Cancer,a complex and multifactorial disease,presents a significant challenge to global *** significant advances in surgical,radiotherapeutic and immunological approaches,which have improved cancer treatment outcomes,drug therapy continues to serve as a key therapeutic ***,the clinical efficacy of drug therapy is often constrained by drug resistance and severe toxic side effects,and thus there remains a critical need to develop novel cancer *** promising strategy that has received widespread attention in recent years is drug repurposing:the identification of new applications for existing,clinically approved *** repurposing possesses several inherent advantages in the context of cancer treatment since repurposed drugs are typically cost-effective,proven to be safe,and can significantly expedite the drug development process due to their already established safety *** light of this,the present review offers a comprehensive overview of the various methods employed in drug repurposing,specifically focusing on the repurposing of drugs to treat *** describe the antitumor properties of candidate drugs,and discuss in detail how they target both the hallmarks of cancer in tumor cells and the surrounding tumor *** addition,we examine the innovative strategy of integrating drug repurposing with nanotechnology to enhance topical drug *** also emphasize the critical role that repurposed drugs can play when used as part of a combination therapy *** conclude,we outline the challenges associated with repurposing drugs and consider the future prospects of these repurposed drugs transitioning into clinical application.

Vacancy engineering and Mott-Schottky heterostructure can accelerate charge transfer,regulate adsorption energy of reaction intermediates,and provide additional active sites,which are regarded as valid means for improving catalytic ***,the underlying mechanism of synergistic regulation of interfacial charge transfer and optimization of electrocatalytic activity by combining vacancy and Mott-Schottky junction remains ***,the growth of a bifunctional NiCo/NiCoP Mott-Schottky electrode with abundant phosphorus vacancies on foam nickel(NF)has been synthesized through continuous phosphating and reduction *** obtained NiCo/NiCoP heterojunctions show remarkable OER and HER activities,and the overpotentials for OER and HER are as low as 117 and 60 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2) in 1 mol/L KOH,***,as both the cathode and anode of overall water splitting,the voltage of the bifunctional NiCo/NiCoP electrocatalyst is 1.44 V at 10 mA/cm^(2),which are far exceeding the benchmark commercial *** theoretical calculation results confirm that the phosphorus vacancies and build-in electric field can effectively accelerate ion and electron transfer between NiCo alloy and NiCoP semiconductor,tailor the electronic structure of the metal centers and lower the Gibbs free energy of the ***,the unique self-supported integrated structure is beneficial to facilitate the exposure of the active site,avoid catalyst shedding,thus improving the activity and structural stability of NiCo/*** study provides an avenue for the controllable synthesis and performance optimization of Mott-Schottky electrocatalysts.

The accuracy of the simulation of carbon and water processes largely relies on the selection of atmospheric forcing datasets when driving land surface models(LSM).Particularly in high-altitude regions,choosing appropriate atmospheric forcing datasets can effectively reduce uncertainties in the LSM ***,this study conducted four offline LSM simulations over the Tibetan Plateau(TP)using the Community Land Model version 4.5(CLM4.5)driven by four state-of-the-art atmospheric forcing *** performances of CRUNCEP(CLM4.5 model default)and three other reanalysis-based atmospheric forcing datasets(***,GSWP3 and WFDEI)in simulating the net primary productivity(NPP)and actual evapotranspiration(ET)were evaluated based on in situ and gridded reference *** with in situ observations,simulated results exhibited determination coefficients(R2)ranging from 0.58 to 0.84 and 0.59 to 0.87 for observed NPP and ET,respectively,among which GSWP3 and ITPCAS showed superior *** the plateau level,CRUNCEP-based simulations displayed the largest bias compared with the reference NPP and ***3-based simulations demonstrated the best performance when comprehensively considering both the magnitudes and change trends of TP-averaged NPP and *** simulated ET increase over the TP during 1982-2010 based on ITPCAS was significantly greater than in the other three simulations and reference ET,suggesting that ITPCAS may not be appropriate for studying long-term ET changes over the *** results suggest that GSWP3 is recommended for driving CLM4.5 in conducting long-term carbon and water processes simulations over the *** study contributes to enhancing the accuracy of LSM in water-carbon simulations over alpine regions.

Photochromic materials with multicolor upconversion reversible modulations are attractive in optical switching ***,the fabricated YNbO_(4):Er^(3+)/Tm^(3+)/Yb^(3+) materials exhibit excellent photochromism and multicolor upconversion properties from green,red to near infrared(NIR) emissions with increasing Yb *** multiband upconversion modulations are achieved by alternating light(365 and 405 nm) or thermal *** 365 nm irradiation,the luminescence color changes from yellow to red,the luminescent photoswitching contrast reaches up to 86.21%(green),82.12%(red) and 77.38%(NIR) in the Y_(0.83)Er_(0.01)Tm_(0.01)NbO_(4):0.15 Yb ***,the upconversion emission intensity before and after photochromic reaction shows remarkable change in a wide temperature range of 298-718 *** results indicate that the Er^(3+)/Tm^(3+)/Yb^(3+) tri-doped YNbO_(4) materials can be a good candidate in optical switching and data storage applications.

