The Rosenzweig-Macarthur Model is used to partially explain Venture Capital investment cycles. Investment opportunities and the experience of the investors, represent the prey and predator respectively. Stability analysis with respect to the interior equilibrium point is performed and dynamics of the system are investigated using numerical simulations and results are presented. The model shows that parameter variation affects the stability of the system and it experiences bifurcations. The results show that stability analysis is useful to provide a Venture Capitalist with the stability ranges of parameters in the system, to improve the quality of the investment process.

Background Long-term outcomes for Medicare beneficiaries hospitalised with transient ischaemic attack(TIA)and role of ABCD^(2) score in identifying high-risk individuals are not *** We identified 40825 Medicare beneficiaries hospitalised from 2011 to 2014 for a TIA to a Get With The Guidelines(GWTG)-Stroke hospital and classified them using ABCD^(2)s of mortality and rehospitalisation(all-cause,ischaemic stroke,haemorrhagic stroke,myocardial infarction,and gastrointestinal and intracranial haemorrhage)for high-risk versus low-risk groups adjusted for patient and hospital *** Of the 40825 patients,35118(86%)were high risk(ABCD^(2)≥4)and 5707(14%)were low risk(ABCD^(2)=0-3).Overall rate of mortality during 1-year follow-up after hospital discharge for the index TIA was 11.7%,44.3% were rehospitalised for any reason and 3.6%were readmitted due to *** with ABCD^(2) score≥4 had higher mortality at 1 year than not(adjusted HR 1.18,95%CI 1.07 to 1.30).Adjusted risks for ischaemic stroke,all-cause readmission and mortality/all-cause readmission at 1 year were also significantly higher for patients with ABCD^(2) score≥4 vs *** contrast,haemorrhagic stroke,myocardial infarction,gastrointestinal bleeding and intracranial haemorrhage risk were not significantly different by ABCD^(2) *** This study validates the use of ABCD^(2) score for long-term risk assessment after TIA in patients aged 65 years and *** efforts for community-based follow-up care after TIA are needed for ongoing prevention in Medicare beneficiaries who were hospitalised for TIA.

建筑物震后损伤评估是地震灾害损失评估、震后恢复和重建工作的重要内容之一。建筑物震后损伤评估要现场找出结构损伤或破坏位置并对其进行分类统计和分析,它不仅提供了有关任何结构中损坏构件的数量和类别的重要信息,还帮助我们发现导致损坏的可能的结构缺陷。传统的损伤评估技术包括由工程师或专家对每个受损结构进行目视检查,这种检查方式不仅危险、耗时,而且需要大量熟练人力。基于计算机视觉的结构损伤识别技术已经成为结构监测和检测领域中一个极为先进和创新的研究方向,并逐渐受到了土木工程研究人员的关注。计算机视觉技术的主要优点是非接触、远距离、高精度、更大的覆盖范围以及可通过移动设备和无人机进行识别。本论文主要研究更易受地震影响的砌体结构的损伤评估。首先,本论文对卷积神经网络（CNN）理论进行了回顾和讨论,分析了迁移学习,超参数调试,卷积可视化等算法。同时,对砌体结构墙体在地震中可能发生的多类损伤（如对角裂缝、拐角分离、分层和平面外破坏等）进行了分类。其次,本文提出了一种通过在Image Net数据集上预先训练的VGG16模型上应用微调和转移学习而构建的深度CNN模型架构。梯度加权类激活映射（GradCAM）技术用于解决损坏的定位问题。最后,将本论文的方法应用于砌体结构墙体的损伤评估,对具有不同网络参数的多个模型在训练、测试和验证集结果进行了对比分析,并给出了基于GradCAM注意力机制的损伤定位图。结果表明,所提出模型的整体性能在表征和定位损伤方面表现出良好的一致性和鲁棒性。论文的结果证明了该模型在实际应用中的可行性。

ACL femoral avulsion repair using suture pull-out technique: A case series of thirteen patients

Purpose:Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair was first described in the mid 1900's. However, due to poorly selected patients led to unsatisfactory early results. We aim to study the outcome of ACL repair in a carefully selected ***:Thirteen consecutive patients of acute Type 1 (proximal ACL avulsion) were treated with arthroscopic ACL repair using a suture pull out technique. At the latest follow-up the patients were evaluated for Lysholm score, KT-1000 measurement and clinical assessment for any ***:At a mean follow-up of 31.3 months, none of the patients had any subjective laxity. The mean Lysholm score was 95 and instrumented laxity measurement did not reveal any significant laxity compared to the opposite ***:The proximal ACL avulsion has healing potential similar to proximal MCL injuries. Performing microfracture of the lateral wall of the notch optimizes the healing environment by negating the effects of the synovial fluid. Performing ACL repair in a carefully selected patient leads to good short term results and saves the patient of a reconstruction procedure, at least in the immediate future.

