Traumatic brain injury （TBI） results in a range of neuroinflam- matory events that vary depending on the type and extent of in- jury. Central to this is the activation of tissue resident microglia and infiltration of peripheral macrophages, which phagocytose debris and/or secrete a range of cytokines, chemokines and oth- er factors which modify the injured environment to promote or inhibit repair （schwartz et al., 2013）. The reactive macro- phages/microglia are broadly divided into two categories.

synthesis and Characterization of <i>Citrus limonum</i>Essential Oil Based Nanoemulsion and Its Enhanced Antioxidant Activity with stability for Transdermal Application

Lemon oil (LO), also known as Citrus limonum is a highly volatile essential oil (EO) with potential therapeutic properties like anti-oxidative, anti-proliferative, anti-fungal and anti-cancerous. However, the efficacy of LO is limited due to its physiological factors such as high volatility, poor stability (particularly sensitive to sunlight) and quick degradability upon exposure. To overcome these challenges, we formulated lemon oil loaded nanoemulsion system (LO-NE) (oil-in-water), using aqueous titration method. The formulation comprised of lemon oil (LO), Tween 80 and ethanol as oil, surfactant and co-surfactant phases respectively. The existence zone of NE was established by constructing pseudo-ternary phase diagrams using different concentrations of LO, surfactant and co-surfactant (ssub>mixsub>). The quantitative estimation of LO was performed using a high throughput gas chromatography, revealing the presence of various compounds like Limonene, Alpha-Pinene and Linalyl acetate followed by the estimation of total phenolics and flavonoid content. The characterization of LO-NE indicated the particle size of 60 ± 2.5 nm along with the polydispersity index of 0.125 and zeta potential of −14.9 mV. The size range of the NE particles dispersed in the colloidal system was further verified by TEM micrograph which shows size range between 46.2 - 104.7 nm. All the anti-oxidant assays outcomes exhibited the higher activity of LO-NE in comparison to LO alone with lower ICsub>50sub> values. The release kinetics statistical data showed that LO-NE had a sustained release and followed the Higuchi’s model in comparison to burst release of LO alone. Lastly, the stability analysis of the optimised formulation (LO-NE) and LO was estimated through antioxidant assay and subjecting them for thermodynamic stability after 6 months. Comparison of efficacy of metformin and D-chiro-inositol on clinical biomarkers in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome:an open label study

Objective:Polycystic ovary syndrome(Pcos)is a pathophysiological disorder affecting reproductive and metabolic indices in *** present study was designed to compare the efficacy of metformin and D-chiroinositol in Pcos ***:In a tertiary care hospital in North India,prospective observational research was undertaken on 1o0 patients with PCOs,which was diagnosed based on European society of Human Reproduction and Embryology Guidelines and ultrasound of lower *** study involves various clinical characteristics into consideration for the determination of statistical significance(Ps ***'s t-test along with the association between PCOs and patients taking metformin and D-chiro-inositol,as well as their impact on various biochemical parameters,were investigated finally using Pearson Correlation ***:This study comprises 50 patients taking metformin and 50 patients taking D-chiro-inositol in women suffering from *** mass index(BMI)and waist-to-hip ratio(WHR)were statistically significant(Ps of both metformin and *** parameters such as luteinizing hormone(LH),follicle stimulating hormone(FsH),anti-mullerian hormone(AMH)and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)were found to be statistically significant(PsH and AMH(14.40±0.52;14.28±0.53;1.99±0.10)were comparatively lower in patients taking D-chiro-inositol as compared to metformin group(14.17±0.42;19.88±1.01;2.61±0.04).HbA1c(3.71±0.08)with Ps found to be decreased more in metformin group as compared to patients taking D-chiro-inositol(4.90±0.09).A positive correlation was found between HbAlc and LH in metformin,&HbAlc and FsH in D-chiro-inositol groups,***:The results indicate that D-chiro-inositol shows better results in reducing clinical variables involved in causing PCOs as compared to metformin whereas metformin has better glycemic control in PCOs patients.

在不同生长阶段采集basrai香蕉的第三片叶,分析各种养分的浓度。叶片N、P、K、Mg、Fe、Mn和Zn含量与果实产量有很大的关系。在瑙萨里试验点,N、K、Mg、Fe、Mn和Zn含量与产量的相关程度较高,而在根代维试验点,仅P和Mn两种养分有此种相关关系。在所有的情况下,不同生长阶段的养分状况可以解释这种相关关系的70％以上。
