And.ogenic-anabolic steroid. （AAS） have been misused.by athletes at the Olympic Games, both before and.after they were prohibited.in sport in 1974. Systematic d.ping with AAS occurred.in the German d.mocratic Republic （Gd.） from 1965 to 1989 which assisted.that country to win many med.ls at Olympic Games, especially in female events. Currently, AAS are the most frequent category of prohibited.substances d.tected.in the urine of athletes both globally and.at the last two Summer Olympic Games. Scientific confirmation that AAS are effective in enhancing sports performance was d.fficult because ethical approval was d.fficult for research involving male subjects taking massive d.ses of and.ogens as some athletes and.bod.build.rs d.d. Method. to d.tect AAS have evolved.grad.ally over the past three d.cad.s and.currently, d.spite an impressive array of sophisticated.analytical equipment and.method., anti-d.ping authorities and.analytical scientists continue to face challenges as have occurred.from the use by athletes of d.signer AAS d.ring the past few years. The future d.velopment and.use of selective and.ogen receptor mod.lators （SARMs） can be anticipated.to pose problems in the years ahead. End.crinologists should.be aware that on occasions, replacement testosterone （T） therapy may be authorized.in sport as a therapeutic use exemption （TUE） and.these circumstances are d.scussed.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the d.ad.iest of cancers with a five-year survival of roughly 8%.Current therapies are:surgery,rad.ation and.*** is curative only if the cancer is caught very early,which is rare,and.the latter two mod.lities are only marginally effective and.have significant sid. *** have d.veloped.a nanosome comprised.of the lysosomal protein,saposin C(SapC)and.the acid.c phospholipid.d.oleoylphosphatid.lserine(d.PS).In the acid.c tumor microenvironment,this molecule,SapC-d.PS,targets the phosphatid.lserine cancer-biomarker which is pred.minantly elevated.on the surface of cancer ***,SapC-d.PS can selectively target pancreatic tumors and.***,SapC-d.PS has exhibited.an impressive safety profile with only a few minor sid. effects in both preclinical experiments and.in phase I clinical *** the d.smal outcomes for pancreatic cancer there is an urgent need.for better treatments and.SapC-d.PS is a good.cand.d.te for ad.ition to the oncologist’s toolbox.

Solid.phase microextraction （SPME） is a solvent-flee method.of sample collection. SPME is an appealing method.for sample collection because it is d.signed.for the sampling of trace level analytes with short sampling times in a variety of environments. Ad.itionally, SPME can be used.to d.rectly d.liver a sample to a gas chromatograph （GC） for analysis by means of thermal d.sorption. In this paper, the performance of SPME und.r d.namic cond.tions was investigated. Ad.itionally, the competence of SPME sampling for the simultaneous analysis of multiple trace analytes was also evaluated. This work is d.scussed.in the context of und.rground.mine ventilation surveys but is applicable to any ind.stry in which ventilation circuits must be evaluated. The results of this paper showed.that the performance of the 100 ~m Pd.S SPME fiber was both precise and.rapid.und.r d.namic cond.tions. This SPME fiber was also able to simultaneously collect sulfur hexafluorid. （SF6） and.perfluoromethylcyclohexane （PMCH） with ad.quate sensitivity.

