Primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC) is an autoimmune disease of the liver characterized by progressive bile duct destruction eventually leading to cirrhosis and liver *** serological hallmark of the disease is the presence of circulating antimitochondrial antibodies(AMA).These reflect the presence of autoreactive T and B cells to the culprit antigens,the E2 subunits of mitochondrial 2-oxo-acid dehydrogenase enzymes,chiefly pyruvate dehydrogenase(PDC-E2).The disease results from a combination of genetic and environmental risk *** predisposition is indicated by the higher familial incidence of the disease particularly among siblings and the high concordance rate among monozygotic *** triggering events appear crucial to disrupt a pre-existing unstable immune tolerance of genetic origin allowing,after a long latency,the emergence of clinical *** mimetopes of the vulnerable epitope of the PDC-E2 autoantigen can be derived from microbes that utilize the PDC enzyme or,alternatively,environmental xenobiotics/chemical compounds that modify the structure of native proteins to make them immunogenic.A further alternative as a source of antigen is PDC-E2 derived from apoptotic *** the effector phase the biliary ductular cell,by reason of itsproclivity to express the antigen PDC-E2 in the course of apoptosis,undergoes a multilineage immune attack comprised of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells and *** this article,we critically review the available evidence on etiopathogenesis of PBC and present interpretations of complex data,new developments and theories,and nominate directions for future research.

The adaptive immune system produces a large and diverse set of antibodies,each with an individual evolutionary and clonal *** so called"antibody repertoire"protects each individual against insults such as infection and cancer,and responds to vaccination with B cell proliferation in response to the antigenic *** and antigen-specific FACSbased analysis have given us much insight on how the immune system generates the complex and diverse immune response required to protect the body from the wide variety of potential ***,these methods have not been sufficient to make global and unbiased characterizations of the clonal structure of the immune system of a particular individual。

Water samples were collected over P. ponchetii bloom period beginning in November 1988, in 15m water column, from 10km offshore of davis Station, Vestfold Hill, Antarctica. The concentrations of acrylic acid and dimethyl sulphide (DMS), which are toxic compounds in the water samples, were determined by HPLC and GC. The result shows that the concentration of acrylic acid varies in 0. 001 - 0. 510μmol ?L-1 and the concentration of DMS in 0. 003-0. 588 μmol ?L-1 during P. pouchetii bloom. Both the increased since late December 1988 and reached the highest concentration in early January 1989, then they decreased rapidly and returned to lower level from middle January to February in agreement with variation in cell number of the unicell alga P. pouchetii. The correlation coefficients between acrylic acid and P. pouchetii and between DMS and P. pouchetii are all 0. 998. It is undoubted that P. pouchetii produced acrylic acid and DMS. The highest productivity of acrylic acid and DMS were 9. 76X 10-8 umol cell-1 and 13. 09 ×10-8 μmol ?cell-1, respectively, during P. pouchelii bloom. A cellular product, dimethylsulphonium propionate (DMSP), is decomposed into acrylic acid and DMS, and the formation of DMSP is probably from methionine which could be utilized by P. pouchelii.

C语言是计算机程序设计入门教学中最流行也较难学的编程语言之一。本文介绍的Ch是一个面向交互式教学的跨平台C/C++解释计算环境,是一个完整的C语言解释器,支持最新C语言标准C99中大部分的新增特性以及C++的类,由交互式命令外壳(command shell)和教学专用且界面友好的集成开发环境(ChIDE)两大模块构成。Ch支持计算数组(computational array),提供了图形绘制库和高级数值函数库,能够方便快捷地解决许多工程和科学方面的复杂问题。在Windows系统中,Ch计算环境支持常用的Unix和Linux命令,帮助学生在熟悉的Windows环境中学习Unix和Linux。Ch还可以作为引擎脚本无缝地嵌入到编译的程序中,实现柔性编程。本文最后概括性地介绍了笔者在美国加州大学戴维斯分校多年教学实践中开发并使用的一套基于Ch的C程序设计教学平台。教学实践表明,使用这个平台在相当程度上提高了计算机程序设计教学的实用性、授课效果和学生学习的积极性,帮助学生充分理解和掌握计算机程序设计这一工程和科学领域的重要基本技能。
