Uterine cervical carcinoma treated with chemoradiotherapy: impact of three-month mRI follow-up on clinical management and outcome

Aim:The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of mRI performed three months after treatment on further follow-up interventions and outcome in patients with uterine cervical carcinoma treated with definitive ***:Sixty consecutive women diagnosed with uterine cervical cancer FIGO 2009 stage IB1-IVA during 2011-2012 treated with definitive chemoradiotherapy/radiotherapy with curative intent at the Department of Gynaecological Oncology at Karolinska University Hospital were retrospectively included.A review of mRI reports and medical records with focus on follow-up interventions associated to imaging was ***:On follow-up mRI three months post treatment,29/60 women had complete remission(mrCR),24/60 women had partial remission(mrPR)and 7/60 had progressive disease(mrPD).In patients with mrCR,no additional procedures were *** group with mrPR had 27 additional mRIs,3 PET/CT examinations and 9 biopsy procedures,none leading to diagnosis of residual *** control rate was 96%after 6.5 months(median).No patient had cervical relapse only;2/53 had cervical relapse in combination with non-regional lymph nodes and distant *** was no statistically significant difference in overall survival between patients with mrCR and mrPR(HR=2.2,P=0.21).Conclusion:Patients with residual changes on mRI at three months post treatment have a low risk for locoregional *** this is not recognised,follow-up mRI results in unnecessary additional procedures with low impact on treatment *** studies are needed regarding the most appropriate imaging modality and timing of post-treatment evaluation.

Impact of solar reflectivity and infrared emissivity on the thermal performance of metal and concrete roofs in cloudy warmhumid climate

Background:The mobilization and redistribution of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)specific T-cells and neutralizing antibodies(nAbs)during exercise is purported to increase immune surveillance and protect against severe coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).We sought to determine if COVID-19 vaccination would elicit exercise-responsive SARS-CoV-2 T-cells and transiently alter nAb ***:Eighteen healthy participants completed a 20-min bout of graded cycling exercise before and/or after receiving a COVID-19 *** major leukocyte subtypes were enumerated before,during,and after exercise by flow cytometry,and immune responses to SARS-CoV-2 were determined using whole blood peptide stimulation assays,T-cell receptor(TCR)-βsequencing,and SARS-CoV-2 nAb ***:COVID-19 vaccination had no effect on the mobilization or egress of major leukocyte subsets in response to intensity-controlled graded ***,non-infected participants had a significantly reduced mobilization of CD4+and CD8+naive T-cells,as well as CD4+central memory T-cells,after vaccination(synthetic immunity group);this was not seen after vaccination in those with prior SARS-CoV-2 infection(hybrid immunity group).Acute exercise after vaccination robustly mobilized SARS-CoV-2 specific T-cells to blood in an intensity-dependent *** groups mobilized T-cells that reacted to spike protein;however,only the hybrid immunity group mobilized T-cells that reacted to membrane and nucleocapsid *** increased significantly during exercise only in the hybrid immunity ***:These data indicate that acute exercise mobilizes SARS-CoV-2 specific T-cells that recognize spike protein and increases the redistribution of nAbs in individuals with hybrid immunity.

Predicting depression intensity from microblogs and social media posts has numerous benefits and applications,including predicting early psychological disorders and stress in individuals or the general public.A major challenge in predicting depression using social media posts is that the existing studies do not focus on predicting the intensity of depression in social media texts but rather only perform the binary classification of depression and moreover noisy data makes it difficult to predict the true depression in the social media *** study intends to begin by collecting relevant Tweets and generating a corpus of 210000 public tweets using Twitter public application programming interfaces(APIs).A strategy is devised to filter out only depression-related tweets by creating a list of relevant hashtags to reduce noise in the ***,an algorithm is developed to annotate the data into three depression classes:‘mild,’‘moderate,’and‘Severe,’based on International Classification of Diseases-10(ICD-10)depression diagnostic *** baseline classifiers are applied to the annotated dataset to get a preliminary idea of classification performance on the *** FastText-based model is applied and fine-tuned with different preprocessing techniques and hyperparameter tuning to produce the tuned model,which significantly increases the depression classification performance to an 84%F1 score and 90%accuracy compared to ***,a FastText-based weighted soft voting ensemble(WSVE)is proposed to boost the model’s performance by combining several other classifiers and assigning weights to individual models according to their individual *** proposed WSVE outperformed all baselines as well as FastText alone,with an F1 of 89%,5%higher than FastText alone,and an accuracy of 93%,3%higher than FastText *** proposed model better captures the contextual features of the relatively small sample class and aids in the detection of

