Reciprocal inhibition of expression between RAV1 and BES1 modulates plant growth and development in Arabidopsis

RAV1(Related to ABI3/VP1)is a plant-specific B3 and AP2 domain-containing transcription factor that acts as a negative regulator of growth in many plant *** expression of RAV1 is downregulated by brassinosteroids(BRs);large-scale transcriptome analyses have shown that the expression of RAV1 was previously targeted by BRI1-EMS-SUPPRESOR1(BES1)and BRASSINAZOLE-RESISTANT1(BZR1),which are critical transcription factors for the BR-signaling *** RAV1-overexpressing transgenic plants,we showed that RAV1 overexpression reduced the BR signaling capacity,resulting in the downregulation of BR biosynthetic genes and BES1 ***,we demonstrated that BES1,not BZR1,is directly bound to the RAV1 promoter and repressed RAV1 expression,and vice versa;RAV1 is also bound to the BES1 promoter and repressed BES1 *** mutual inhibition was specific to RAV1 and BES1 because RAV1 exhibited binding activity to the BZR1 promoter but did not repress BZR1 *** observed that constitutively activated BR signaling phenotypes in bes1-D were attenuated by the repression of endogenous BES1 expression in transgenic bes1-D plants overexpressing ***-sequencing analysis of RAV1-overexpressing transgenic plants and bes1-D mutant plants revealed differentially expressed genes by RAV1 and BES1 and genes that were oppositely co-regulated by RAV1 and ***1 and BES1 regulated different transcriptomes but co-regulated a specific set of genes responsible for the balance between growth and *** results suggested that the mutual inhibitory transcriptional activities of RAV1 and BES1 provide fine regulatory mechanisms for plant growth and development.

Delayed hypersensitivity reaction resulting in maculopapular-type eruption due to entecavir in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B

Several clinical trials have demonstrated the potent antiviral efficacy of entecavir (ETV), and this relatively new nucleoside analogue drug has rapidly become a frequently prescribed therapy for chronic hepatitis B (CHB) worldwide. While the studies have also shown a good overall safety profile for ETV, adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in patients with advanced cirrhosis have been reported and represent a broad spectrum of drug-induced injuries, including lactic acidosis, myalgia, neuropathy, azotemia, hypophosphatemia, muscular weakness, and pancreatitis, as well as immune-mediated responses (i.e., allergic reactions). Cutaneous ADRs associated with ETV are very rare, with only two case reports in the publicly available literature; both of these cases were classified as unspecified hypersensitivity allergic (type I) ADR, but neither were reported as pathologically proven or as evaluated by cytokine release analysis. Here, we report the case of a 45-year-old woman who presented with a generalized maculopapular rash after one week of ETV treatment for lamivudine-resistant CHB. The patient reported having experienced a similar skin eruption during a previous three-month regimen of ETV, for which she had self-discontinued the medication. Histopathological analysis of a skin biopsy showed acanthotic epidermis with focal parakeratosis and a perivascular lymphocytic infiltrate admixed with interstitial eosinophils in the papillary and reticular dermis, consistent with a diagnosis of drug sensitivity. A lymphocyte stimulation test showed significantly enhanced IL-4, indicating a classification of type IVb delayed hypersensitivity. The patient was switched to an adefovir-lamivudine combination regimen and the skin eruption resolved two weeks after the ETV withdrawal. This case represents the first pathologically and immunologically evidenced ETV-induced delayed type hypersensitivity skin reaction reported to date. The Origin of Nonlinear Dynamics Involving Complexity in Modern Sciences

This paper reveals the origin of nonlinear dynamics and presents a solution for nonlinear systematic problems based on other science. Generally, physical phenomena are divided into linear static logical problems and nonlinear dynamic systematic problems, but all scientists have solved both problems using the same algebraic logical solution in statistical physics based on determinism such as chaos theory. Surprisingly, this is a contradiction and a serious mistake because there is a perfect solution such as the system analysis theory existing in other science. Unfortunately, it has developed in the 20th century by engineers. Thus, classical physicists could not solve it. Meanwhile, the author achieved the systematic solution for many unsolved nonlinear systematical, further, proved the research result through simulation using specially designed simulation device. Thus, this is a revolutionary achievement because it can easily solve the unsolved nonlinear dynamics that exists in all fields of science. Ironically most determinists do not welcome and reject it. Role of dietary gamma-aminobutyric acid in broiler chickens raised under high stocking density

The present study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)in broiler chickens raised in high stocking density(HSD)on performance and physiological responses.A total of 900 male broiler chicks(Ross 308)at 1 d old were assigned in a 2×2 factorial arrangement to 4 treatments(10 replicates per treatment)with stocking density,7.5 birds/m^2(low stocking density;LSD)or 15 birds/m^2(HSD),and dietary GABA,0 or 100 mg/*** raised in HSD exhibited a decrease in body weight gain in all phases(Pchain fatty acids depending on stocking density leading to a moderate to significant *** density decreased alpha-1-acid glycoprotein whereas dietary GABA decreased heterophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and corticosterone in blood or serum *** biochemical parameters were altered by stocking density or dietary *** is concluded that dietary GABA alleviated stress indices including corticosterone and heterophilto-lymphocyte ratio,but failed to reverse stocking density-induced growth depression.

Recent progress on the seasonal tropical cyclone predictions over the western North Pacific from 2014 to 2020

This study summarized the procedure for the seasonal predictions of tropical cyclones(TCs)over the western North Pacific(WNP),which is currently operating at the Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA),Republic of *** methodology was briefly described,and its prediction accuracy was *** predictions were produced by synthesizing spatiotemporal evolutions of various climate factors such as El Ni no–Southern Oscillation(ENSO),monsoon activity,and Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO),using four models:a statistical,a dynamical,and two statistical–dynamical *** KMA forecaster predicted the number of TCs over the WNP based on the results of the four models and season to season climate *** seasonal prediction of TCs is announced through the press twice a year,for the summer on May and fall on *** present results showed low accuracy during the period 2014–*** advance forecast skill,a set of recommendations are suggested.

Comparative study on multibody vehicle dynamics models based on subsystem synthesis method using Cartesian and joint coordinates

The subsystem synthesis method has been developed in order to improve computational efficiency for a multibody vehicle dynamics model. Using the subsystem synthesis method, equations of motion of the base body and each subsystem can be solved separately. In the subsystem synthesis method, various coordinate systems can be used and various integration methods can be applied in each subsystem, as long as the effective mass matrix and the effective force vector are properly produced. In this paper, comparative study has been carried out for the subsystem synthesis method with Cartesian coordinates and with joint relative coordinates. Two different integration methods such as an explicit integrator and an explicit implicit integrator are employed. In order to see the accuracy and computational efficiency from the different models based on the different coordinate systems and different integration methods, a rough terrain run simulations has been carried out with a 6 × 6 off-road multibody vehicle model.

New Solutions for Systematic Problems Involving Complexity through Program MATLAB Based on Indeterminism for Non-Physicists

Modern science has solved the systematic dynamic problems involving complexity such as complex systems by logical solution algebraically such as the old chaos theory derived from algebraic statistics based on determinism. It is very vague and difficult for us. Moreover, modern science treats systems dynamic problems as logical static problems according to determinism. However, this study proposes a novel solution for systematic problems, it is accomplished by systems analysis theory based on a third science (indeterminism) as it is more precise and easier to understand compared to chaos theory. Furthermore, it is suitable for non-physicists, because it is supported by computer simulations without any mathematical processing. Thus, it can be solved especially regressive systems solution. Therefore, this provided an innovative scientific result to non-physicists for their unsolved systematic problems in modern science.
