Power is an issue that must be considered in the design of logic circuits. Power optimization is a combinatorial optimization problem, since it is necessary to search for a logical expression that consumes the least amount of power from a large number of Reed-Muller(RM) logical expressions. The existing approach for optimizing the power of multi-output mixed polarity RM(MPRM) logic circuits suffer from poor optimization results. To solve this problem, a whale optimization algorithm with two-populations strategy and mutation strategy(TMWOA) is proposed in this paper. The two-populations strategy speeds up the convergence of the algorithm by exchanging information about the two-populations. The mutation strategy enhances the ability of the algorithm to jump out of the local optimal solutions by using the information of the current optimal solution. Based on the TMWOA, we propose a multi-output MPRM logic circuits power optimization approach(TMMPOA). Experiments based on the benchmark circuits of the Microelectronics Center of North Carolina(MCNC) validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed TMMPOA.

The fruits of Amomum tsao-ko(Cao-Guo)were documented in Chinese Pharmacopoeia for the treatment of abdominal pain,vomiting,and plague.In our previous study,a series of diarylheptanes and flavonoids withα-glucosidase and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B(PTP1B)inhibitory activity have been reported from the middle-polarity part of A.tsao-ko,whereas the antidiabetic potency of the low-polarity constituents is still unclear.In this study,three new hydroxytetradecenals,(2E,4E,8Z,11Z)-6R-hydroxytetradeca-2,4,8,11-tetraenal(1),(2E,4E,8Z)-6R-hydroxytetradeca-2,4,8-trienal(2)and(2E,4E)-6R-hydroxytetradeca-2,4-dienal(3)were obtained from the volatile oils of A.tsao-ko.The structures of compounds 1–3 were determined using spectroscopic data involving 1D and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR),high-resolution mass spectra(HRMS),and specific rotation([α]D).Their hypoglycemic activity was evaluated against glycogen phosphorylase(GPa)and PTP1B.Compounds 1 and 2 displayed moderate activity against PTP1B with inhibition rates of 33.8%−50.3%at 100 and 200μM.Moreover,compound 1 exhibited an obvious inhibitory effect on GPa(IC50=31.7μM),whereas compound 2 was inactive.This study demonstrates hydroxytetradecenals as the characteristic components of A.tsao-ko with therapeutic potential in diabetes.

Circuit area optimization of multi-output MPRM based on ERWOA algorithm

Mixed polarity Reed-Muller (MPRM) circuit area optimization has become a research hotspot in the field of integrated circuit design. It is a combinatorial optimization, aiming at finding the MPRM expression with the least number of terms among many MPRM expressions. A explosion strategy and restart strategy based whale optimization algorithm (ERWOA) is proposed. In addition, a multi-output MPRM circuit area optimization method is proposed, which uses the improved whale algorithm and the improved polarity conversion algorithm to search for the MPRM circuit with the least number of AND terms. Results on the MCNC Benchmark circuits show that the proposed algorithm increases the conversion efficiency by 99.93% and 99.96% at most, compared with the mixed polarity and inter-polarity conversion algorithms based on the list technology, respectively. Compared with the genetic algorithm and the artificial bee colony algorithm, the improved whale optimization algorithm saves the circuit area up to 18.32% with an average of 5.54%, and 14.41% with an average of 5.00%, respectively. © 2023 Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (BUAA). 为了探究不同地区草果种质资源农艺表型性状的遗传多样性。以云南怒江州不同地区的草果种质资源为材料,通过测定其8个农艺表型性状,运用变异系数、遗传多样性指数、方差分析、相关性分析、聚类分析、主成分分析与综合评价的方法分析草果农艺表型性状的遗传多样性。结果表明:各农艺表型性状均存在较大变异,变异系数为7.63%~32.51%,其中分蘖数的变异系数最大;各性状间表现出较好的多样性,shannon-wiener指数(Hʹ)范围为1.933~2.355,平均值为2.024;各农艺表型性状不同种质间存在显著差异(P<0.05);果实纵径与果型指数、果重存在极显著的正相关关系,果实横径与果重存在极显著的正相关关系,果型指数与叶宽存在显著负相关关系;聚类分析将不同地区草果种质资源分为2个类群,其中来自福贡县与来自泸水市的草果种质资源各自聚成一类;从8个农艺表型性状中共提取出3个主成分,累计贡献率达到76.940%,能综合反映草果农艺表型性状的大部分信息;综合评价结果表明,SD12、SD20、SD7、SD17、SD18、SD5排在前6位,综合表现较好。上述结果说明,云南怒江州不同地区24份草果种质资源农艺表型性状的遗传多样性较为丰富,不同地区的草果种质资源变异性较明显,其中SD12、SD20、SD7、SD17、SD18、SD5草果的农艺表型性状综合表现较好,是较适合用于育种的优质种质资源。