The fabrication of ultrafine-grained microstructures(grain size below 1μm)in titanium alloys is beneficial for improving their mechanical properties at room temperature and medium tempera-tures(400-550°C).However,a long-standing challenge involves the low-cost manufacturing of bulk ultrafine-grained titanium *** this work,we developed a facile strategy through martensite de-composition at thermal-mechanical coupling conditions,to fabricate an equiaxed microstructure in a Ti6Al4Mo4Zr1W0.2Si model alloy with an averageαgrain size of 315±62 *** formation of the ultrafine-grained microstructure was because the lattice strain stored in the martensitic initial mi-crostructure enhanced the nucleation rate of dynamic recrystallization,meanwhile,the pinning role of martensite decomposition productsβand(Ti,Zr)_(5)Si_(3)phases suppressed grain coarsening at high *** to conventional(α+β)alloys,the tensile strength of this alloy improved by 20%-30%at both room temperature and 550°C,without decreasing its *** situ SEM observations revealed that the ultrafine-grained microstructure would not only suppress dislocation motions but also contribute to the homogenous deformation in the matrix of the material,therefore,it resulted in higher mechanical *** research results may be of great significance to the development of next-generation aviation titanium alloys.

In response to the ongoing energy crisis, advancing the field of electrocatalytic water splitting is of utmost significance, necessitating the urgent development of high-performance, cost-effective, and durable hydrogen evolution reaction catalysts. But the generated gas bubble adherence to the electrode surface and sluggish separation contribute to significant energy loss, primarily due to the insufficient exposure of active sites, thus substantially hindering electrochemical performance. Here, we successfully developed a superaerophobic catalytic electrode by loading phosphorus-doped nickel metal （NiPx） onto various conductive substrates via an electrodeposition method. The electrode exhibits a unique surface structure, characterized by prominent surface fissures, which not only exposes additional active sites but also endows the electrode with superaerophobic properties. The NiPx/Ti electrode demonstrates superior electrocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution reaction, significantly outperforming a platinum plate, displaying an overpotential of mere 216 mV to achieve a current density of-500 mA cm-2in 1 M KOH. Furthermore,the NiPx/Ti electrode manifests outstanding durability and robustness during continuous electrolysis, maintaining stability at a current density of-10 mA cm-2over a duration of 2000 h. Owing to the straightforward and scalable preparation methods, this highly efficient and stable NiPx/Ti electrocatalyst offers a novel strategy for the development of industrial water electrolysis.

Sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus is an ideal model organism for marine invertebrate aestivation;it annually enters a“sleeping state”for nearly 3 months when ambient water temperature range is 25–30℃.The natural fasting is accompanied by remodeling the intestinal biota and function,which is a part of host biology and could affect the gut *** investigatesd the impact of annual aestivation on gut microbiota using high-throughput sequencing of 16S rRNA *** reveal a notable alteration in the composition of gut bacteria during aestivation during which various indigenous families and genera that exhibit a preference for dietary glycans(e.g.,family Rhodobacteraceae and Flavobacteriaceae)decreased,while the taxa capable of utilizing substrates derived from the host(e.g.,genus Akkermansia and Prevotella)increased,and so did certain opportunistic pathogenic ***,the investigation delved into the gut morphology and immunity response of *** and reveal that the intestine of *** undergoes substantial atrophy and degeneration during ***,there was an observed augmentation in the levels of acid and neutral mucin within mucous cells,as well as an enhanced immune defense response(as evidenced by increased gene expression of AjTLR3,LITAF,Ajp105,and LYZ).These results imply that the composition of sea cucumber gut microbiota differed between aestivation and active periods,which potentially affects the intestinal functions of the host and the symbiotic relationship between host and its microbiota over the activeaestivation cycle.

For the basins with debris flow development,its channel terrain exhibits a tortuous shape,which significantly restricts the movement of debris flows and leads to severe erosion effects on the concave ***,this study aims to analyze the shear force of debris flows within the bend *** established the relationship between the shear force and bend curvature through laboratory *** the long-term erosion by debris flows,the curvature radius of bends gradually increases,however,when this increasing trend reaches an equilibrium state with the intensity of debris flow discharge,there will be no significant change in curvature *** general,the activity pattern and discharges of debris flows would remain relatively ***,we can infer the magnitude of debris flow discharges from the terrain parameters of the bend channel.