AIM To evaluate the role of zinc as add on treatment to the "recommended treatment" of nephrotic syndrome(NS)in *** All the published literature through the major databases including IVledline/Pubmed,Embase,and Google Scholar were searched till 31 st December *** lists from the articles were reviewed to identify additional pertinent *** papers concerning the role of zinc in childhood NS were reviewed by the authors,and the data were extracted using a standardized data collection *** trials(RCTs) comparing zinc vs placebo was *** of zinc was studied in both steroid sensitive and steroid dependent/frequent relapsing *** primary outcome measure was the risk of relapse in 12 *** secondary outcome measures were mean relapse rate per patient in 12 mo,mean relapse rate per patient in 6 mo,risk of infection associated relapse in 12 mo,cumulative dose of steroids in two groups,mean length of time to next relapse,adverse effects of therapy,and change in serum zinc *** Of 54 citations retrieved,a total of 6 RCTs were *** was used at a dose of 10-20 mg/d,for the duration that varied from 6-12 *** to placebo,zinc reduced the frequency of relapses,induced sustained remission/no relapse,reduced the proportion of infection episodes associated with relapse with a mild adverse event in the form of metallic *** GRADE evidence generated was of "very low-quality".CONCLUSION Zinc may be a useful additive in the treatment of childhood *** evidence generated mostly was of "very low-quality".We need more good quality RCTs in different country setting as well different subgroups of children before any firm recommendation can be made.

Economic Contribution of Forestry Sector to National Economy in Nepal

Forests are major sources of energy,timber and non-timber forest products,medicinal and aromatic plants,hydrological functions,biodiversity conservation,and also fundamental sources of revenue collection to the *** indicate that forests could significantly enhance economic growth and create employment opportunities for local communities under intensive *** paper aims to predict the contribution of the forest sector to the national *** economic facets of forestry considered in this paper are revenue generated from timber,non-timber forest products(NTFPs)and medicinal and aromatic plants(MAPs),and protected *** ARIMA model was used to forecast the economic contribution of the forestry *** study found that the total revenue generated from the selling of timber and fuelwood(USD 50.19 million)was higher than the total revenue collected from protected areas(USD 37.58 million)and NTFPs/MAPs(USD 6.9 million)in the past 15 *** model projected that the mean revenue for the timber and fuelwood sale will USD 3.5 million for the next ten ***,the mean revenue will be generated about USD 0.5 million and USD 6.2 million from NTFPs/MAPs and protected areas,respectively,for the next ten *** study limits to take account the in-kind use of forest products such as timber,fodder,fuelwood,etc.,as used by community people within a forest users’***,practicing sustainable forest management,enabling policy documents,establishing forest-based industries,establishing forestry nurseries,conducting agroforestry practices,and tenure security could enhance the forestry sector’s economic aspects.

Mini versus ultra-mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy in a paediatric population

Objective:To evaluate whether there would be a difference in outcome when the smaller ultra-mini 12 Fr sheath was used instead of the mini 16 Fr sheath for percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)in paediatric patients for stones less than 25 ***:This was a prospective cohort study of patients who underwent PCNL in our hospital in a 2-year period from July 2016 to June 2018 by a single *** was performed in a prone position and tract was dilated to the respective size using single step *** was used to fragment the ***-free outcome was defined as absence of stone fragment at 3 months on kidney,ureter,and bladder ***:There were 40 patients in each *** stone size was comparable between the two groups(14.5 mm vs.15.0 mm).The procedure was completed faster in the 16 Fr group compared to 12 Fr group(24.5 min vs.34.6 min).Stone clearance was highly successful in both groups(97.5%vs.95.0%).There was no difference in complications between the two *** decrease in hemoglobin was minimal in both groups(0.2 g/dL vs.0.3 g/dL).Conclusion:We found that the success rates were similar in both mini PCNL and the smaller ultra-mini PCNL *** significant difference in bleeding was noted in our pilot study,however,operative time was longer in the ultra-mini group as compared to the mini sheath group.
