Nonlinear empirical failure criterion for rocks under triaxial compression

Based on existing triaxial compression experimental data,a new empirical failure criterion with wide applicability was proposed considering hydrostatic pressure,second stress invariance,and maximum shear *** fitting evaluation indicators were used to verify the consistency of the new failure criterion,and the differences with the other 6 failure criteria were *** characteristics of the new failure criteria in the principal stress space were finally *** results indicate that(1)the new failure criterion exhibits strong predictive ability for triaxial experiments and has good applicability for both intact and jointed rocks;(2)the influence of hydrostatic pressure on the failure surface exhibits a non-linear trend,and different hydrostatic pressure also exhibits different distribution patterns on the deviatoric stress plane,with a distribution characteristic pattern of hexagonal snowflake-regular *** maximum shear stress has a torsional effect on the new criterion,in the three-dimensional failure *** parameters a and b of the rock have an impact on the failure surface morphology of the new criterion function on the offset surface.

Many deep learning-based registration methods rely on a single-stream encoder-decoder network for computing deformation fields between 3D ***,these methods often lack constraint information and overlook semantic consistency,limiting their *** address these issues,we present a novel approach for medical image registration called theDual-VoxelMorph,featuring a dual-channel cross-constraint *** innovative network utilizes both intensity and segmentation images,which share identical semantic information and feature *** encoder-decoder structures calculate deformation fields for intensity and segmentation images,as generated by the dual-channel cross-constraint *** design facilitates bidirectional communication between grayscale and segmentation information,enabling the model to better learn the corresponding grayscale and segmentation details of the same anatomical *** ensure semantic and directional consistency,we introduce constraints and apply the cosine similarity function to enhance semantic *** on four public datasets demonstrates superior performance compared to the baselinemethod,achieving Dice scores of 79.9%,64.5%,69.9%,and 63.5%for OASIS-1,OASIS-3,LPBA40,and ADNI,respectively.

Fixed-bed reactors are generally considered the optimal choice for numerous multi-phase catalytic reactions due to their excellent performance and ***,conventional fixed beds often encounter challenges related to inadequate mass transfer and a high pressure drop caused by the non-uniform void fraction *** enhance the overall performance of fixed beds,the impact of different packing configurations on performance was *** and simulation methods were used to investigate the fluid flow and mass transfer performances of various packed beds under different flow *** was found that structured beds exhibited a significantly lower pressure drop per unit length than conventional packed ***,the packing configurations had a critical role in improving the overall performance of fixed ***,structured packed beds,particularly the H-2 packing configuration,effectively reduced the pressure drop per unit length and improved the mass transfer *** H-2 packing configuration consisted of two parallel strips of particles in each layer,with strips arranged perpendicularly between adjacent layers,and the spacing between the strips varied from layer to layer.

An artificial neural network(ANN)method is introduced to predict drop size in two kinds of pulsed columns with small-scale data *** training,the deviation between calculate and experimental results are 3.8%and 9.3%,*** ANN model,the influence of interfacial tension and pulsation intensity on the droplet diameter has been *** size gradually increases with the increase of interfacial tension,and decreases with the increase of pulse *** can be seen that the accuracy of ANN model in predicting droplet size outside the training set range is reach the same level as the accuracy of correlation obtained based on experiments within this *** two kinds of columns,the drop size prediction deviations of ANN model are 9.6%and 18.5%and the deviations in correlations are 11%and 15%.

To overcome the limitations of traditional experimental“trial and error”methods in lubricant additive design,a new molecular design method based on molecular structure parameters is established *** molecular mechanism of the antioxidant reaction of hindered phenol,diphenylamine,and alkyl sulfide are studied via molecular *** results show that the strong electron-donating ability and high hydrogen-donating activity of the antioxidant molecule and the low hydrogen-abstracting activity of free radicals formed after dehydrogenation are the internal molecular causes of the shielding of phenol and diphenylamine from scavenging peroxy free radicals,and the strong electron-donating ability is the internal molecular cause of the high activity of thioether in decomposing alkyl hydrogen *** on this antioxidant molecular mechanism,a molecular design rule of antioxidant is proposed,namely“high EHOMO,large Q(S),low bond dissociation energy BDE(O—H)and BDE(N—H)”.Two new antioxidants,PAS-I and PAS-II,are designed and prepared by chemical bonding of hindered phenol,diphenylamine,and sulfur *** results show that these antioxidants both have excellent antioxidant effects in lubricating oil,and that PAS-II is the superior antioxidant,consistent with theoretical predictions.

Study on the interannual variability of the Kerama Gap transport and its relation to the Kuroshio/Ryukyu Current system

An analysis of a 68-year monthly hindcast output from an eddy-resolving ocean general circulation model reveals the relationship between the interannual variability of the Kerama Gap transport(KGT)and the Kuroshio/Ryukyu Current *** study found a significant difference in the interannual variability of the upstream and downstream transports of the East China Sea-(ECS-)Kuroshio and the Ryukyu *** interannual variability of the KGT was found to be of paramount importance in causing the differences between the upstream and downstream ***,it contributed approximately 37%to the variability of the Ryukyu *** interannual variability of the KGT was well described by a two-layer rotating hydraulic *** was dominated by its subsurface-intensified flow core,and the upper layer transport made a weaker negative contribution to the total *** subsurface flow core was found to be mainly driven by the subsurface pressure head across the Kerama Gap,and the pressure head was further dominated by the subsurface density anomalies on the Pacific *** density anomalies could be traced back to the eastern open ocean,and their propagation speed was estimated to be about 7.4 km/d,which is consistent with the speed of the local first-order baroclinic Rossby *** the negative(positive)density anomaly signal reached the southern region of the Kerama Gap,it triggered the increase(decrease)of the KGT towards the Pacific side and the formation of an anticyclonic(cyclonic)vortex by baroclinic ***,there is an increase(decrease)in the upstream transport of the entire Kuroshio/Ryukyu Current system and an offshore flow that decreases(increases)the downstream Ryukyu Current.

The mechanical strength of the synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) has always been a great *** paper presents an analysis method for assessing stress equivalence and magnetic bridge stress interaction, along with a multiobjective optimization approach. Considering the complex flux barrier structure and inevitable stress concentration at the bridge, the finite element model suitable for SynRM is established. Initially, a neural network structure with two inputs,one output, and three layers is established. Continuous functions are constructed to enhance accuracy. Additionally, the equivalent stress can be converted into a contour distribution of a three-dimensional stress graph. The contour line distribution illustrates the matching scheme for magnetic bridge lengths under equivalent stress. Moreover, the paper explores the analysis of magnetic bridge interaction stress. The optimization levels corresponding to the length of each magnetic bridge are defined, and each level is analyzed by the finite element *** Taguchi method is used to determine the specific gravity of the stress source on each magnetic bridge. Based on this, a multiobjective optimization employing the Multiobjective Particle Swarm Optimization(MOPSO) technique is *** taking the rotor magnetic bridge as the design parameter, ten optimization objectives including air-gap flux density, sinusoidal property, average torque, torque ripple, and mechanical stress are optimized. The relationship between the optimization objectives and the design parameters can be obtained based on the response surface method(RSM) to avoid too many experimental samples. The optimized model is compared with the initial model, and the optimized effect is verified. Finally, the temperature distribution of under rated working conditions is analyzed, providing support for addressing thermal stress as mentioned earlier.
