Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a prevalent and aggressive liver *** interplay between bile acids(BAs)and the gut microbiota has emerged as a critical factor in HCC development and *** normal conditions,BA metabolism is tightly regulated through a bidirectional interplay between gut microorganisms and *** gut microbiota plays a critical role in BA metabolism,and BAs are endogenous signaling molecules that help maintain liver and intestinal *** note,dysbiotic changes in the gut microbiota during pathogenesis and cancer development can disrupt BA homeostasis,thereby leading to liver inflammation and fibrosis,and ultimately contributing to HCC ***,understanding the intricate interplay between BAs and the gut microbiota is crucial for elucidating the mechanisms underlying *** this review,we comprehensively explore the roles and functions of BA metabolism,with a focus on the interactions between BAs and gut microorganisms in ***,therapeutic strategies targeting BA metabolism and the gut microbiota are discussed,including the use of BA agonists/antagonists,probiotic/prebiotic and dietary interventions,fecal microbiota transplantation,and engineered *** summary,understanding the complex BA-microbiota crosstalk can provide valuable insights into HCC development and facilitate the development of innovative therapeutic approaches for liver malignancy.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)is a severe form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease without effective *** traditional Chinese medicine formulation Pien Tze huang(PTH)can suppress inflammatory ***,we evaluate the effects of PTH on the evolution of NASH and its underlying *** found that PTH prevented the development of steatohepatitis induced by various dietary models,including a high-fat high-cholesterol(HFHC)diet,choline-deficient high-fat diet(CD-HFD),and methionine-and choline-deficient(MCD)diet,along with significant suppression of liver injury,hepatic triglyceride,and lipid ***,ten days of PTH treatment after the onset of NASH significantly ameliorated MCD diet-induced steatosis and liver injury in *** the metagenomic sequencing of stool samples,we found that PTH administration restored the gut microbiota with enrichment of probiotics including Lactobacillus acidophilus(***),Lactobacillus plantarum,Lactococcus lactis,and Bacillus *** enriched *** prevented MCD diet-induced *** addition,PTH restored the gut barrier function in mice with steatohepatitis,as evidenced by reduced intestinal permeability,decreased serum lipopolysaccharides(LPS)level,and increased epithelial tightjunction protein E-cadherin *** metabolomic analysis via liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry profiling identified the alteration in the metabolism of bile acids in the portal vein of PTHtreated *** further confirmed that an intact gut microbiota is necessary for PTH to exhibit antisteatohepatitis *** conclusion,PTH protects against steatohepatitis development by modulating the gut microbiota and *** is a potential promising prophylactic and therapeutic option for patients with NASH.

The effect of ionospheric delay on the ground-based augmentation system under normal conditions can be mitigated by determining the value of the nominal ionospheric gradient(σvig).The nominal ionospheric gradient is generally obtained from Continuously Operating Reference Stations data by using the spatial single-difference method(mixed-pair,station-pair,or satellite-pair)or the temporal single-difference method(time-step).The time-step method uses only a single receiver,but it still contains ionospheric temporal *** introduce a corrected time-step method using a fixed-ionospheric pierce point from the geostationary equatorial orbit satellite and test it through simulations based on the global ionospheric *** also investigate the effect of satellite paths on the corrected time-step method in the region of the equator,which tends to be in a more north–south direction and to have less coverage for the east–west ionospheric *** study also addresses the limitations of temporal variation correction coverage and recommends using only the correction from *** processes are developed under simulations because observational data are still difficult to *** findings demonstrate that the corrected time-step method yieldsσvig values consistent with other approaches.

BACKGROUND Alopecia areata is a hair loss disease associated with genetics,autoimmunity,and other *** is an intriguing link between alopecia areata and gut *** microbiota transplantation(FMT)has been recommended to treat Clostridium difficile(previously known as Clostridioides difficile)infection,and has also shown potentials in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease,irritable bowel syndrome,and non-alcohol fatty liver *** SUMMARY An 86-year-old man,with a history of sigmoid colon carcinoma,suffered from recurrent abdominal pain and distension,and diarrhea for six months,with *** admission,he was also diagnosed with *** physical examination,the patient presented with a 1.5 cm×2.0 cm alopecia areata on his right *** to the negative results of laboratory testing,capsule endoscopy,and colonoscopy,the patient was diagnosed with noninfectious diarrhea,depressive disorder,and patchy alopecia *** that noninfectious diarrhea in the elderly patient was mainly caused by gut dysbiosis,he was given six rounds of *** diarrhea improved remarkably one month after FMT,with improved appetite and disappearance of abdominal pain,distension,and depressive ***,he reported new hair growth on the affected region of his scalp,with some of his white hair gradually turning to black,without taking any other therapies for alopecia areata before and after *** FMT might act as a potential therapy for patients who suffer from alopecia *** and well-designed studies are required to confirm the role of FMT in alopecia areata.
