The large-scale use of ample marine energy will be one of the most important ways for human to achieve sustainable development through carbon neutral development *** a burgeoning technological method for electromechanical conversion,triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)has significant advantages in marine energy for its low weight,cost-effectiveness,and high efficiency in low-frequency *** can realize the efficient and economical harvesting of low-frequency blue energy by constructing the floating marine energy harvesting *** paper firstly introduces the power transfer process and structural composition of TENG for marine energy harvesting in *** addition,the latest research works of TENG on marine energy harvesting in basic research and structural design are systematically reviewed by ***,the advanced research progress in the power take-off types and engineering study of TENG with the marine energy are comprehensively ***,the challenges and problems faced by TENG in marine energy and in situ electrochemical application are summarized and the corresponding prospects and suggestions are proposed for the subsequent development direction and prospects to look forward to promoting the commercialization process of this field.

Size-fractionated particulate matter(PM_(2.5)and PM>_(2.5))was collected at a traffic site in Kanazawa,Japan in a seasonal sampling work in *** polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(4-to 6-ring PAHs)were determined in fine and coarse *** gas/particle partitioning coefficients(K_(p))of the PAHs were calculated from the supercooled liquid vapour pressure and octanol-air partitioning coefficient based on the relationships obtained in previous traffic pollution-related *** PAHs were estimated by K_(p) and the concentrations of PM and particulate *** concentrations of total PAHs were 32.5,320.1 and 5646.2 pg/m^(3) in the PM>_(2.5),PM_(2.5) and gas phases,*** seasonal trends in PAHs were observed(particle phase:lowest in summer,gas phase:lowest in spring,particle and gas phase:lowest in spring).Compared to 2019,the total PAH concentrations(in particles)decreased in 2020,especially in spring and summer,which might be due to reduced traffic trips during the COVID-19 *** incremental lifetime cancer risk(ILCR)calculated from the toxic equivalent concentrations relative to benzo[a]pyrene(BaP_(eq))was lower than the acceptable limit issued by the US Environmental Protection Agency,indicating a low cancer risk in long-term exposure to current PAH *** is notable that gaseous PAHs considerably contributed to BaP_(eq) and ILCR(over 50%),which highlighted the significance of gaseous PAH monitoring for public health *** low-cost estimation method for gaseous PAHs can be expected to reliably and conveniently obtain PAH concentrations as a surrogate for traditional sampling in the future work.

Developing a cost-effective and environmentally friendly process for the production of valuable chemicals from abundant herbal biomass receives great attentions in recent ***,taking advantage of the“lignin first”strategy,corn straw is converted to valuable chemicals including lignin monomers,furfural and 5-methoxymethylfurfural via a two steps *** key of this research lies in the development of a green and low-cost catalytic process utilizing magnetic Raney Ni catalyst and high boiling point ethylene *** utilization of neat ethylene glycol as the sole slovent under atmospheric conditions obviates the need for additional additives,thereby facilitating the entire process to be conducted in glass flasks and rendering it highly convenient for scaling *** the initial step,depolymerization of corn straw lignin resulted in a monomer yield of 18.1 wt%.Subsequently,in a dimethyl carbonate system,the carbohydrate component underwent complete conversion in a one-pot process,yielding furfural and 5-methoxymethylfurfural as the primary products with an impressive yield of 47.7%.

Conversion of CO_(2)back to hydrocarbons is the most direct way of closing the“carbon cycle”,and its significance is further enlarged if this process is driven by renewable energies such as ***,precisely controlling the product selectivity towards hydrocarbons against the competitive hydrogen evolution remains challenging,especially for Cu-based ***,we report a novel defect engineering strategy,by which Cu-doping-induced oxygen vacancies on CeO_(2)nanorods were effectively created,with adjustable vacancy/Cu *** resulting optimum catalyst shows up to 79%catalytic current density to hydrocarbons(excluding CO),with 49%faradaic efficiency to *** and density functional theory unveil that the ratio between oxygen vacancy and Cu affects significantly the formation of*CHO and activation of H2O,which leads to the following deep hydrogenation to *** findings may spur new insights for designing and developing more controllable chemical process relevant to CO_(2)utilization.

