The corrosion behavior study was conducted on a novel Fe77 Mo5P9C7.5 B1.5 in-situ metallic glass matrix composite （MGMC）. This composite sample was developed by introduction of bcc a-Fe dendrites as reinforcing phase. The corrosion behavior of this composite was compared to its monolithic counterpart and other Fe-based alloys such as 304L and 2304L stainless steels. The corrosion resistance of MGMCs in H2SO4 solution shows inferior to that of other Fe-based alloys. Experiments suggest that Fe-BMGs samples possess better corrosion resistance property than that of Fe-MGMCs. The possible underlying reasons can be the inhomogeneity induced by the precipitation of a-Fe dendrites in the MGMCs.

Immunotherapy offers significant potential but is often hampered by the immunosuppressive environment in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC).To address this,we propose an enhanced immunotherapeutic strategy that revitalizes the tumor immune microenvironment(TIME)in OSCC by integrating upconversion-based photodynamic therapy(PDT)with *** a red blood cell membraneinspired biomimetic nanoplatform,our approach concurrently delivers chlorin e6@upconversion nanoparticles(Ce6@UCNP)and doxorubicin(DOX).By leveraging fluorescence resonance energy transfer(FRET)for 980 nm to 660 nm upconversion excitation,we address challenges such as limited tissue penetration and tissue damage,as well as nanoplatform issues including immunogenicity and targeting inaccuracy Our integrated approach enhances PDT and chemotherapy with the goal of transforming immunologically“cold”tumors into“hot”ones through a cascaded therapy,thereby revitalizing the tumor immune microenvironment in OSCC.

To improve the application and service of C_(f)/SiC composites as advanced hightemperature structural materials,it is critical to achieve their high-efficiency and low-damage *** this study,the laser-ablating assisted grinding(LAAG)method was presented,and the connection of damage behavior and removal mechanism with laser and grinding processes was *** results demonstrated that the surface of C_(f)/SiC composites after laser ablation was covered with a substantial number of loose oxides primarily composed of *** ablating process,grinding parameter and abrasive belt selection have a significant impact on the machining *** fabricating an ablative layer with small laser scanning spacing,and selecting small abrasive grains and feed rate during grinding,the machinability was improved and a relatively lowerdamage grinding surface could be *** the optimal combination of process parameters,the grinding force and temperature of LAAG could be reduced by up to 85%and 35%,*** this case,the subsurface damage of C_(f)/SiC composites occurred only in the form of microcracks rather large-scale fracture,and the formation of interface debonding and matrix cracking was significantly ***,the grinding chips were mostly shown as micron-sized powders,indicating that the removal mechanism of C_(f)/SiC composites was primarily the microfractured and attrition wear of laser-ablated layer.

Mammalian hair,as a key feature related to endothermy,physical protection,and camouflage,has a long geohistorical record that dates back even to the ***,the limited information on the taphonomy of hair hinders the understanding of its evolutionary significance in deep *** address this,we conducted taphonomic experiments to simulate the transformation process of black *** changes in the morphological structure,microscopic characteristics,and chemical composition of hair during the simulated fossilization process were documented by scanning electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,and Raman *** results revealed that damage to the morphology of hair began at a mild temperature(150–175℃),and hair transformed into a fluid-like mass at a relatively high temperature(200℃).In addition,the morphological structure of melanosomes had relatively greater preservation potential than keratins did,and the microscopic features of melanosomes were persistently *** Raman and FTIR spectra indicated that the characteristic melanin and keratin peaks changed as the temperature *** the chemical signals were not lost completely,the variations in the characteristic amide bands in the FTIR spectra indicate that the keratins severely degraded at high temperatures(>200℃),whereas the characteristic melanin bands in the Raman spectra suggested that melanin signals were still recognizable,even at high temperatures(>200℃).These results were confirmed by principal component analysis(PCA)and principal component analysis linear discriminant analysis(PCA–LDA).In addition,the Raman signals of all the samples in the simulated experiments were distinguished from the signals of common geological carbonaceous materials(humic acid),which suggested that Raman spectroscopy can be used to detect melanin in fossils.

Liver transplantation represents a complex surgical procedure and serves as a curative treatment for patients presenting an acute or chronic end-stage liver disease, or carefully selected liver malignancy. A significant gap still exists between the number of available donor organs and potential recipients. The use of an otherwise-wasted resected liver lobe from patients with benign liver tumors is a new, albeit small, option to alleviate the allograft shortage. This review provides evidence that resected liver lobes may be used successfully in liver transplantation.

With the increasing severity of arsenic(As)pollution,quantifying the environmental behavior of pollutant based on numerical model has become an important approach to determine the potential impacts and finalize the precise control *** the industrialintensive Jinsha River Basin as typical area,a two-dimensional hydrodynamic water quality model coupled with Soil andWater Assessment Tool(SWAT)model was developed to accurately simulate the watershed-scale distribution and transport of As in the terrestrial and aquatic environment at high spatial and temporal *** effects of hydro-climate change,hydropower station construction and non-point source emissions on Aswere quantified based on the coupled *** result indicated that higher As concentration areas mainly centralized in urban districts and concentration slowly decreased from upstream to *** to the enhanced rainfall,the As concentration was significantly higher during the rainy season than the dry ***-climate change and the construction of hydropower station not only affected the dissolved As concentration,but also affected the adsorption and desorption of As in ***,As concentration increased with the input of non-point source pollution,with the maximum increase about 30%,resulting that non-point sources contributed important pollutant impacts to *** coupled model used in pollutant behavior analysis is generalwith high potential application to predict and mitigate water pollution.

