Biogenic C-doped titania templated by cyanobacteria for visible-light photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B

Cyanobacteria, which occurred in eutrophic water harvest solar light to carry out photosynthesis with high efficiency. In this work, cyanobacteria （Microcystis sp.） were used as biotemplate to synthesize titania structure. The synthesized titania sample had similar morphology to that of the original template in spite of the fragile unicellular structures and extremely high water content of cyanobacterial cells. Incorporation of biogenic C, as well as the morphology inherited from biotemplate improved visible- light absorbance of the titania structure. The sample exhibited higher visible-light photocatalytic activity than commercial titania photocatalyst Degussa P25 for Rhodamine B （RhB） degradation. Compared with those C-doped titania photocatalysts prepared by other methods, cyanobacteria templated titania photocatalyst offer some potential for competitive advantages. The reported strategy opened up a new use for the cyanobacteria. It could also be used for titania in applications such as treatment of polluted water, dye-sensitized solar cells, or other regions.

For the offshore wind turbines installed in earthquake areas,their operation is affected by seismic loads in addition to wind and wave ***,it is necessary to study the dynamic responses and vibration control of the wind *** previous studies,the structural responses of offshore wind turbines are usually investigated in the parked case,while the blade rotation effect is usually not *** evaluation on the structural responses may be inaccurate under this condition,further affecting the evaluation on the vibration control performance of a control *** view of it,this paper established a complete multi-body model of a fixed-bottom offshore wind turbine considering pile-soil interaction,and then performed simulations when the wind turbine was subjected to multiple external ***,a single tuned mass damper(STMD)system and a multiple tuned mass dampers(MTMDs)system were applied to control structural vibrations of the wind ***,based on the construction of a simplified main structure-TMD system,TMD parameters were ***,twelve load cases including operating and parked conditions were selected to perform *** show that the influence of the seismic excitation on blade responses is greater under the parked condition than that under the operating ***,STMD/MTMDS exhibit better performance under the parked condition than that under the operating *** with STMD,MTMDS can better suppress the vibrations at both the fundamental and high-order modes,and exhibits significant robustness under the condition of changing soil parameters.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) and ferroptosis therapy have received extensive attention in breast cancer treatment. PDT induced apoptosis of tumor cells by producing a large amount of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under laser irradiation. Differently, ferroptosis therapy exerts its antitumor effect by inducing excessive accumulation of lipid peroxides on tumor cell membranes. Based on that, ROS produced by PDT may promote ferroptosis in tumor cells, and ferroptosis therapy is expected eliminate apoptosis-resistant tumor cells. Therefore, a synergistic ferroptosis-photodynamic therapy will be more effective and more potential in breast cancer treatment. Considering PDT has the characteristic of producing ROS, and neutrophil has a natural tendency to ROS, a neutrophil-mimetic hybrid liposome (CR-NML) was designed for co-delivery of the photosensitizer Ce6 and the ferroptosis inducer RSL3. CR-NML targeted tumor through the ROS tendency of neutrophil and the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect of liposome, then induced both apoptosis and ferroptosis in tumor cells, which increased ROS level and finally realized ROS cascade amplification. The synergistic ferroptosis-photodynamic therapy demonstrated significant therapeutic efficacy in 4T1 tumor bearing mice, which provided a promising strategy for breast cancer treatment.

Objective: To investigate the effects of electroacupuncture(EA) on endolymphatic hydrops(EH) and the regulation of arginine vasopressin(AVP)-aquaporin-2(AQP2) pathway in guinea pigs. Methods: EH was induced in male guinea pigs by an intraperitoneal injection of AVP. For the treatment, EA was delivered to Baihui(GV 20) and Tinggong(SI 19) acupoints, once per day for 10 consecutive days. In histomorphological studies, cochlear hydrops degree was evaluated by hematoxylin-eosin(he) staining, and then the ratio of scala media(SM) area to SM + scala vestibuli(SV) area(R value) was calculated. In mechanical studies, a comparison of plasma AVP(p-AVP) concentrations, cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP) levels, vasopressin type 2 receptor(V2R) and AQP2 mRNA expressions in the cochlea were compared among groups. Results: EA significantly reduced cochlear hydrops in guinea pigs(P=0.001). EA significantly attenuated the AVPinduced up-regulation of p-AVP concentrations(P=0.006), cochlear c AMP levels(P=0.003) and AQP2 mRNA expression(P=0.016), and up-regulated the expression of V2R mRNA(P=0.004) in the cochlea. Conclusion: The dehydrating effect of EA might be associated with its inhibition of AVP-AQP2 pathway activation.

