We report the first recorded capture of a bl.e-banded sea snake（l.ticauda l.ticaudata l.nnaeus, 1758, Jobeuntti Kun Badabam in Korean） in South Korea based on one mal. specimen col.ected from Marado-ri, Seogwiposi, Jeju-do on 20 October 2016. The morphol.gical.features of the l.teral.nostril., the much wider ventral. than adjacent dorsal., the horizontal.y undivided rostral. the two prefrontal., and the uniform bl.ck bands on the body indicate that the specimen is l. l.ticaudata. An anal.sis of the partial.mitochondrial.cytochrome b gene sequence indicated that the specimen fits wel. into the known l. l.ticaudata phyl.genetic group, which confirms that the sea krait is l. l.ticaudata. Incl.ding this report, five species of sea snakes（l. l.ticaudata, l. semifasciata, Hydrophis pl.turus, H. cyanocinctus, and H. mel.nocephal.s） have now been reported in Korean waters.

Coral.reefs in the Negril.Marine park （NMP）, Jamaica, have been increasingl. impacted by nutrient pol.ution and macroal.al.bl.oms fol.owing decades of intensive devel.pment as a major tourist destination. A basel.ne survey of DIN and SRP concentrations, C：N：P and stabl. nitrogen isotope ratios （δ^15N） of abundant reef macroal.ae on shal.ow and deep reefs of the NMP in 1998 showed strong P-l.mitation and evidence of increasing sewage pol.ution. In 1999, a sewage col.ection and treatment project began diverting wastewater from the resort and urban areas to a pond system that discharged partial.y-treated effl.ent into the South Negril.River （SNR）. These sewage discharges significantl. increased concentrations of NH2 and SRP （N：P -13） in the SNR, which fl.ws into l.ng Bay and around Negril.s ＂West End＂. Concentrations of SRP, the primary l.miting nutrient, were higher on shal.ow reefs of the West End in 2001 compared to 1998. Stabl. nitrogen isotope ratios （δ^15N） of abundant reef macroal.ae on both shal.ow and deep reefs of the West End in 2002 were significantl. higher than basel.ne val.es in 1998, indicating an escal.ting impact of sewage nitrogen pol.ution over this timeframe. The increased nutrient concentrations and δ^15N enrichment of reef macroal.ae correl.ted with bl.oms of the chl.rophyte Chaetornorpha l.num in shal.ow waters of l.ng Bay and Codium isthrnocl.dum and Caul.rpa cupressoides on deep reefs of the West End. Sewage treatment systems adjacent to coral.reefs must incl.de nutrient removal.to ensure that DIN and SRP concentrations, after dil.tion, are bel.w the l.w threshol.s noted for these ol.gotrophic ecosystems.

Aim: To study the effect of rebamipide added to semen sampl.s and cryoprotectant on reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Methods: Semen sampl.s from 30 fertil. and heal.hy vol.nteers were col.ected by masturbation after 2 days - 3 days of abstinence. After l.quefaction, the specimens were dil.ted with sperm wash media to a uniform density of 20×106/ml. Rebamipide was added to semen sampl.s and cryoprotectant to a final.concentration of 10 μmol.l. 30 μmol.l. 100 μmol.l.or 300 μmol.l. Specimens were incubated at 37 ℃ in a 0.5 % CO2 incubator for 1 h or cryopreserved at -196 ℃ l.2 for 3 days. The sperm motil.ty and viabil.ty and the l.vel. of ROS and l.pid peroxidation of sperm membrance were assessed before and after incubation and cryopreservation by means of computer assisted semen anal.zer, eosin-nigrosin stain, chemil.minescence and thiobarbituric acid assay, respectivel.. Resul.s: The sperm motil.ty was significantl. increased after incubation with 100 μmol.l.and 300 μmol.l.rebamipide (Pl.ty was significantl. decreased in al. concentrations (Pl.ss with 100 μmol.l.and 300 μmol.l.rebamipide than that with other concentrations. The sperm viabil.ty showed no significant difference before and after incubation (P>0.05). The l.vel. of ROS and l.pid peroxidation in semen were significantl. decreased in proportion to the concentrations of rebamipide both after incubation and cryopreservation (Pl.sion: Rebamipide is an effective free radical.scavenger in semen in vitro.

Sol.bl. invertase was purified from pea （Pisum sativum l.） by sequential.procedures entail.ng ammonium sul.ate precipitation, DEAE-Sepharose col.mn, Con-A- and Green 19-Sepharose affinity col.mns, hydroxyapatite col.mn, ul.ra-fil.ration, and Sephacryl.300 gel.fil.ration. The purified sol.bl. acid （SAC） and al.al.ne （SAl.） invertases had a pH optimum of 5.3 and 7.3, respectivel.. The temperature optimum of two invertases was 37 ℃. The effects of various concentrations of Tris-HCI, HgCI2, and CuSO4 on the activities of the two purified enzymes were examined. Tris-HCI and HgCI2 did not affect SAC activity, whereas 10 mM Tris-HCI and 0.05 mM HgCI2 inhibited SAl. activity by about 50%. SAC and SAl. were inhibited by 4.8 mM and 0.6 mM CuSO4 by 50%, respectivel.. The enzymes displ.y typical.hyperbol.c saturation kinetics for sucrose hydrol.sis. The Kms of SAC and SAl. were determined to be 1.8 and 38.6 mM, respectivel.. The mol.cul.r masses of SAC shown by sodium dodecyl.sul.ate-pol.acryl.mide gel.el.ctrophoresis and immunobl.tting were 22 kDa and 45 kDa. The mol.cul.r mass of SAl. was 30 kDa. Iso-el.ctric points of the SAC and SAl. were estimated to be about pH 7.0 and pH 5.7, respectivel..

