Clinical validation of the early embryo viability assessment system: Analysis for the blastocyst morphology and pregnancy outcomes

Objective:to determine the relationship between the early embryo viability assessment(EEVA)and blastocyst morphological parameters and pregnancy ***:t.is retrospective cohort study was conducted on 291 intracytoplasmic sperm injection cycles including 2522 embryos with indications of prolonging embryo culture to the blastocyst stage in the Genea embryo review incubator,and 511 single vit.ified-warmed blastocyst transfer cycles from January 2020 to June *** EEVA system produced an EEVA score from E1(best)to E5(worse)for the potential of blastocyst *** morphology was *** association between the EEVA score and each type of blastocyst morphology,implantation rate,clinical pregnancy,and ongoing pregnancy were assessed using generalized estimating ***:the inner cell mass A(iCM A),trophectoderm A(tE A),blastocoele expansion degree of 3,4,5,6,7 rates were higher with lower the EEVA *** adjusted odd ratio(aOR)(E5 vs E1)was 0.3 for iCM A,0.174 for tE A and 0.210 for BL3,4,5,6,7(all Pting a significant association between lower EEVA scores and improved embryo *** implantation,clinical pregnancy,and ongoing pregnancy rate were also higher with lower the EEVA *** aOR of E5 vs E1 was 0.245 for implantation,0.185 for clinical pregnancy and 0.200 for ongoing pregnancy rate(Pions:there were associations between blastocyst morphology,pregnancy outcome and EEVA *** good blastocyst morphology and pregnancy outcomes are higher with lower the EEVA score.

Our study aimed to compare the essential oil(EO)concentration and composition of several Apiaceae species growing in the Northern region of *** yields of EOs from materials ranged from 0.03%(root EO of Angelica acutiloba and aerial parts EO of Heracleum bivittatum)-0.27%(leaf EO of Xyloselinum vietnamense).Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)allowed the identiﬁcation of 74 components in the EOs of six Apiaceae species,making up 94.4%–100.0%of the *** EO from Angelica acutiloba,(Z)-ligustilide accounted for an extremely large proportion(94.9%).EO of Angelica pubescens was dominated by six character-istic components includingα-pinene(21.5%),β-phellandrene(18.1%),p-cymene(12.2%),3-methylnonane(8.7%),o-cymene(8.1%),and D-sylvestrene(6.2%).the EO from Cryptotaenia japonica was characterized by high amounts ofα-selinene(48.7%),β-selinene(23.7%),and trans-β-farnesene(5.4%).the EOs from leaves and stems of Xyloselinum vietnamense were characterized by high concentrations of sabinene(69.8%and 33.8%),4-terpineol(8.7%and 7.4%)andβ-pinene(4.0%and 6.5%)while EOs from aerial parts and root of Xylo-selinum leonidii comprise four characteristic monoterpenes includingα-pinene(28.2%and 52.8%),β-pinene(7.9%and 10.3%),β-phellandrene(7.6%and 15.3%),and sabinene(3.0%and 4.1%).Additionally,cryptone is also one of the major components in the EO of Xyloselinum leonidii(13.2%in the aerial parts oil and 2.8%in the root oil).in the EOs isolated from the aerial parts and root of Heracleum bivittatum,α-pinene(22.5%and 70.2%)andβ-pinene(43.2%and 20.0%)were the predominant *** appeared in the EO from aerial parts of Heracleum bivittatum with a relatively high concentration(13.5%)while bornyl acetate(5.1%)was also one of the main components in the EO from its aerial parts but was not detected in other Apiaceae species in the present *** databases help identify and control the quality of plant material studied from the family Apiaceae growing in Vietnam.