This paper constructs a coupled aero-hydro-elastic-servo simulation framework for a monopile offshore wind turbine(OWT).In this framework,a detailed multi-body dynamics model of the monopile OWT including the gearbox,blades,tower and other components(nacelle,hub,bedplate,etc.)has been explicitly *** effects of pile−soil interaction,controller and operational conditions on the turbine dynamic responses are studied systematically in time domain and frequency *** results show that(1)a comprehensive drivetrain model has the capability to provide a more precise representation of the complex dynamic characteristics exhibited by drivetrain components,which can be used as the basis for further study on the dynamic characteristics of the drivetrain.(2)The pile−soil interaction can influence the wind turbine dynamic responses,particularly under the parked condition.(3)The effect of the pile−soil interaction on tower responses is more significant than that on blade responses.(4)The use of the controller can substantially affect the rotor characteristics,which in turn influences the turbine dynamic responses.(5)The tower and blade displacements under the operational condition are much larger than those under the parked *** model and methodology presented in this study demonstrate potential for examining complex dynamic behaviors of the monopile *** ensure accuracy and precision,it is imperative to construct a detailed model of the wind turbine system,while also taking into account simulation efficiency.

Nonconventional luminescent materials(NLMs)are a type of organic luminescent materials that does not contain aromatic *** to the simplicity of the synthesis process,mild reaction conditions,good hydrophilicity and biological compatibility,NLMs have attracted much ***,numerous reports indicate that NLMs can only effectively luminesce at high concentrations and in solid state,which limits their applicability in the field of cell *** study addresses this limitation by designing and synthesizing oligomers P1,P2 and P3 using ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether and amine compounds containing ethylene *** oligomers exhibit remarkable luminescence efficiency reaching as high as 9.2%in dilute solutions(0.1 mg/m L),making them among the best NLMs in this ***,the synthesized oligomers exhibit excitation wavelength-dependent and concentration-dependent luminescence intensity,fluorescence response to temperature and p H changes,as well as the ability to identify Fe^(3+),Cu^(2+)and Mo^(5+)in dilute *** characteristics render them potentially useful in the for cell imaging.

A three-dimensional unsteady flow around the hydrofoil has been dealt with in thispaper. Under the assumption of infinitesimal wave and thin hydrofoil, analytic solution ofperturbation velocity potential induced by the unsteady flow of a hydrofoil which is simplified as aseries of rectangular vortex rings is achieved and then the unsteady forces can be evaluated.

Quality assessment of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower by simultaneous quantification of six major ingredients using a single reference standard combined with HPLC fingerprint analysis

Chrysanthemum indicum Flower is usually consumed as functional food. This paper described an improved total quality assessment method for Chrysanthemum indicum Flower by simultaneous quantitation using a single standard to determine multi-components method combined with high performance liquid chromatography fingerprint analysis. Six main components of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower including two flavonoids and four phenolic acids were simultaneously quantified using linarin as the internal reference standard. The method was fully validated with respect to linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness and *** validated method was successfully applied to the analysis of thirty three batches of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower samples. Under the same chromatographic conditions, fingerprint analysis in combination with Similarity analysis and principal component analysis was performed to identify the samples from different regions. In general, an effective assessment using a single standard to determinate multi-components method combined with fingerprint analysis make the reliable qualitation and quantitation analysis of Chrysanthemum indicum Flower available.