MgNet: A unified framework of multigrid and convolutional neural network

We develop a unified model, known as MgNet, that simultaneously recovers some convolutional neural networks (CNN) for image classification and multigrid (MG) methods for solving discretized partial differential equations (PDEs). This model is based on close connections that we have observed and uncovered between the CNN and MG methodologies. For example, pooling operation and feature extraction in CNN correspond directly to restriction operation and iterative smoothers in MG, respectively. As the solution space is often the dual of the data space in PDEs, the analogous concept of feature space and data space (which are dual to each other) is introduced in CNN. With such connections and new concept in the unified model, the function of various convolution operations and pooling used in CNN can be better understood. As a result, modified CNN models (with fewer weights and hyperparameters) are developed that exhibit competitive and sometimes better performance in comparison with existing CNN models when applied to both CIFAR-10 and CIFAR-100 data sets.

为了探究不同果型草果果粉的理化指标及其挥发性成分的差异,以怒江州泸水市草果果粉为原料,探究不同果型草果果粉的色差、挥发油含量、含水量、粒径、表面微观结构等理化指标,并采用顶空固相微萃取和气相色谱-质谱联用技术分析草果果粉的挥发性成分。结果表明:7种不同果型草果果粉的色差值△E为(19.17±0.29)~(25.15±0.17),L值在(72.50±0.23)~(76.87±0.07)范围内,a值为(5.17±0.05)~(6.97±0.15),b值为(12.35±0.43)~(16.91±0.43);挥发油含量为(0.76±0.01)~(1.30±0.26)mL/100 g;含水量为(11.13%±0.12%)~(15.05%±0.23%);粒径方面NL5、NL6草果果粉粉体颗粒差异最大。7种不同果型草果果粉中共检测出31种挥发性成分,共有成分17种,主要为醛类和醇类物质,包括反-2-癸烯醛、桉叶油醇、柠檬醛、香叶醇、乙酸香叶酯等。其中NL2草果果粉检出的挥发性成分最多,共28种,且反-2-癸烯醛相对含量最高,为22.24%±2.29%,NL5草果果粉中桉叶油醇的相对含量最高,为17.52%±2.16%。因此,不同果型草果果粉在色差、挥发油含量、含水量、粒径、表面微观结构上均存在一定差异,不同果型草果果粉的挥发性成分既有共性特征又有差异性。该研究结果可为优质纯天然草果果粉的生产及应用提供理论指导。

In this paper,we investigate the relationship between deep neural net works(DNN)with rectified linear unit(ReLU)function as the activation function and continuous piecewise linear(CPWL)functions,especially CPWL functions from the simplicial linear finite element method(FEM).We first consider the special case of FEM.By exploring the DNN representation of its nodal basis functions,we present a ReLU DNN representation of CPWL in FEM.We theoretically establish that at least 2 hidden layers are needed in a ReLU DNN to represent any linear finite element functions inΩ■R^2 when d≥2.Consequently,for d=2,3 which are often encountered in scientific and engineering computing,the minimal number of two hidden layers are necessary and sufficient for any CPWL function to be represented by a ReLU DNN.Then we include a detailed account on how a general CPWL in R^d can be represented by a ReLU DNN with at most[log2(d+1)]|hidden layers and we also give an estimation of the number of neurons in DNN that are needed in such a represe ntation.Furthermore,using the relationship bet ween DNN and FEM,we theoretically argue that a special class of DNN models with low bit-width are still expected to have an adequate representation power in applications.Finally,as a proof of concept,we present some numerical results for using ReLU DNNs to solve a two point boundary problem to demonstrate the potential of applying DNN for numerical solution of partial differential equations.