Present of wind power is sporadically and cannot be utilized as the only fundamental load of energy *** paper proposes a wind-solar hybrid energy storage system(HESS)to ensure a stable supply grid for a longer period.A multi-objective genetic algorithm(MOGA)and state of charge(SOC)region division for the batteries are introduced to solve the objective function and configuration of the system capacity,***/Simulink was used for simulation *** optimization results show that for a 0.5 MW wind power and 0.5 MW photovoltaic system,with a combination of a 300 Ah lithium battery,a 200 Ah lead-acid battery,and a water storage tank,the proposed strategy reduces the system construction cost by approximately 18,000 ***,the cycle count of the electrochemical energy storage systemincreases from4515 to 4660,while the depth of discharge decreases from 55.37%to 53.65%,achieving shallow charging and discharging,thereby extending battery life and reducing grid voltage fluctuations *** proposed strategy is a guide for stabilizing the grid connection of wind and solar power generation,capability allocation,and energy management of energy conservation systems.

The evaluation of toxicity related to polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans(PCDD/Fs)and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls(DL-PCBs)is crucial for a comprehensive risk assessment in real-world exposure *** study employed a controlled feeding experiment to investigate the metabolic effects of dioxin-like compounds(DLCs)on laying hens via feed *** enriched with two concentrations(1.17 and 5.13 pg toxic equivalents(TEQ)/g dry weight(dw))were administered over 14 days,followed by 28 days of clean *** analyses of blood samples revealed significant metabolic variations between PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs exposed groups and controls,reflecting the induced metabolic *** changes were observed in sphingosine,palmitoleic acid,linoleate,linolenic acid,taurocholic acid,indole acrylic acid,and dibutyl phthalate levels,implying possible connections between PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs toxic effects and energy-neuronal imbalances,along with lipid accumulation and anomalous amino acid metabolism,impacting taurine ***,we identified three differential endogenous metabolites—L-tryptophan,indole-3-acetaldehyde,and indole acrylic acid—as potential ligands for the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR),suggesting their role inmediating PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs *** comprehensive investigation provides novel insights into the metabolic alterations induced by PCDD/Fs and DL-PCBs in laying hens,thereby enhancing our ability to assess risks associated with their exposure in human populations.

Herein,an external crosslinker facilitated the hypercrosslinking of ferrocene and a nitrogen heterocyclic compound(either melamine or imidazole)through a direct Friedel-Crafts reaction,which led to the formation of nitrogen-containing hypercrosslinked fer-rocene polymer precursors(HCP-FCs).Subsequent carbonization of these precursors results in the production of iron-nitrogen-doped por-ous carbon absorbers(Fe-NPCs).The Fe-NPCs demonstrate a porous structure comprising aggregated nanotubes and *** porosity of this structure can be modulated by adjusting the iron and nitrogen contents to optimize impedance *** uniform dis-tribution of Fe-N_(x)C,N dipoles,andα-Fe within the carbon matrix can be ensured by using hypercrosslinked ferrocenes in constructing porous carbon,providing the absorber with numerous polarization sites and a conductive *** electromagnetic wave absorption performance of the specially designed Fe-NPC-M_(2)absorbers is satisfactory,revealing a minimum reflection loss of-55.3 dB at 2.5 mm and an effective absorption bandwidth of 6.00 GHz at 2.0 *** utilizing hypercrosslinked polymers(HCPs)as precursors,a novel method for developing highly efficient carbon-based absorbing agents is introduced in this research.

Wireless ultraviolet (UV) has strong scattering characteristics and can communicate through non-direct *** UV signals are transmitted in the atmosphere,they are affected by the absorption and scattering effects of atmospheric particles and atmospheric turbulence,resulting in attenuation of UV signal energy and reduced reliability of the communication *** paper focuses on the channel model of UV non-direct-view single scattering communication,and simulates and analyzes the communication characteristics of UV light in atmospheric turbulence and mixed aerosol environment under horizontal,vertical and oblique range communication *** results show that at equal relative humidity,the wireless UV non-directive scattering communication performance for vertical communication scenarios is more affected by the mixed aerosol environment and the communication performance is worse.
