Free amino acid(FAA)is the important component of vinegar that infl uences quality perception and consumer *** is one of the major metabolites produced by microorganisms;however,the microbial metabolic network on FAA biosynthesis remains *** metagenomic analysis,this work aimed to elucidate the roles of microbes in FAA biosynthesis during Monascus rice vinegar *** profiles from functional analyses showed 14 dominant genera with high contributions to the metabolism *** metabolic network for FAA biosynthesis was then constructed,and the microbial distribution in different metabolic pathways was *** results revealed that 5 functional genera were closely involved in FAA *** study illuminated the metabolic roles of microorganisms in FAA biosynthesis and provided crucial insights into the functional attributes of microbiota in vinegar fermentation.

Previous studies through targeted mutagenesis of K-D-K-E motif have demonstrated that 2′-O-MTase activity is essential for efficient viral replication and immune ***,the K-D-K-E catalytic motif of 2′-O-MTase is highly conserved across numerous viruses,including flaviviruses,vaccinia viruses,coronaviruses,and extends even to ***,we observed a stronger 2′-O-MTase activity in SARS-CoV-2 compared to SARS-CoV,despite the presence of a consistently active catalytic *** further identified critical residues(Leu-36,Asn-138 and Ile-153)which served as determinants of discrepancy in 2′-O-MTase activity between SARS-CoV-2 and *** residues significantly enhanced the RNA binding affinity of 2′-O-MTase and boosted its versatility toward RNA *** interest,a triple substitution(Leu^(36)→Ile^(36),Asn^(138)→His^(138),Ile^(153)→Leu^(153),from SARS-CoV-2 to SARS-CoV)within nsp16 resulted in a proportional reduction in viral 2′-O-methylation and impaired viral ***,it led to a significant upregulation of type I interferon(IFN-I)and proinflammatory cytokines both in vitro and vivo,relying on the cooperative sensing of melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5(MDA5)and laboratory of genetics and physiology 2(LGP2).In conclusion,our findings demonstrated that alterations in residues other than K-D-K-E of 2′-O-MTase may affect viral replication and subsequently influence *** changes in nsp16 residues is crucial as it may aid in identifying and assessing future alteration in viral pathogenicity resulting from natural mutations occurring in nsp16.

The Central and Southern South China Sea(CSSCS) has a complex tectonic dynamic background and abundant oil and gas resources, which has always been a hot topic of academic and industrial ***, systematic analyses are still lacking regarding its sediment filling structure and evolution, mostly due to limited borehole penetration and poor quality of seismic reflection data for deeply buried sequences. No consensus has been reached yet on the sedimentary infilling processes, which impeded the reconstruction of the palaeogeography of Southeast Asia and the oil-and-gas exploration undertakings. Here, we illustrate the Cenozoic sedimentary evolution of the CSSCS region by synthesizing relevant data from previous literature and our own observations and displaying the evolution of depositional systems in sequential reconstructions. Besides, the controlling factors of preferred sedimentary scenarios in the CSSCS incorporate the latest interpretations of the spreading of South China Sea(SCS) as well as the demise of the hypothetical Proto-South China Sea(PSCS). The results show that there are three types of sedimentary basins in the CSSCS(foreland,strike-slip, and rift basins) with different sedimentary filling structures. The foreland basins formed a depositional pattern of ‘transition from deep water to shallow water environments', dominated by deep-water depositional systems which were formed before the Early Oligocene with submarine fans developed. Later,the foreland basins were gradually dominated by shallow-water depositional systems with deltas and shallow marine facies. The strike-slip basins showed the depositional architecture of ‘transition from lake to marine environments', i.e. the basins were dominated by lacustrine deposits during the Eocene and evolved into the marine depositional environment since Oligocene with delta developed in the western part of the basin. Developing low-loading single-atom catalysts with superior catalytic activity and selectivity in formaldehyde(HCHO)oxidation at room temperature remains ***,ZrO_(2)nanoparticles coupled low-loading Ir single atoms in N-doped carbon(Ir_(1)-N-C/ZrO_(2))was *** optimal Ir_(1)-N-C/ZrO_(2)with 0.25 wt%Ir loading delivers the high HCHO removal and conversion efficiency(>95%)at 20℃,which is higher than that over Ir_(1)-N-C with the same Ir *** specific rate can reach 1285.6 mmol gIr^(-1)h^(-1),surpassing the Ir based catalysts reported to *** functional theory calculation results and electron spin resonance spectra indicate that the introduction of Zr O_(2)nanoparticles modulate the electronic structure of the Ir single atoms,promoting O_(2)activation to·O_(2)^(–).Moreover,the Ir-C-Zr channel is favorable for the dissociation of·O_(2)^(–)to active oxygen atom(*O),and further accelerates the transformation of HCHO and intermediates(dioxymethylene and formates)to CO_(2)and H_(2)*** work provides a facile strategy to design low-loading single-atom catalysts with high catalytic activity toward HCHO oxidation.