Two rectangular-shaped lakes,Lake Hulun and Lake Buir,located at the boundary between China and mongolia,only c.75 km apart and therefore experiencing similar wind fields,have been studied based on satellite images and field surveys in order to compare their geomorphological and sedimentological *** wind-driven hydrodynamics,which have a significant effect on the development of littoral landforms and on sediment distribution,have been discussed for the two similar lakes that experienced a prevailing wind perpendicular to their long axis.A conceptual model related to wind-driven water bodies and sediment distribution is ***-influenced to wave-dominated deltas,beaches,spits,and eolian dune deposits develop around these two lakes,with a strikingly similar distribution *** features locally inform the longshore drift and help reconstruct the water circulation induced by wind *** the NW prevailing wind regime,the spits developed on the SW coast with a NW—SE extension,which was influenced by the NW—SE longshore *** same influence was observed in the delta extension in the NE *** differences lie in the presence of fan deltas in the NW region of Lake Hulun,but not in Lake ***,the width of the beach and eolian deposits on the downwind coast of Lake Hulun is three times greater than that of Lake Buir which were caused by the differences in sediment supply and wind fetch between the two *** Hulun and Lake Buir provide two reliable examples to understand the relationship among the wind field,provenance,hydrodynamics,landforms,and asymmetrical distribution of clastics in elongated *** also represent relevant modern analogs,which may also be of guiding significance to wind-driven sand body prediction in lacustrine basins.

BACKGROUND Prolonged donor hepatectomy time may be implicated in early and late complications of liver *** To evaluate the impact of donor hepatectomy time on outcomes of liver transplant recipients,mainly early allograft *** This multicenter retrospective study included brain-dead donors and adult liver graft ***-recipient matching was obtained through a crossover *** and laboratory data were recorded for both donors and *** hepatectomy,cold ischemia,and warm ischemia times were *** outcome was early allograft *** outcomes included need for retransplantation,length of intensive care unit and hospital stay,and patient and graft survival at 12 *** From January 2019 to December 2021,a total of 243 patients underwent a liver transplant from a brain-dead *** these,57(25%)developed early allograft *** median donor hepatectomy time was 29(23–40)*** with early allograft dysfunction had a median hepatectomy time of 25(22–38)min,whereas those without it had a median time of 30(24–40)min(P=0.126).CONCLUSION Donor hepatectomy time was not associated with early allograft dysfunction,graft survival,or patient survival following liver transplantation.

Biliary complications like cholelithiasis and choledocholithiasis are more common in bariatric surgery patients due to obesity and rapid weight *** with a body mass index>40 face an eightfold risk of developing *** surgery,especially after laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass(LRYGB),30%of patients develop biliary disease due to rapid weight *** aim of this review is to analyze the main biliary complications that occur after bariatric surgery and its management.A review of the literature was conducted mainly from 2010 up to 2023 with regard to biliary complications associated with bariatric patients in SciELO,Pubmed,and *** undergoing LRYGB have a higher incidence(14.5%)of symptomatic calculi post-surgery compared to those undergoing laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy at 4.1%.Key biliary complications within 6 to 12 months post-surgery include:Cholelithiasis:36%;Biliary colic/dyskinesia:3.86%;Acute cholecystitis:0.98%-18.1%;Chronic cholecystitis:70.2%;Choledocholithiasis:0.2%-5.7%and Pancreatitis:0.46%-9.4%.Surgeons need to be aware of these complications and consider surgical treatments based on patient symptoms to enhance their quality of life.