Water level predictions in the river,lake and delta play an important role in flood *** year Mekong River delta of Vietnam is experiencing flood due to heavy monsoon rains and high *** subsidence may also aggravate flooding problems in t.is ***,accurate predictions of water levels in t.is region are very important to forewarn the people and authorities for taking timely adequate remedial measures to prevent losses of life and *** are so many methods available to predict the water levels based on historical data but nowadays Machine Learning(ML)methods are considered the best tool for accurate *** t.is study,we have used surface water level data of 18 water level measurement stations of the Mekong River delta from 2000 to 2018 to build novel time-series Bagging based hybrid ML models namely:Bagging(RF),Bagging(SOM)and Bagging(M5P)to predict historical water levels in the study *** of the Bagging-based hybrid models were compared with Reduced Error Pruning trees(REPt),which is a benchmark ML *** data of 19 years period was divided into 70:30 ratio for the *** data of the period 1/2000 to 5/2013(which is about 70%of total data)was used for the training and for the period 5/2013 to 12/2018(which is about 30%of total data)was used for testing(validating)the *** of the models was evaluated using standard statistical measures:Coefficient of Determination(R2),Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE).Results show that the performance of all the developed models is good(R2>0.9)for the prediction of water levels in the study ***,the Bagging-based hybrid models are slightly better than another model such as ***,these Bagging-based hybrid time series models can be used for predicting water levels at Mekong data.

Controlling various contaminants in wastewater effluent through membranes and engineered wetland

For effective wastewater reclamation and water recovery,the treatment of natural and effluent organic matters(NOM and EfOM),toxic anions,and micropollutants was considered in t.is *** different NOM(humic acid of the Suwannee River,and NOM of US and Youngsan River,Korea),and one EfOM from the Damyang wastewater treatment plant,Korea,were selected for investigating the removal efficiencies of tight nanofiltration(NF)and ultrafiltration(UF)membranes with different ***,bromate,and perchlorate were selected as target toxic anions due to their well known high ***-(2-chloroethyl)-phosphate(tCEP),oxybenzone,and caffeine,due to their different K_(ow) and pK_(a) values,were selected as target *** expected,the NF membranes provided high removal efficiencies in terms of all the tested contaminants,and the UF membrane provided fairly high removal efficiencies for anions(except for nitrate)and the relatively hydrophobic micropollutant,*** the wetlands,nitrate was successfully ***,a fair process of combining membranes with an engineered wetland could be proposed for sust.inable wastewater reclamation and optimum control of contaminats.

Differential regulation of prot.in synthesis in skeletal muscle and liver of neonatal pigs by leucine through an mtORC1-dependent pathway

Neonatal growth is characterized by a high prot.in synthesis rate that.is largely due to an enhanced sensitivity to the postprandial rise in insulin and amino acids, especially leucine. the mechanism of leucine＇s action in vivo is not well understood. in t.is study, we investigated the effect of leucine infusion on prot.in synthesis in skeletal muscle and liver of neonatal pigs. to evaluate the mode of action of leucine, we used rapamycin, an inhibitor of mammalian target of rapamycin （mtOR） complex-1 （mtORC1）. Overnight-fasted 7-day-old piglets were treated with rapamycin for 1 hour and then infused with leucine （400 μmol·kg^-1·h^-1） for 1 hour. Leucine infusion increased the rate of prot.in synthesis, and ribosomal prot.in S6 kinase 1 （S6K1） and eukaryotic initiation factor （elF） 4E-binding prot.in-1 （4E-BP1） phosphorylation in gastrocnemius and masseter muscles （P 〈 0.05）, but not.in the liver. the leucine-induced stimulation of prot.in synthesis and S6K1 and 4E-BP1 phosphorylation were completely blocked by rapamycin, suggesting that leucine action is by an mtORC1-dependent mechanism. Neither leucine nor rapamycin had any effect on the activation of the upstream mtQRC1 regulators, AMP-activated prot.in kinase and prot.in kinase B, in skeletal muscle or liver. the activation of elF2α and elongation factor 2 was not affected by leucine or rapamycin, indicating that these two pathways are not limiting steps of leucine-induced prot.in synthesis. these results suggest that leucine stimulates muscle prot.in synthesis in neonatal pigs by inducing the activation of mtORC1 and its downstream pathway leading to mRNA translation.

