The development and exploration of efficient and economical electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction（OER） represents the main bottleneck to unlocking a sustainable energy scenario based on elec trocataly tic water *** scale integration of three-dimensional（3D） porous heterostructure with highly dispersed active sites and good structural stability is ***,a dual template route is developed to construct the 3D porous SiO2/nitrogen-doped carbon（NC）/Co-carbon nano tubes（CNTs） hetero ***,the hard template（SiO2nano spheres） contributes to 3D porous structure,increases the specific surface area,and promotes the contact area of the *** the same time,the soft template（basic zinc carbonate） can control the growth of 1D CNTs and facilitate the exposure of the active ***,3D porous SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs hetero structure inherits highly dispersed Co nanoparticles coated by *** conductive channels and abundant N hetero atoms doping are reasonably constructed by a dual template ***,SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs catalyst provides an extraordinary activity for the OER in alkaline media,with a low overpotential of 298 mV at a current density of 10 mA·***,SiO2/NC/Co-CNTs hetero structure enables excellent long-term durability with a 10 mV decay in overpotential after 3000 cyclic voltammetry cycles,and 97% remain in current density over 20 *** is believed that this dual template strategy can provide a new and simple way to construct a highly dispersed active site in electrocatalysts.

Effects of proteinase A on cultivation and viability characteristics of industrial Saccharomyces cerevisiae WZ65

Proteinase A （PrA）, encoded by PEP4 gene, is a key enzyme in the vacuoles of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We characterized the effects of PrA on cell growth and glucose metabolism in the industrial S. cerevisiae WZ65. It was observed that the lag phase of cell growth of partial PEP4 gene deletion mutant （36 h） and PrA-negative mutant （48 h） was significantly extended, compared with the wild type strain （24 h）（P〈0.05）, but PrA had no effect on glucose metabolism either under shaking or steady state cultivations. The logistic model was chosen to evaluate the effect of PrA on S. cerevisiae cell growth, and PrA was found to promote cell growth against insufficient oxygen condition in steady state cultivation, but had no effect in shaking cultivation. The effects of glucose starvation on cell growth of partial PEP4 gene deletion strain and PrA-negative mutant were also evaluated. The results show that PrA partial deficiency increased the adaption ofS. cerevisiae to unfavorable nutrient environment, but had no effect on glucose metabolism under the stress of low glucose. During heat shock test, at 60 ℃ the reduced cell viability rate （RCVR） was 10% for the wild type S. cerevisiae and 90% for both mutant strains （P〈0.01）, suggesting that PrA was a negative factor for S. cerevisiae cells to survive under heat shock. As temperatures rose from 60 ℃ to 70℃, the wild type S. cerevisiae had significantly lower relative glucose consumption rate （RGCR）（61.0% and 80.0%） than the partial mutant （78.0% and 98.5%） and the complete mutant （80.0% and 98.0%）（P〈0.05）, suggesting that, in coping with heat shock, cells of the PrA mutants increased their glucose consumption to survive. The present study may provide meaningful information for brewing industry; however, the role of PrA in industrial S. cerevisiae physiology is complex and needs to be further investigated.

BACKGROUND Cardiac embolism is a common cause of ischemic stroke in young *** complications associated with atrial myxoma most frequently include cerebral infarct due to *** complete resection of giant cardiac myxoma is the key to its treatment and prevention of stroke *** SUMMARY A 42-year-old,previously healthy woman was admitted to the hospital with sudden-onset inability to speak and right-sided *** sweeping the floor 2 h prior to hospital admission,the patient developed sudden inability to express herself or understand what others were saying,accompanied by dyskinesia of the right limb,inability to walk or hold objects,and involuntary choreiform movements of the left upper *** patient was diagnosed with cerebral embolism and cardiac myxoma,complicated by left middle cerebral artery *** acute stroke was treated with intravenous thrombolytic therapy and arterial embolectomy as a bridging therapy to open resection of left atrial cardiac *** patient condition improved remarkably following initial thrombolysis and embolectomy and subsequently underwent emergency open resection of the atrial cardiac *** had no recurrence during 1-year *** Strong consideration should be given to urgent intravenous thrombolysis(rt-PA,alteplase)in young adult stroke patients at the time of hospital *** present case demonstrated a highly successful outcome that combined thrombolysis and arterial embolus retrieval as a bridge to early complete resection of a giant cardiac myxoma for both stroke treatment and recurrence prevention.

