Hard carbon （HC） has emerged as one of the superior anode materials for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）,with its electrochemical performance significantly influenced by the presence of oxygen functional groups and its closed pore ***,current research on the structural adjustment of these oxygen functional groups and the closed pore architecture within HC remains ***,energy-efficient and contamination-free spark plasma sintering technology was employed to tune the structure of coconut-shell HC,resulting in significant adjustments to the content of carboxyl （decreasing from 5.71 at%to 2.12 at%） and hydroxyl groups （decreasing from 7.73 at % to 6.26 at%）.Crucially,these modifications reduced the irreversible reaction of oxygen functional groups with Na+.Simultaneously,a substantial number of closed pores with an average diameter of 1.22 nm were generated within the HC,offering an ideal environment for efficient Na+*** structural changes resulted in a remarkable improvement in the electrochemical performance of the modified *** reversible specific capacity of the modified HC surged from 73.89 mAh·g-1to an impressive 251.97 m Ah·g-1at a current density of 50 mA·*** at 400 mA·g-1,the reversible specific capacity increased significantly from 14.55 to 85.44 mAh·***,this study provides a novel perspective for designing tailored HC materials with the potential to develop high-performance SIBs.

The solubility of H_(2)S was measured in solutions of N-butyl-N-methylmorpholine acetate([Bmmorp][Ac])containing 20%-40%(mass)water at experimental temperatures ranged from 298.15 to 328.15 K and pressures up to 320 k *** total solubility of H_(2)S increased with higher temperatures,lower pressures,and reduced water *** reaction equilibrium thermodynamic model was used to correlate the solubility *** results indicate that the chemical reaction equilibrium constant decrease with increasing water content and temperature,whereas Henry constant increase with increasing water content and *** with other ionic liquids,H_(2)S exhibits a higher physical absorption enthalpy and a lower chemical absorption enthalpy in[Bmmorp][Ac]aqueous *** suggests that[Bmmorp][Ac]has a strong physical affinity for H_(2)S and low energy requirement for *** chemical methods were used to investigate the molecular mechanism of H_(2)S absorption in ionic *** interaction energy analysis revealed that the binding of H_(2)S with the ionic liquid in a1:2 ratio is more *** analyses by the methods of the interaction region indicator and the atoms in molecules were conducted to the interactions between H_(2)S and the ionic liquid.

This letter discusses the publication by Feng et ***,selenium,and vitamin D are closely associated with thyroid hormone production in humans;however,the efficacy of selenium and vitamin D supplementation for type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis(HT)remains *** the retrospective study we discuss herein,the authors highlighted significant improvements in thyroid function,thyroid antibodies,blood glucose,and blood lipid in T2DM patients with HT following addition of vitamin D and selenium to their antidiabetic regimens,underscoring the value of these *** team is currently engaged in research exploring the relationship between micronutrients and HT,and we have obtained invaluable insights from the aforementioned *** on this research and current literature,we recommend a regimen of 4000 IU/day of vitamin D and 100-200μg/day of selenium for over three months to six months for patients with HT,particularly for those with concurrent T2DM.

High-timing-precision detection of single X-ray photons by superconducting nanowires

Precisely acquiring the timing information of individual X-ray photons is important in both fundamental research and practical applications. The timing precision of commonly used X-ray single-photon detectors remains in the range of one hundred picoseconds to microseconds. In this work, we report on high-timing-precision detection of single X-ray photons through the fast transition to the normal state from the superconductive state of superconducting nanowires. We successfully demonstrate a free-running X-ray single-photon detector with a timing resolution of 20.1 ps made of 100-nm-thick niobium nitride film with an active area of 50 μm by 50 μm. By using a repeated differential timing measurement on two adjacent X-ray single-photon detectors, we demonstrate a precision of 0.87 ps in the arrival-time difference of X-ray photon measurements. Therefore, our work significantly enhances the timing precision in X-ray photon counting, opening a new niche for ultrafast X-ray photonics and many associated applications.

This paper concerns a global optimality principle for fully coupled mean-field control *** the first-order and the second-order variational equations are fully coupled mean-field linear FBSDEs. A new linear relation is introduced, with which we successfully decouple the fully coupled first-order variational equations. We give a new second-order expansion of Y^(ε) that can work well in mean-field framework. Based on this result, the stochastic maximum principle is proved. The comparison with the stochastic maximum principle for controlled mean-field stochastic differential equations is supplied.

Semiconductor epitaxial growth is the front-end process for manufacturing microelectronic and optoelectronic *** beam epitaxy(MBE),capable of precisely controlling atomic layer deposition,has emerged as a crucial technique in chip atomic-level manufacturing[1].However,in semiconductor epitaxy,the heterogeneous nature of materials is complicated,and the growth condition fluctuations poses significant challenges in defect suppression[2],substantially impacting chip performance and yield.