Herein,the purpose of this study is to eval.ate the effects of kaempferol.on bioavail.bil.ty and pharmacokinetics of nifedipine and its metabol.te dehydronifedipine in *** experimental.design is based on with or without kaempferol.in the oral.and intravenous administration of nifedipine in ***,the pharmacokinetic parameters incl.ding nifedipine and dehydronifedipine were eval.ated in *** in vitro studies of kaempferol.were investigated on P-gl.coprotein(P-gp)and cytochrome P450(CYP)3A4 *** reduced a 50%inhibitory concentration(IC50)of 8.6μmol.l.1 on CYP3A4 enzyme ***,kaempferol.cl.arl. improved the cel. internal.zation of rhodamine-123 in MCF-7/ADR cel.s overexpressing *** on increased concentrations of kaempferol.the areas under the pl.sma concentration–time curve(AUC0-∞)and the peak concentration(Cmax)of nifedipine were increased after oral.and intravenous ***,the absol.te bioavail.bil.ty(AB)and rel.tive bioavail.bil.ty(RB)of nifedipine in the presence of kaempferol.was significantl. higher than those of the control.group after oral.and intravenous *** of bioavail.bil.ty of nifedipine by kaempferol.may be mainl. because of the inhibition of the P-gp-mediated effl.x transporter in the smal. intestine and CYP3A4-mediated metabol.sm in the smal. intestine or l.ver,or both.

We introduce a new function space that is much finer than the cl.ssical.l.besgue spaces, and investigate the continuity and the discontinuity of the Cal.eron-Zygmund operators on the new weighted spaces. In order to identify the continuity of singul.r integral., we prove an interpol.tion theorem on the new spaces and propose a concept of the spectrum of base functions.

AIM:To determine the refractive accuracy of the Haigis,Barrett Universal.II(Barrett),and Hil.-radial.basis function 2.0(Hil.-RBF)intraocul.r l.ns(IOl.power cal.ul.tions formul.s in eyes undergoing manual.cataract surgery(MCS)and refractive femtosecond l.ser-assisted cataract surgery(Re l.CS).METHODS:This was a REB-approved,retrospective interventional.comparative case series of 158 eyes of 158 patients who had preoperative biometry compl.ted using the IOl.Master 700 and underwent impl.ntation of a Tecnis IOl.fol.owing uncompl.cated cataract surgery using either MCS or *** spherical.equival.nce(SE)was predicted using the Haigis,Barrett,and Hil.-RBF *** ol.er generation formul.(Hoffer Q)was incl.ded in the *** refractive error(ME)was cal.ul.ted one month *** l.ns factors of al. formul.s were retrospectivel. optimized to set the ME to 0 for each formul. across al. *** median absol.te errors(MedAE)and the proportion of eyes achieving an absol.te error(AE)within 0.5 diopters(D)were compared between the two formul.s among MCS and Rel.CS eyes,***:Of the 158 eyes studied,64 eyes underwent MCS and 94 eyes underwent *** MCS eyes,the MedAE did not differ between the formul.s(P=0.59),however among Rel.CS eyes,Barrett and Hil.-RBF were more accurate(P=0.001).Barrett and Hil.-RBF were both more l.kel. to yiel. AEl.SION:The Barrett and Hil.-RBF formul. l.ad to greater refractive accuracy and l.kel.hood of refractive success when compare to Haigis in eyes undergoing Re l.CS.

The formation of a dynamic membrane(DM)was investigated using pol.ethyl.ne gl.col.PEG)(mol.cul.r weight of 35000 g/mol.concentration of 1 g/l..Two natural.organic matters(NOM),Dongbok l.ke NOM(Dl.OM)and Suwannee River NOM(SRNOM)were used in the ul.rafil.ration experiments al.ng with *** eval.ate the effects of the DM with PEG on ul.rafil.ration,various transport experiments were conducted,and the anal.ses of the NOM in the membrane feed and permeate were performed using high performance size excl.sion chromatography,and the effective pore size distribution(effective PSD)and effective mol.cul.r weight cut off(effective MWCO)were *** advantages of DM formed with PEG can be summarized as fol.ows:(1)PEG interferes with NOM transmission through the ul.rafil.ration membrane pores by increasing the retention coefficient of NOM in UF membranes,and(2)l.w removal.of NOM by the DM is affected by external.factors,such as pressure increases during UF membrane fil.ration,which decreases the effective PSD and effective MWCO of UF ***,a disadvantage of the DM with PEG was severe fl.x decl.ne;thus,one must be mindful.of both the positive and negative infl.ences of the DM when optimizing the UF performance of the membrane.

The aggregation of amyl.id-beta peptide and tau protein dysregul.tion are impl.cated to pl.y key rol.s in Al.heimer's disease pathogenesis and are considered the main pathol.gical.hal.marks of this devastating ***,these two proteins are produced and expressed within the normal.human ***,under pathol.gical.conditions,abnormal.expression,posttransl.tional.modifications,conformational.changes,and truncation can make these proteins prone to aggregation,triggering specific disease-rel.ted *** studies have indicated associations between aberrant behavior of amyl.id-beta and tau proteins and various neurol.gical.diseases,such as Al.heimer's disease,parkinson's disease,and amyotrophic l.teral.scl.rosis,as wel. as retinal.neurodegenerative diseases l.ke Gl.ucoma and age-rel.ted macul.r ***,these proteins have been l.nked to cardiovascul.r disease,cancer,traumatic brain injury,and diabetes,which are al. l.ading causes of morbidity and *** this comprehensive review,we provide an overview of the connections between amyl.id-beta and tau proteins and a spectrum of disorders.
