. The non-linearities require a modification in the estimation procedure: Some parametersare estimated in an outer optimisation, while the usual regression parameters are estimated in an inneroptimisation. The models are able to simulate the temperature 24 h ahead with a root-mean-square-errorof the predictions between 0.25℃ and 0.6℃. The models seem to capture the solar radiation gain in away aligned with expectations. The estimated thermostatic valve functions also seem to capture the importantvariations of the individual room heat inputs.