Abiotic aerobic oxidation pathways of stibnite revealed by oxygen and sulfur isotope systematics of sulfate

The environmental threat posed by stibnite is an important geoenvironmental issue of current *** better understand stibnite oxidation pathways,aerobic abiotic batch experiments were conducted in aqueous solution with varyingδ^(18)O_(H_(2)O) value at initial neutral pH for different lengths of time(15-300 days).The sulfate oxygen and sulfur isotope compositions as well as concentrations of sulfur and antimony species were *** sulfur isotope fractionation factor(△^(34)S_(SO4-stibnite))values decreased from 0.8‰to-2.1‰during the first 90 days,and increased to 2.6‰at the 180 days,indicating the dominated intermediate sulfur species such as S_(2)O_(3)^(2-),S0,and H_(2)S(g)involved in Sb2S3 oxidation *** incorporation of O into sulfate derived from O_(2)(~100%)indicated that the dissociated O_(2)was only directly adsorbed on the stibnite-S sites in the initial stage(0-90 days).The proportion of O incorporation into sulfate from water(27%-52%)increased in the late stage(90-300 days),which suggested the oxidation mechanism changed to hydroxyl attack on stibnite-S sites promoted by nearby adsorbed O_(2)on stibnite-Sb *** exchange of oxygen between sulfite and water may also contributed to the increase of water derived O into SO42-.The new insight of stibnite oxidation pathway contributes to the understanding of sulfide oxidation mechanism and helps to interpret field data.

Tactile perception plays a vital role for the human body and is also highly desired for smart prosthesis and advanced *** to active sensing devices,passive piezoelectric and triboelectric tactile sensors consume less power,but lack the capability to resolve static ***,we address this issue by utilizing the unique polarization chemistry of conjugated polymers for the first time and propose a new type of bioinspired,passive,and bio-friendly tactile sensors for resolving both static and dynamic ***,to emulate the polarization process of natural sensory cells,conjugated polymers(including poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophen e):poly(styrenesulfonate),polyaniline,or polypyrrole)are controllably polarized into two opposite states to create artificial potential *** controllable and reversible polarization process of the conjugated polymers is fully in situ ***,a micro-structured ionic electrolyte is employed to imitate the natural ion channels and to encode external touch stimulations into the variation in potential difference *** with the currently existing tactile sensing devices,the developed tactile sensors feature distinct characteristics including fully organic composition,high sensitivity(up to 773 mV N^(−1)),ultralow power consumption(nW),as well as superior *** demonstrations,both single point tactile perception(surface texture perception and material property perception)and two-dimensional tactile recognitions(shape or profile perception)with high accuracy are successfully realized using self-defined machine learning *** tactile sensing concept innovation based on the polarization chemistry of conjugated polymers opens up a new path to create robotic tactile sensors and prosthetic electronic skins.

The synthesis ofα-amino acid from imines with different carbonyl sources is attractive for both synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry ***,which were easily available from the corresponding ketones and amines,were employed as one of the most ideal ***,cyanation and subsequent hydrolysis were required to install the carboxyl group^([1]).In these cases,the toxicity of the cyanation reagents limited its further synthetic applications in organic ***,metal activation of imine substrates to make the organometallic intermediate and trap CO_(2) to give the desiredα-amino acid were also developed by many groups(Scheme 1A).The utilization of stoiochiometric amounts of metal reagents was required to realize the ***,Yu reported a novel photocatalytic reductive carboxylation protocol for synthesis ofα-amino acid from imines with CO_(2)as the carbonyl source^([2]).

Unstable Zn interface caused by rampant dendrite growth and parasitic side reactions always hinders the practical application of aqueous zinc metal batteries（AZMBs）,herein,tyrosine（Tyr） with high molecular polarity was introduced into aqueous electrolyte to modulate the interfacial electrochemistry of Zn *** AZMBs,the positively charged side of Tyr can be well adsorbed on the surface of Zn anode to form a water-poor layer,and the exposed carboxylate side can be easily coordinated with Zn2+,favoring inducing uniform plating of Zn2+and inhibiting the occurrence of water-induced side *** in turn enable the achievement of highly stable Zn ***,the Zn anodes achieve outstanding cyclic stability(3000 h at 2 mA cm-2,2 mA h cm-2and 1300 h at 5 mA cm-2,5 mA h cm-2),high average Coulombic efficiency（99.4% over 3200 cycles）,and high depth of discharge（80% for 500 h）.Besides,the assembled Zn‖NaV3O8·1.5H2O full cells deliver remarkable capacity retention and ultra-long lifetime(61.8% over 6650 cycles at 5 A g-1) and enhanced rate capability(169 mA h g-1at 5 A g-1).The work may promote the design and deep understanding of electrolyte additives with high molecular polarity for high-performance AZMBs.
