Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia(ENRA)is an effective strategy to resolve environmental and energy crisis,but there are still great challenges to achieve high activity and stability synergistically for practical application in a fluid *** flexible film electrode may solve the abovementioned problem of practical catalytic application owing to the advantages of low cost,light weight,eco-friendliness,simple and scalable fabrication,extensive structural stability,and electrocatalytic ***,2D hybridization copper 1,4-benzenedi-carboxylate(CuBDC)has been grown on electronegative MXene nanosheets(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))seamlessly to prepare a 2D flexible CuBDC@Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)electrode for *** flexible electrode simultaneously exhibits high Faradaic efficiency(86.5%)and excellent stability for NH_(3)synthesis,which are comparable to previously reported nanomaterials toward ***,the flexible electrode maintains outstanding FENH_(3)toward ENRA after the bending,twisting,folding,and crumpling tests,indicating excellent electroconductibility,high stability,and *** work not only provides mild permeation-mediated strategy to fabricate a flexible electrode but also explores the practical applications of the electrode with effectively environmental adaptability in solving global environmental contamination and energy crisis by effective ENRA.

Batch effects are technical sources of variation and can confound *** many performance ranking exercises have been conducted to establish the best batch effect-correction algorithm(BECA),we hold the viewpoint that the notion of best is ***,alternative questions beyond the simplistic notion of "best" are also interesting:are BECAs robust against various degrees of confounding and if so,what is the limit?Using two different methods for simulating class(phenotype) and batch effects and taking various representative datasets across both genomics(RNA-Seq) and proteomics platforms,we demonstrate that under situations where sample classes and batch factors are moderately confounded,most BECAs are remarkably robust and only weakly affected by upstream normalization *** observation is consistently supported across the multitude of test *** do have limits:When sample classes and batch factors are strongly confounded,BECA performance declines,with variable performance in precision,recall and also batch *** also report that while conventional normalization methods have minimal impact on batch effect correction,they do not affect downstream statistical feature selection,and in strongly confounded scenarios,may even outperform *** other words,removing batch effects is no guarantee of optimal functional ***,this study suggests that simplistic performance ranking exercises are quite trivial,and all BECAs are compromises in some context or another.

Owing to their unique physicochemical,optical and electrical properties,two-dimensional(2D)MoS_(2) cocatalysts have been widely applied in designing and developing highly efficient composite photocatalysts for hydrogen generation under suitable light *** this review,we first elaborated on the fundamental aspects of 2D MoS_(2) cocatalysts to include the structural design principles,synthesis strategies,strengths and ***,we thoroughly highlighted and discussed the modification strategies of 2D MoS_(2) H2-evolution cocatalysts,including doping heteroatoms(***,non-metals,and co-doping),designing interfacial coupling morphologies,controlling the physical properties(***,size,structural defects or pores),exposing the reactive facets or edge sites,constructing cocatalyst heterojunctions,engineering the interfacial bonds and confinement *** the future,the forefront challenges in understanding and in precise controlling of the active sites at molecular level or atomic level should be carefully studied,while various potential mechanisms of photogenerated-electrons interactions should be *** applications of MoS_(2) cocatalyst in the overall water splitting are also *** review may offer new inspiration for designing and constructing novel and efficient MoS_(2)-based composite photocatalysts for highly efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.

In recent years,the penetration of renewable resources into AC power systems has increased tremendously,creating a significantly impact on the latter’s operations and *** this respect,it is also important to gain a basic analytical understanding of such impact on the steady-state stability of power systems with electrically weak AC/DC interconnections,but such works are not very evident in the ***,a classical analytic model of the single and multi-infeed HVDC system which now incorporates renewable resources is *** the well-established concept of voltage sensitivity of the AC/DC interconnection is applied to analyze the impact of the renewable resources on the steady-state stability of these composite system models,as well as on the influence of system conditions and *** impact is also compared with that arising from other types of shunt devices alternatively connected at the same AC/DC interconnection,therefore their relative beneficial or negative impacts will also be benchmarked.

