We present path integral quantization of a massive superparticle in d =4 which preserves 1/4 of the target space supersymmetry with eight supercharges, and so corresponds to the partial breaking N = 8 to N = 2. Its worldline action contains a Wess-Zumino term, explicitly breaks d =4 Lorentz symmetry and exhibits one complex fermionic k-symmetry. We perform the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism of constrained systems, to obtain the equations of motion of the model as total differential equations in many variables. These equations of motion are in exact agreement with those obtained by Dirac’s method.

This work deals with the application of [MERCSF-N] computer program in calculating the macroscopic effective removal cross-section of fast neutrons, ΣR (cm-1), for two different boro phosphate glass systems: (0.5 - x) CdO-x Fe2O3-0.4 P2O5-0.1 B2O3 and (0.5 - x) B2O3-x Fe2O3-0.1 CdO-0.4 P2O5 (with 0.05 ≤ x ≤ 0.5 by mole), to realize from the role of iron in the attenuation process and hence the usefulness of the glass containing iron as neutrons shielding material. The effect of replacing cadmium and boron oxides by iron oxide has been analyzed which proved that iron is more efficient than cadmium in attenuating and removing fast neutrons and that the presence of small amounts of B2O3 at least 0.1 mole fraction, with iron is needed to aid improving the removal cross-section of iron phosphate glasses. Experimental IR results are developed and used to trace the structural change and confirm the role of iron in the removal cross section.

Severe acute malnutrition with medical complications is one of the most common causes of morbidity and mortality among children under the age of 5 years. Which can be management by given Therapeutic milk, it is available only at inpatient center at hospitals. When staff and mother managed adequately, the therapeutic milk has highly effective in treating severe malnutrition and prevent any complications that can be developing. So, this study aims to Assess of the Efficacy of Therapeutic milk in Prevention Complications of Severe acute malnutrition 6 - 59 months at therapeutic feeding center. Descriptive, Cross-Sectional, Hospital-based study design was used to conduct the study. The study was carried out at Organization of AL Thora public Hospital at Hodeida city in Yemen. Total coverage 200 children 6 - 59 months of age have Sever Acute Malnutrition with complication which was 14 medical complications and admitted at Therapeutics Feeding Center. Three research tools which used for data collection. The structured face to face Interview questionnaire, anthropometric measurements, and the Structure Observation Check list. The results showed that, the obvious reduction of complication when the Comparison at admission, 1st week and 2nd week are (40.9% to 18% to 7.6%). There is highly statistically significant relationship between the therapeutic feeding which was given, resolution the complication at 1st week and 2nd week at p d to Outpatient therapeutic to complete nutritional program. The main objective of this work is to design an optimal—efficient economic power renewable energy system that feeds the required electric load of a small scale brackish reverse osmosis desalination unit and a tourism motel located in Hurghada, Egypt. Four renewable energy power systems are presented in this paper to select the most optimum one of them. These suggested renewable energy systems are PV-wind hybrid system, stand-alone wind system, stand-alone photovoltaic system and PV-wind-fuel cell hybrid system. The sizing, optimization and economic estimation of the proposed systems were performed using HOMER software. HOMER solves the optimization problem to minimize the global cost and provides the optimum wind turbine, PV, battery and fuel cell ratings. In addition, a comparison between the four different suggested power system configurations is illustrated in details. PV-wind hybrid system realized the lowest net present cost and levelized cost of energy. Also, this system was able to provide energy approximately all the day. The battery state of charge varies between 83% and 99% and it was found that, the PV-wind hybrid system is more suitable than the others for the selected site and the suggested electrical load.

Background: The aim of this work was to examine the relationship between the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) as indicator of renal efficiency potentially related to the ability to release radioactive iodine from the patients bodies and the radioactive iodine whole body effective half-life (WBEHL) defined as the time taken for the administered activity to decay to half of its value for papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) patients undergoing radioactive iodine therapy (RAIT) in a tertiary care medical Centre. Methods: This retrospective observational study included seventy nine patients, sixty females and nineteen males. The patients were divided in two subgroups, those who have WBEHL of less than 11 hours (n = 51) and those with more than 11 (n = 28) hrs based on k-means clustering technique. Results: Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to find out if there is a statistically significant difference between the two subgroups Conclusion: There was not a statistically significant difference between the short and the longer WBEHL patients’ groups analyzed in this study. .

Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Morocco: A Two Year Retrospective Study

OBJECTIVES: To determine the epidemiological features of pulmonary tuberculosis in the region of Gharb-Chrarda-Beni-Hssen in Morocco. METHODS: This is a retrospective study of pulmonary tuberculosis cases, diagnosed and treated at the regional diagnostic center of tuberculosis and respiratory diseases (RDCTRD) in Kenitra between January 2010 and December 2011. RESULTS: During the study period, there were 456 cases diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis at the RDCTRD, accounting for 51.3% of all tuberculosis cases reported during this period. More than two-thirds were men (69%), with a male-female ratio of 2.22 and 3.3% of cases were children under the age of 15 years. The average age of the patients was 37.07 ± 0.78 years. The average body weight at diagnosis of tuberculosis was 56.20 ± 0.55 kg for all patients. According to the results, 89% of pulmonary tuberculosis cases were microscopically positive. The majority of patients (80.3%) showed signs of tuberculous impregnation. Nearly three-quarters of these cases (71%) were smokers, 21% were cannabis addicts and 7% were alcoholics. Among the 427 cases for whom the outcome was known, 3 (0.7%) of them died. CONCLUSION: Tuberculosis can be controlled by preventing transmission and infection, by stopping the progression from latent infection to active tuberculosis, and by treating active disease.

Blood Pressure Balance as a Marker for Early Detection of Cerebral Infarction and a Criterion for Inclusion/Exclusion from Acupuncture Treatment

Background: Early detection of cerebral infarction (CI) by home acupuncturists might be helpful in reducing stroke mortality. We compared vital signs of patients who developed CI and those who did not to ascertain if blood pressure balance is a useful marker for the early detection of CI and for distinguishing cases with potentially effective/ineffective acupuncture treatment. Methods: In this retrospective study, vital signs such as body temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, were simultaneously obtained from the right and left arms of patients who received weekly acupuncture treatment. We focused on the differences between values obtained from the right and left arms (the balance) and compared the values of patients who developed CI [CI (+)] (n = 18) and those of age-/gender-matched patients who did not [CI (−)] (n = 18). Results: Left/right blood pressure was significantly more unbalanced in the CI (+) group than in the CI (−) group, especially immediately before the onset of CI. Moreover, all CIs occurred on the side with a lower blood pressure. Discussion and Conclusions: Blood pressure balance might aid in the early detection of CI and to determine whether treatment with traditional or modern medicine is more appropriate. Acupuncture may thus help maintain patients’ quality of life.
