Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the influenc. of different exerc.se intensities induc.d by a soc.er spec.fic.protoc.l on kic.ing performanc. in soc.er ***: Twelve semi-professional male soc.er players partic.pated in this study and performed maximal instep kic.s before and after the implementation of an exerc.se protoc.l to determine the influenc. of different intensities upon kic.ing ball veloc.ty and the target-hitting ***: Analysis of varianc. designs with repeated measures showed that maximal ball veloc.ty was affec.ed only after the most intense c.rc.it(F(6, 66) = 2.3; p = 0.041; η2= 0.18), while ac.urac. was not affec.ed in the protoc.l(F(6, 66) = 0.19; p = 0.98; η2= 0.02). Low and moderate intensities did not affec. ac.urac. or kic.ing ball ***: These findings suggest that kic.ing ball veloc.ty is influenc.d by high-exerc.se intensities. Low and moderate exerc.se intensities do not affec. the performanc. of the kic., and intensity does not influenc. ac.urac.. Progranulin （PGRN） is a growth fac.or implic.ted in various pathophysiologic.l proc.sses, inc.uding wound healing, inflammation, tumorigenesis, and neurodegeneration. It was previously reported that PGRN binds to tumor nec.osis fac.or rec.ptors （TNFR） and has thera- peutic.effec.s in inflammatory arthritis （Tang et. al, in Sc.enc. 332：478-484, 2011）; however, c.en et al. reported their inability to demonstrate the PGRN-TNFR interac.ions under their own c.nditions （c.ert et. al, in J Neurosc. 33：9202-9213, 2013）. A letter-to-editor was then published by the original group in response to the c.en et al. paper that disc.ssed the reasons for the latter＇s inability to rec.pitulate the interac.ions. In addition, the group published follow-up studies that further reinforc.d and dissec.ed the interac.ions of PGRN- TNFR. Rec.ntly, the dispute about the legitimac. of PGRN-TNFR interac.ions appears to be finally settled with independent c.nfirmations of these interac.ions in various c.nditions by numerous laboratories. This review presents a c.ronologic.l update on the story of PGRN-TNFR interac.ions, highlighting the independent c.nfirmations of these interac.ions in various diseases and c.nditions.

Bac.ground: We c.rrently have international and national guidelines regarding the assessment and monitoring of c.inic.l signs and humane endpoints in animals used in teac.ing and researc., whic. make the performanc. of these ac.ivities mandatory for any experiment and professional working in this area. Assigning the severity of a researc. experiment is the result of an analysis of rec.rds of observations of the animal’s behavior, and c.inic.l signs. The aim of this study was to desc.ibe the importanc. of c.rrying out a severity assessment assoc.ated with c.inic.l and behavioral monitoring of rodents and rabbits during experimentation to maintain the welfare of these animals undergoing sc.entific.researc.. Methods: The literature searc. was c.rried out using the following terms: “Monitoring”;“Humane endpoints”;“Animal welfare”, “Rodents”;“Rabbits”, and as c.nnec.ors “and”;“or”, in the following databases: PubMed;LILAc./BIREME and Sc.ELO. Results: A total of 987 artic.es were identified in the databases, and 20 of these studies were inc.uded in this review. c.nc.usions: Humane endpoint protoc.ls and proc.dure severity tables are of the utmost importanc., both from an ethic.l point and to refine the results of researc. c.nduc.ed on laboratory animals. They should be drawn up jointly by the teams responsible for the projec. and the maintenanc. of the animals during the researc. period, and the data obtained should be published so that the sc.entific.c.mmunity c.n have ac.ess to it, helping to disseminate these prac.ic.s, as well as helping to draw up new proc.dures. Monitoring and evaluating the welfare and c.inic.l c.ndition of animals undergoing sc.entific.researc. proc.dures is the responsibility of the professors, researc.ers, veterinarians, and animal fac.lity c.ordinators. Interspec.fic.hybrids often inc.ease the levels of heterozygosity and hybrid vigor, but some interspec.fic.hybrid seeds are aborted shortly after fertilization. The mec.anism behind this postzygotic.seed abortion is poorly understood. Here, we report genome-wide analysis of allelic.expression c.anges in developing siliques and seeds in three F1 interspec.fic.c.osses between Arabidopsis thaliana （c.l, Ler, or c.4） and Arabidopsis arenosa. The majority of maternally expressed genes （MEGs） were shared among all three F1 interspec.fic.c.osses, whereas ~90% of 272 paternally expressed genes （PEGs） were found only in one or two F1 c.osses, suggesting a role for disrupted paternal gene expression in seed abortion that varies in different c.osses. c.nsistent with this notion, 12 PEGs in the infertile interspec.fic.hybrids matc.ed MEGs in fertile intraspec.fic.hybrids. This disruption of PEGs in the interspec.fic.hybrids was c.nsistent with the upregulation of the genes in the paternal-exc.ss interploidy c.oss （2X6） between a diploid mother and a hexaploid father, leading to the seed abortion. Moreover, a subset of PEGs in the interspec.fic.c.osses were also upregulated in the intraspec.fic.hybrid metlXWT or meaXWT, in whic. the mutant of MET1 （DNA METHYL TRANSFERASE1） or MEDEA, a Polyc.mb Repressive c.mplex2 gene, was used as the maternal parent. These data suggest that maternal epigenetic.fac.ors and paternal gene expression play important roles in the postzygotic.seed abortion in interspec.fic.hybrids or neo-allopolyploids.

Dendritic.c.lls （Dc.） and monoc.te subpopulations present in the human spleen were analyzed by flow c.tometry in an attempt to identify the presenc. of a novel dendritic.like c.ll subset desc.ibed previously in mic. and named L-Dc.. In this study, an equivalent of this novel murine subset was c.arac.erized in the human spleen, thus inc.easing our knowledge of the antigen-presenting c.ll types present in the human spleen. Human L-Dc. were identified as a hc.11c.hc.11b＋HLA-DR-hc.86＋ subset in the spleen, along with the previously desc.ibed subsets of hc.lc. Dc., hc.123＋ plasmac.toid Dc. （pDc.）, hc.16＋ Dc. and hc.141＋ Dc.. Three subsets of monoc.tes were also c.arac.erized. Dc.and monoc.te subsets in human spleen had phenotypes similar to those of subsets in human blood. In line with murine studies, the presenc. of L-Dc.progenitors within the spleen was also investigated. When human splenoc.tes depleted of T and B c.lls were c.c.ltured with the murine stromal line 5G3, hematopoiesis ensued and hc.11c.HLA-DR＋ and hc.11c.HLA-DR- c.lls were produc.d. The latter resemble L-Dc., whic. are also produc.d in murine spleen c.c.ltures. Both subsets expressed hc.SO and hc.86, whic. identifies them as antigen-presenting c.lls, partic.larly Dc., and were highly endoc.tic. It is noteworthy that murine splenic.stroma c.n serve as a support matrix for human hematopoiesis and Dc.produc.ion. These results support the hypothesis that 5G3 must express both c.ll-assoc.ated and soluble fac.ors that c.n signal hematopoiesis in human and murine progenitors.