Endocytosis and subsequent trafficking pathways are crucial for regulating the activity of plasma membrane-localized prot.ins. Depending on cellular and physiological conditions, the internalized cargoes are sorted at （and transported from） the trans-Golgi network/early endosome （tGN/EE） to the vacuole for degradation or recycled back to the plasma membrane. How t.is occurs at the molecular level remains largely elusive. Here, we provide evidence that the ENtH domain-cont.ining prot.in AtECA4 plays a crucial role in recycling cargoes from the tGN/EE to the plasma membrane in Arabidopsis thaliana. AtECA4：sGFP primarily localized to the tGN/EE and plasma membrane （at low levels）. Upon NaCi or mannitol treatment, AtECA4：sGFP accumulated at the tGN/EE at an early time point but was released from the tGN/EE to the cytosol at later time points. the ateca4mutant showed higher resistance to osmotic stress and more sensitive to exogenous abscisic acid （ABA） than the wild type, as well as increased expres- sion of ABA-inducible genes RD29A and RD29B. Consistently, ABCG25, a plasma membrane-localized ABA exporter, accumulated at the prevacuolar compartment.in ateca4, indicating a defect.in recycling to the plasma membrane. However, the role of AtECA4 in cargo recycling is not specific to ABCG25, as it also functions in the recycling of BRii. these results suggest that AtECA4 plays a crucial role in the recycling of endocytosed cargoes from the tGN/EE to the plasma membrane.

Morphological Change in the Northern Red River Delta,Vietnam

Coastal erosion has become a worldwide concern, typically in the densely populated Asian mega-river deltas. Severe coastal erosion in the southern Red River Delta(RRD) has been intensively studied. Coastal morphological change in the northern RRD was examined in det.il through DEM(Digital Elevation Model) analysis based on time series of bathymet.ical maps(1965–2004) and Landsat.images(1975–2015) in t.is study. the results show that the northern RRD is featured by rapid coastal accretion in the past few decades, although suspended sediment flux has dropped by roughly 60% after the completeness of Hoa Binh Dam(HBD) in 1988 and relative sea level rose at 1.9 mm yr^(-1). However, accretion at the outer part of subtidal shoals and platforms was observed to slow down quickly or even turned into erosion in the last two decades. the resuspended sediments from the erosion zone can be transported landward to replenish the inner coastal zone, keeping the latter accretion in the near future to compensate for the sediment discharge decrease from the river. However, t.is lag effect should be terminated soon if other adverse effects go worse, e.g., damming rivers, sea-level rising, strengthening storms, land reclamation and other poor-designed coastal engineering. Coastal planners and managers should pay full attention to these changes.

Nickel composite plating with fly ash as inert particle

the Ni/FA composite plating was realized by electrodeposition with fly ash （FA） as inert particles. the main compositions of FA are 72% SiO2 and 25% A1203 in the size of 3-7 ixm. Electrodeposition was performed in Watts bath cont.ining FA with concentrations of 5, 20, 50 g/L, current densities of 2 and 4 A/dm2, temperature of 50 ~C and magnetic stirring of 250 r/min. Scanning electron microscope （SEM＋EDX）, electrochemical and mechanical technique were used to study morphology, composition and properties of coating. FA content.in deposit.is dependent on the FA concentration in solution, as well as the plating parameters. Since FA particles were incorporated in the coating, the mechanical and electrochemical properties of the coating were increased. the microhardness of Ni/FA composite plating reaches HV 430 in comparison with HV 198 of pure Ni coating. it was confirmed by electrochemical measurement that the corrosion resistance of Ni/FA composite coating was higher than that of pure Ni.

Background:Strongyloidiasis,a neglected disease caused by intestinal nematodes of the genus,is endemic to tropical and subtropical areas such as *** methods only identify the genus,while DNA-molecular techniques are susceptible in Strongyloides *** study aims to determine the prevalence of dominant Strongyloides species among the population in Duc Hoa dist.ict,Long An,***:A cross-sectional study used 1190 stool specimens collected from July 2017 to November *** samples were transported wit.in 2 h,stored at 2-8℃,and processed wit.in 48 h for microscopy smear and culture at the Laboratory of Medical Parasitology,Pham Ngoc thach University of Medicine(PNt).then all positive samples with the above 2 methods were verified by real-time PCR ***-time PCR amplification was conducted at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology,***:Direct microscopy and modified Harada-Mori culture detected Strongyloides *** in 79/1190 sam-ples(6.6%).About 94.2%of the DNA samples were Strongyloides stercoralis,2.9%were co-infections with Strongy-loides rat.i and ***,and 2.9%were patients with *** identity of 12/14 sequences was confirmed as *** with a high level of similarity(91.3%-100%)and over 98%for ***:DNA-molecular techniques and sequence analysis are highly suitable for identifying Strongyloides species isolated from stool *** is remarkable evidence of the presence of zoonosis *** disease in human,not just the known *** is likely to result.in a cert.in proportion of people being infected by t.is animal-borne infectious pathogen.