MXenes are a family of two-dimensional(2D)transition metal carbides and nitrides with many intriguing properties and applications,many of which require surface ***,as-synthesized Ti_(3)C_(2) was modified using different treatments(acid and base treatments)and then characterized by a complementary combination of X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms,and pore size distribution *** results indicated that the structure and surface properties of the obtained Ti_(3)C_(2) could be tuned using various *** modification methods developed in this study may offer a new direction for tuning the structure and surface properties of MXenes for a wide range of applications.

Hydrogen storage thermodynamics and kinetics of as-cast Ce-Mg-Ni-based alloy

The reaction kinetics of alloys based on magnesium are known to be greatly improved by the partial substitution of Mg with rare earths and transition metals,particularly *** enhanced superficial hydrogen dissociation rate,the weakened Mg-H bond and the lower activation energy following element replacement are thought to be related to the better *** experimental alloys Ce5Mg_(95-x)Ni_(x)(x=5,10,15)were smelted by the vacuum induction *** phase transformation and structural evolution of experimental alloys before and after reaction with hydrogen were char-acterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** cast specimens contain CeMg_(12),Mg and Mg_(2)Ni phases,and the increase in Ni content results in an obvious growth of Mg_(2)Ni *** isothermal and non-isothermal hydrogenation and dehydrogenation kinetics of the experimental specimens were investi-gated using the Sievert apparatus,differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric *** activation energy may be calculated using the Arrhenius and Kissinger *** experimental alloys have been shown to have good activation properties,with a reversible hydriding and dehydriding capacities of around 5.0 wt.%in the first *** initial dehydrogenation temperature of MgH_(2) decreases from 557.5 to 537.7 K with changing Ni content from 5 to 15 at.%.The dehydrogenation activation energy also reduces from 77.09 to 62.96 kJ/mol,which explains the improved hydrogen storage performance caused by Ni *** can be shown that the impact of Ni on the decomposition enthalpy of MgH_(2) is quite modest,with the absolute enthalpy(ΔHr)only decreasing from 78.48 to 76.15 kJ/mol.

Salinity effect-induced ENSO amplitude modulation in association with the interdecadal Pacific Oscillation

A 110-year ensemble simulation of an ocean general circulation model(OGCM)was analyzed to identify the modulation of salinity interdecadal variability on El Niño-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)amplitude in the tropical Pacific during *** simulating results show that sea surface salinity(SSS)variation in the region exhibits notable and coherent interdecadal variability signal,which is closely associated with the Interdecadal Pacific Oscillation(IPO).As salinity increases or reduces,the SSS modulations on ENSO amplitude during its warm/cold events vary asymmetrically with positive/negative IPO ***,salinity interdecadal variability can enhance or reduce ENSO-related conditions in upper-ocean stratification,contributing noticeably to ENSO *** anomalies associated with the mixed layer depth and barrier layer thickness can modulate ENSO amplitude during positive and negative IPO phases,resulting in the asymmetry of sea surface temperature(SST)anomaly in the tropical *** positive IPO phases,SSS interdecadal variability contributes positively to El Niño amplitude but negatively to La Niña amplitude by enhancing or reducing SSS interannual variability,and vice versa during negative IPO ***,the results indicate that the modulation of the ENSO amplitude by the SSS interdecadal variability is 15%-28%during negative IPO phases and 30%-20%during positive IPO phases,***,the SSS interdecadal variability associated with IPO and its modulation on ENSO amplitude in the tropical Pacific are among factors essentially contributing ENSO diversity.

Neuroimmunology is an interdisciplinary branch of biomedical science that emerges from the intersection of studies on the nervous system and the immune *** complex interplay between the two systems has long been *** efforts directed at the underlying functional interface and associated pathophysiology,however,have garnered attention only in recent *** this narrative review,we highlight significant advances in research on neuroimmune interplay and modulation.A particular focus is on early-and middle-career neuroimmunologists in China and their achievements in frontier areas of"neuroimmune interface","neuro-endocrine-immune network and modulation","neuroimmune interactions in diseases","meningeal lymphatic and glymphatic systems in health and disease",and"tools and methodologies in neuroimmunology research".Key scientific questions and future directions for potential breakthroughs in neuroimmunology research are proposed.