The purposes of this study are to prepare the generic extended release tablet of potassiumchloride(PC) 600 mg and to compare the absorption of potassium ion from the experimen-tal tablets to that of Kaleorid? LP 600 mg(Leo Pharmaceutical Products, Denmark). Car-nauba wax was used as retardant in the matrix core tablets. The core tablets were coatedwith blends of ethyl cellulose(EC) and hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(HPMC) to modulatethe drug release. Results of a selective two-level, three-factor experiment design revealedthat a blend of 41.75% of EC and 58.25% of HPMC at 4.5% weight gained could produce thecoated tablets having dissolution profiles similar to those of Kaleorid?. A two-treatment,two-period, two-sequence crossover bioequivalence study was carried out on 24 healthyvolunteers to compare the absorption of potassium ion from experimental tablets to thatfrom Kaleorid?. The potassium ion in the urine was measured by a selective electrode of theADVIA 1650 system(Bayer) and used to calculate cumulative urinary excretion and urinaryexcretion rate. Results of 90 percent confidence interval analysis showed that the limits fornatural log-transformed cumulative urinary potassium excretion(Ln Ae 0-24) of test productwere in the range of 3.73–3.79 mEq, corresponding to 99.08%–100.92% of Kaleorid ?, respec-tively, and the limits for natural log-transformed maximal potassium excretion rate( R max) oftest product were in the range of 1.72–1.82 mEq/h, corresponding to 97.34%–102.66% of refer-ence product, respectively. Both of them fell within the bioequivalence interval(80%–125%)of reference product, proving that experimental product is bioequivalent to Kaleorid ?.

A three-dimensional （3D） polymer thermo-optic （TO） 1 × 4 waveguide switch matrix based on vertical couplers is demonstrated. It consists of four basic 3D switch units and because of its 3D structure, its construction is compact, only 9 mm in length; moreover, the control logic of the entire switch is very simple, the light signal can be easily switched to any output port by operating only a single switch unit. The finished devices exhibit a switching extinction ratio greater than 21 dB for all of four output ports and the crosstalk between two adjacent output ports is lower than -19 dB. The rise time and the fall time of the switch matrix are 0.8ms and 1.4ms, respectively. The required electrical power to initiate the switching function for M1 switching units is about 50mW.

In this work,calcium niobium gallium garnet(Ca_(3)Nb_(1.6875)Ga_(3.1875)O_(12)-CNGG)ceramic samples singledoped with Tb^(3+)and co-doped with Tb^(3+)and Yb^(3+)ions were sintered by the solid-state reaction *** structural characterization of the samples was carried out by X-ray diffraction *** optimal concentration of Tb^(3+)ions corresponding to the maximum luminescence in the green spectral range in CNGG:x at%Tb(x=0.1,0.5,1,2,3,4,and 5)was determined to be 4 at%.The timeresolved luminescence of the^(5)D_(4)level(Tb^(3+))in the CNGG:x at%Tb samples was analysed to explore the quenching mechanisms involved in the Tb^(3+)green ***-doped CNGG:4 at%Tb,y at%Yb(y=0.5,2,4,6,8,and 10)ceramics were prepared and *** is shown that CNGG:4 at%Tb,y at%Yb phosphors exhibit intense green luminescence under ultra-violet(UV),visible(VIS),and near-infrared(NIR)excitation,thus demonstrating the presence of simultaneous down-conversion(DC)and upconversion(UC)*** dependence of the UC luminescence intensity on the diode laser pumping power was measured and the results indicate a two-photon process based on cooperative energy transfer(CET).Under UV excitation,the lifetime of the^(5)D_(4)(Tb^(3+))level slowly increases with increase of Yb^(3+)concentration,suggesting the energy transfer from Yb^(3+)to Tb^(3+)ions,while under NIR excitation,the lifetime of the^(5)D_(4)(Tb^(3+))level decreases with increase of Yb^(3+)ions concentration,indicating the presence of a strong energy transfer from Tb^(3+)to Yb^(3+)*** highest energy transfer efficiency ofη_(ET)≈42%was determined for the CNGG:4 at%Tb,10 at%Yb *** obtained results indicate that CNGG:(Tb^(3+),Yb^(3+))could be efficient new yellowish-green-emitting phosphors.

Two structurally characterized metal-cluster-centered supramolecular architectures named [Ag8（1,2-（C= C）2-C6H4）（Py[6]）（CF3CO2）6]·2.5MeOH （1） and [Ag12（1,2,4,5-（C=C）aC6H2）（Py[6]）2（CF3SO3）s]·4MeOH·3H2O （2） are synthesized through the interaction with a bowl-shaped macrocyclic ligand PyI61. Particularly, two dissimilar silver（I） clusters are resulted in 2 within the structure under the influence of the macrocyclic ligand Py[6]. Such dissimilarity of the silver（1） cluster is also reflected on the structural and photophysical differences between 1 and 2.