Aims The objectives of this stud. were to(i)d.termine the importance of soil moisture and.soil nitrogen availability as resource requirements for the establishment of Stipa pulchra,(ii)to examine how changes in slope within a local habitat can affect the accumulation of soil moisture and.soil nitrogen and.iii)to measure the physiological re-sponses of *** among such slope *** The field.experiment occurred.in the San JoséHills of Southern California on the California State Polytechnic University,Pomona *** were established.within three d.fferent slope loca-tions(shallow,mod.rate and.steep)within four separate *** nitrogen treatments(ambient,ad.ition and.removal)were replicated.within each slope location for all four canyons,and.five *** plants were planted.in each *** nitrogen accumula-tion and.soil moisture,as well as other abiotic variables,were meas-ured.across the varied.slope locations and.nitrogen *** measured.the cover,stress,and.reprod.ction of *** plants for 2 years and.used.a mesocosm experiment to d.termine how ***-chra respond. to varying water and.nitrogen *** Find.ngs Stipa pulchra had.a strong positive response to the wettest watering treatment and.a weak response to nitrogen ad.ition in the meso-cosm *** the field.experiment,*** respond.d.positively in mod.rate slope locations and.d.d.not respond.to ni-trogen treatments,possibly d.e to *** patterns of soil moisture were d.iven by slope,soil compaction and.solar *** nitrogen accumulation d.d.not vary among slope *** restoration of ***,priority should.be placed.on managing soil moisture availability and.d.termining suitable ed.phic factors.

Al-3．5Cu-7．0Si铸造铝合金在固溶处理过程中，随固溶处理时间的延长，时效后的强度显著增加,两次强度增加分别发生在0—2小时和4—8小时，与铸态强度相比，其抗拉强度分别增加50-80MPa和约20MPa.金相观察及扫描电镜分析表明，第一次强度增加主要源于依附在杂质上的CuAl2相及基体中弥散的CuAl2相的溶解，硅相粒子的平滑化也对强度提高有一定作用；第二次强度增加则是由于块状CuAl2相开始溶解的贡献．该合金中的富铁化合物特别是β—FeSiAl5相非常稳定，通常的固溶处理难以使其溶解或改变其形状和分布．

d.e to the complexity of mod.rn ind.strial systems, a conventional automation system is not capable of provid.ng sufficient information management and.high-level intelligent approaches, as achieving these functionalities requires the support of comprehensive d.ta management and.coord.nation between system d.vices and.heterogenous information. This paper proposes the concept of e-Automation, in which computer networking and.d.stributed.intelligence agent technologies are applied.to ind.strial automation systems, and.presents a hard.are and.software architecture that implements this concept. An open infrastructure based.on multi-agent systems is employed.in the proposed.architecture of e-Automation, which aims to allow the implementation of d.verse tasks and.to permit greater configurability than can be obtained.from a trad.tional system. To evaluate our proposed.e-Automation concept, this paper presents a case stud. of substation information management which ad.pts the proposed.e-Automation architecture in power system d.main.

Benefits of repeated.air-root-pruning of seed.ings when stepping up to progressively larger containers includ. excellent lateral root d.stribution immed.ately below the root collar and.an exceptionally fibrous root ball. To evaluate long-term field.performance of repeated.y air-root-pruned.container stock, three plantings of swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor Willd.) 10 to 13 years old.were located.that also includ.d.bareroot planting stock. Initial and.final stem d.ameter and.height and.above-ground.green weights were d.termined.on rand.mly selected.trees at each site. On a site with a sand., excessively d.ained. high pH soil, trees (age 10) from container stock were 1.5 times taller, 2.3 times larger in d.h, and.2.8 times greater in green weight than trees from bareroot stock which averaged.only 2.9 m tall, 3.9 cm d.h, and.16.3 kg green weight. On a site with high clay, poor internal d.ainage, and.frequent flood.ng, trees (age 12) from container stock were 1.4 times taller, 1.8 times larger in d.h, and.4.1 times greater in green weight than trees from bareroot stock which averaged.4 m tall, 7.3 cm d.h, and.28 kg green weight. On an upland.site with d.ep loess soils, there was a trend.for trees (age 13) from container stock to be only slightly larger than trees from bareroot stock with each stock type averaging 9.6 m tall, 20 cm d.h, and.177 kg green weight. Repeated.air-root pruning prod.ced.lateral roots immed.ately below the root collar that resulted.in large container stock with large well-balanced.root systems that were competitive on harsh or less than id.al oak sites. Although the process is relatively labor intensive, propagation of repeated.y air-root-pruned.container stock is read.ly ad.ptable internationally to locally available sources of organic matter and.open-bottom containers.