Isolation and characterization of a novel strain(YH01) of Micropterus salmoides rhabdovirus and expression of its glycoprotein by the baculovirus expression system

As one of the most important aquatic fish,Micropterus salmoides suffers lethal and epidemic disease caused by rhabdovirus at the juvenile *** this study,a new strain of *** rhabdovirus(MSRV)was isolated from Yuhang,Zhejiang Province,China,and named *** virus infected the grass carp ovary(GCO)cell line and displayed virion particles with atypical bullet shape,300–500 nm in length and 100–200 nm in diameter under transmission electron *** complete genome sequence of this isolate was determined to include 11 526 nucleotides and to encode five classical structural *** construction of the phylogenetic tree indicated that this new isolate is clustered into the Vesiculovirus genus and most closely related to the Siniperca chuatsi *** explore the potential for a vaccine against MSRV,a glycoprotein(1–458 amino acid residues)of MSRV-YH01 was successfully amplified and cloned into the plasmid *** high-purity recombinant bacmid-glycoprotein was obtained from DH10Bac through screening and *** on polymerase chain reaction(PCR),western blot,and immunofluorescence assay,recombinant virus,including the MSRV-YH01 glycoprotein gene,was produced by transfection of SF9 cells using the pFastBac1-gE2,and then repeatedly amplified to express the glycoprotein *** anticipate that this recombinant bacmid system could be used to challenge the silkworm and develop a corresponding oral vaccine for fish.

Alloy strategy to synthesize Pt-early transition metal oxide interfacial catalysts

Metal oxide supported metal catalysts show promising catalytic performance in many industry-relevant ***,the enhancement of performance is often limited by the insufficient metal/metal oxide *** this work,we demonstrate a general synthesis of Pt-early transition metal oxide(Pt-MO_(x),M=Ti,Zr,V,and Y)catalysts with rich interfacial sites,which is based on the air-induced surface segregation and oxidation of M in the supported Pt-M alloy *** characterizations verify the dynamic structural response of Pt-M alloy catalysts to air and the formation of Pt-MO_(x) catalysts with abundant interfacial *** prepared Pt-TiO_(x) interfacial catalysts exhibit improved performance in hydrogenation reactions of benzaldehyde,nitrobenzene,styrene,and furfural,as a result of the heterolytic dissociation of H_(2) at Pt-metal oxide interfacial sites.

Fangji Fuling Decoction Alleviates Sepsis by Blocking MAPK14/FOXO3A Signaling Pathway

Objective:To examine the therapeutic effect of Fangji Fuling Decoction(FFD) on sepsis through network pharmacological analysis combined with in vitro and in vivo ***:A sepsis mouse model was constructed through intraperitoneal injection of 20 mg/kg lipopolysaccharide(LPS).RAW264.7 cells were stimulated by 250 ng/m L LPS to establish an in vitro cell *** pharmacology analysis identified the key molecular pathway associated with FFD in *** ectopic expression and depletion experiments,the effect of FFD on multiple organ damage in septic mice,as well as on cell proliferation and apoptosis in relation to the mitogen-activated protein kinase 14/Forkhead Box O 3A(MAPK14/FOXO3A) signaling pathway,was ***:FFD reduced organ damage and inflammation in LPS-induced septic mice and suppressed LPS-induced macrophage apoptosis and inflammation in vitro(P<0.05).Network pharmacology analysis showed that FFD could regulate the MAPK14/FOXO signaling pathway during *** confirmed by in vitro cell experiments,FFD inhibited the MAPK14 signaling pathway or FOXO3A expression to relieve LPS-induced macrophage apoptosis and inflammation(P<0.05).Furthermore,FFD inhibited the MAPK14/FOXO3A signaling pathway to inhibit LPS-induced macrophage apoptosis in the lung tissue of septic mice(P<0.05).Conclusion:FFD could ameliorate the LPS-induced inflammatory response in septic mice by inhibiting the MAPK14/FOXO3A signaling pathway.
