Neutron resonance imaging(NRI)has recently emerged as an appealing technique for neutron *** complexity surpasses that of conventional transmission imaging,as it requires a high demand for both a neutron source and ***,the progression of NRI technology has been sluggish since its inception in the 1980s,particularly considering the limited studies analyzing the neutron energy range above *** white neutron source(Back-n)at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)provides favorable beam conditions for the development of the NRI technique over a wide neutron energy range from eV to ***-sensitive microchannel plates(MCP)have emerged as a cutting-edge tool in the field of neutron detection owing to their high temporal and spatial resolutions,high detection efficiency,and low *** this study,we report the development of a 10B-doped MCP detector,along with its associated electronics,data processing system,and NRI experiments at the *** heavy elements such as gold,silver,tungsten,and indium can be easily identified in the transmission images by their characteristic resonance peaks in the 1–100 eV energy range;the more difficult medium-weight elements such as iron,copper,and aluminum with resonance peaks in the 1–100 keV energy range can also be *** particular,results in the neutron energy range of dozens of keV(Aluminum)are reported here for the first time.

空间圆拟合在点云数据处理、地铁建设、工业检测中应用广泛,但存在计算步骤繁琐、拟合精度易受异常值影响等不足。针对这些问题,提出一种基于结合改进的主成分分析和罗德里格投影的空间圆拟合方法。首先提出改进的主成分分析法在拟合空间圆所在最佳平面的同时也可以剔除测量中的粗差,该剔除粗差步骤简单、高效,也提升了算法稳健性;接着利用罗德里格投影将三维坐标投影到拟合的平面上进行平面圆的拟合,拟合后再投影至三维坐标系,该步骤进一步提高了算法便捷性;最后利用深圳某地铁车站洞门钢环实际测量数据和几种常见的空间圆拟合算法进行对比实验,分析改进算法的普适性和剔除粗差的能力。实验结果表明,提出的空间圆拟合方法拟合结果可靠,能够有效地剔除观测带来的粗差,提升空间圆的拟合精度和工作效率。在有粗差的情况下拟合的平均圆度为4.8 mm,较对比方法拟合平均圆度提高约50%。

He-Wei Granule enhances anti-tumor activity of cyclophosphamide by changing tumor microenvironment

Objective:He-Wei Granule(HWKL)is a modern product derived from the modified formulation of traditional Chinese medicine Banxia Xiexin Decoction(BXD),which remarkedly enhanced the anti-proliferation activity of cyclophosphamide(CTX)on HepG2 and SGC-7901 cell lines in vitro in our previous *** aim of the study was to investigate the synergistic effects of HWKL and CTX using a transplanted H22 hepatocellular carcinoma mouse ***:The CTX-toxic-reducing efficacy of HWKL was evaluated by hematology indexes,organ indexes and marrow DNA *** investigate the underlying mechanisms,histopathology test,immunohistochemistry test and TUNEL staining were *** efficacy of HWKL on the micro-vessel density(MVD)in tumor tissue was also evaluated by measuring CD34 ***:High dose HWKL(6.75 g/kg)markedly attenuated CTX-induced hepatotoxicity and myelosuppression while significantly enhanced CTX anticancer efficacy in *** mechanism investigation suggested that high dose HWKL significantly increased cleaved Caspase 3 level and promoted apoptosis in tumor tissue by up-regulating Bax expression and down-regulating Bcl-2 and FasL *** with CTX alone group,the decrease in LC-3B and Beclin 1 levels suggested that the autophagy in H22 carcinoma was significantly inhibited with addition of high dose *** assay results indicated that the autophagy inhibition was achieved by decreasing p53 expression,blocking PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway and recovering Th1/Th2 cytokine *** addition,CD34 and EGFR immunohistochemistry assay suggest that high dose HWKL could significantly decrease micro-vessel density(MVD)and inhibit angiogenesis in H22 ***:It can be concluded that high-dose HWKL enhanced CTX efficacy by promoting apoptosis,inhibiting autophagy and angiogenesis in tumor tissue while significantly alleviated CTX-induced toxicity,and could be applied along with CTX in clinical treatment as a supplement agent.

Fe/S oxidation-coupled arsenic speciation transformation mediated by AMD enrichment culture under different pH conditions

Arsenic(As)speciation transformation in acid mine drainage(AMD)is comprehensively affected by biological and abiotic factors,such as microbially mediated Fe/S redox reactions and changes in environmental conditions(pH and oxidation-reduction potential).However,their combined impacts on arsenic speciation transformation remain poorly ***,we explored arsenic transformation and immobilization during pyrite dissolution mediated by AMD enrichment culture under different acidic pH *** results for incubation and mineralogical transformation of solid residues show that in the presence of AMD enrichment culture,pH 2.0,2.5,and 3.0 are more conducive to the formation of jarosites and ferric arsenate,which could immobilize high quantities of dissolved arsenic by adsorption and *** pH conditions significantly affect the initial adsorption of microbial cells to the minerals and the evolution of microbial community structure,further infuencing the biodissolution of pyrite and the release and oxidation process of Fe/*** results of Fe/S/As speciation transformation of the solid residues show that the transformation of Fe,S,and As in solution is mainly regulated by pH and potential values,which imposed significantly different effects on the formation of secondary minerals and thus arsenic oxidation and *** above results indicated that arsenic transformation is closely related to the Fe/S oxidation associated with pyrite bio-oxidation,and this correlation is critically regulated by the pH conditions of the system.

In actual physiological environments,bacteria can activate the immune system and release lactic ***,the detailed contribution of lactic acid to the passivation behavior of titanium(Ti)alloys is still *** current work investigated the in vitro passivation behavior of Ti-6Al-4V(TC4)alloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion in Hank's solution with and without adding lactic *** methods,inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy were jointly *** lactic acid decreases the corrosion resistance of samples by degrading the formed passive *** film formed in the(lactic acid)-containing solution exhibits a higher level of oxygen vacancies and a lower thickness,attributed to the suppressed formation of Ti^(4+)transformed from Ti^(3+)and Ti^(2+).Moreover,the presence of lactic acid would increase the open circuit potential,relieve the ions release,and hinder the deposition of calcium phosphates within 24 h immersion.

Thirdhand smoke: Genotoxicity and carcinogenic potential

Thirdhand smoke (THS), the residual tobacco smoke remaining in the environment after tobacco has been smoked, represents a hidden and underestimated public health hazard. Evidence supports its widespread presence in indoor environments. Exposure to secondhand smoke (SHS), a precursor of THS, has been well documented as a risk factor for human cancers, especially lung cancer. However, the concept of THS as a distinct entity that poses health risks for small children has developed only recently and the associations of THS with cancer risk and other chronic diseases are poorly understood due to limited numbers of studies to date. In this perspective, we mainly summarize all published studies on the genotoxicity and carcinogenic potential of THS exposure. These studies begin to fill the knowledge gap in our understanding of cancer risk of THS. Accumulating data from existing and future studies will help reduce the tobacco-related cancer incidence through changes in lifestyle and tobacco control policies.