Magnesium alloy is one of the lightest metal structural materials.The weight is further reduced through the hollow structure.However,the hollow structure is easily damaged during processing.In order to maintain the hollow structure and to transfer the stresses during the high temperature deformation,the sand mandrel is proposed.In this paper,the hollow AZ31 magnesium alloy three-channel joint is studied by hot extrusion forming.Sand as one of solid granule medium is used to fill the hollow magnesium alloy.The extrusion temperatures are 230℃ and 300℃,respectively.The process parameters(die angle,temperature,bottom thickness,sidewall thickness,edge-to-middle ratio in bottom,bottom shape)of the hollow magnesium alloy are analyzed based on the results of experiments and the finite element method.The results are shown that the formability of the hollow magnesium alloy will be much better when the ratio of sidewall thickness to the bottom thickness is 1:1.5.Also when edge-to-middle ratio in bottom is about 1:1.5,a better forming product can be received.The best bottom shape in these experiments will be convex based on the forming results.The grain will be refined obviously after the extrusion.Also the microstructures will be shown as streamlines.And these lines will be well agreement with the mold in the corner.

The notorious dendrite and infinite volume change seriously restrict the advancement of lithium metal anodes(LMAs),during the long-term process of stripping/plating.herein,the nanosheets of metal fluoride(CoF_(2))and metal nitride(CoN)with magnificent lithiophilicity on the nickel(Ni)foam are designed as the“regulator”to uniform the Li plating and build stronger solid electrolyte interface(SEI)layer for dendrite free LMAs.The Ni foam offers abundant space to receive deposited Li metal.The CoN nanosheets can guarantee the fast transfer of electrons,which provides a stable interface of Li^(+)reduction.Moreover,the nanosheet structure with lithiophilicity would accelerate the move of Li+and decrease the nucleation barrier,due to the high lattice-matching of Li and CoN.Meanwhile,the CoF_(2) could increase the content of F(LiF)in the SEI layer,which enhances the strength and avoids the destruction of SEI layer.With the cooperation of CoN and CoF_(2),the composited anode(Li/NF@CNCF)exhibits ultra-long cycle performance(more than 1200 h)and fantastic structure stability at 1 mA·cm^(-2) with 1 mAh·cm^(-2).Based on the LiFePO_(4) and Li/NF@CNCF,the full cells deliver excellent specifical capacity and steady coulombic efficiency.The strategy contributes an effective approach to alleviate the issues of lithium metal anodes in the field of LMAs.

The emergence of microhemispherical resonant gyroscopes,which integrate the advantages of exceptional stability and long lifetime with miniaturization,has afforded new possibilities for the development of whole-angle gyroscopes.However,existing methods used for manufacturing microhemispherical resonant gyroscopes based on MEMS technology face the primary drawback of intricate and costly processing.here,we report the design,fabrication,and characterization of the first 3D-printable microhemispherical shell resonator for a Coriolis vibrating gyroscope.We remarkably achieve fabrication in just two steps bypassing the dozen or so steps required in traditional micromachining.By utilizing the intricate shaping capability and ultrahigh precision offered by projection microstereolithography,we fabricate 3D high-aspect-ratio resonant structures and controllable capacitive air gaps,both of which are extremely difficult to obtain via MEMS technology.In addition,the resonance frequency of the fabricated resonators can be tuned by electrostatic forces,and the fabricated resonators exhibit a higher quality factor in air than do typical MEMS microhemispherical resonators.This work demonstrates the feasibility of rapidly batch-manufacturing microhemispherical shell resonators,paving the way for the development of microhemispherical resonator gyroscopes for portable inertial navigation.Moreover,this particular design concept could be further applied to increase uptake of resonator tools in the MEMS community.
