Population Genetic Structure of the Medicinal Plant Vitex rotundifolia in China: Implications for its Use and Conservation

Vitex rotundifolia L. is an important plant species used in traditional Chinese medicine. For its efficient use and conservation, genetic diversity and clonal variation of V. rotundifolia populations in China were investigated using inter-simple sequence repeat markers. Fourteen natural populations were included to estimate genetic diversity, and a large population with 135 individuals was used to analyze clonal variation and fine-scale spatial genetic structure. The overall genetic diversity （GD） of V. rotundifolia populations in China was moderate （GD=0.190）, with about 40% within-population variation. Across all populations surveyed, the average within-population diversity was moderate （P = 22.6%; GD = 0.086）. A relatively high genetic differentiation （Gst = 0.587） among populations was detected based on the analysis of molecular variance data. Such characteristics of V. rotundifofia are likely attributed to its sexual/asexual reproduction and limited gene flow. The genotypic diversity （D = 0.992） was greater than the average values of a clonal plant, indicating its significant reproduction through seedlings. Spatial autocorrelation analysis showed a clear within-population structure with gene clusters of approximately 20 m. Genetic diversity patterns of V. rotundifolia in China provide a useful guide for its efficient use and conservation by selecting particular populations displaying greater variation that may contain required medicinal compounds, and by sampling individuals in a population at 〉20 m spatial intervals to avoid collecting individuals with identical or similar genotypes.

Visible-light-responsive homologous heterostructure of oxynitrides constructed to boost charge separation and water splitting

Constructing typeⅡheterostructures represents a widely recognized strategy for enhancing charge separation and photocatalytic efficiency,but it remains challenging to fabricate homologous heterostructures based on visible-light-responsive semiconductors,especially for popularly investigated(oxy)nitrides with low thermal ***,we synthesized a homologous heterostructure(denoted as YTON_H)based on the oxynitrides of YTaO_(4-x)N_(y)and YTa ON_(2).This heterostructure exhibits type Ⅱ band structure alignment and intimate interface achieved through a magnesium(Mg)powder-assisted nitridation *** with widely reported heterologous heterostructures,the as-obtained YTON_H homologous heterostructure could similarly exhibit enhanced charge separation as well as photocatalytic water splitting performance with respect to its counterparts(YTaO_(4-x)N_(y)and YTaON_(2)).Meanwhile,detailed structural characterizations and spectroscopy analysis have been made to confirm the formation of heterostructure and promotion of spatial charge separation.

The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider(RHIC)at Brookhaven National Laboratory(BNL).It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the po-larized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma(sQGP)produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e^(+)e^(−)annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimen-tal advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.

Least Square Estimation for Multiple Functional Linear Model with Autoregressive Errors

As an extension of linear regression in functional data analysis, functional linear regression has been studied by many researchers and applied in various fields. However, in many cases, data is collected sequentially over time, for example the financial series, so it is necessary to consider the autocorrelated structure of errors in functional regression background. To this end, this paper considers a multiple functional linear model with autoregressive errors. Based on the functional principal component analysis, we apply the least square procedure to estimate the functional coefficients and autoregression coefficients. Under some regular conditions, we establish the asymptotic properties of the proposed estimators. A simulation study is conducted to investigate the finite sample performance of our estimators. A real example on China's weather data is applied to illustrate the validity of our model.

From waste to wealth:Coal tar residue derived carbon materials as low-cost anodes for potassium-ion batteries

Carbon materials are widely recognized as highly promising electrode materials for various energy storage system *** tar residues(CTR),as a type of carbon-rich solid waste with high value-added utilization,are crucially important for the development of a more sustainable *** this study,we employed a straightforward direct carbonization method within the temperature range of 700-1000℃to convert the worthless solid waste CTR into economically valuable carbon materials as anodes for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).The effect of carbonization temperature on the microstructure and the potassium ions storage properties of CTR-derived carbons(CTRCs)were systematically explored by structural and morphological characterization,alongside electrochemical performances *** on the co-regulation between the turbine layers,crystal structure,pore structure,functional groups,and electrical conductivity of CTR-derived carbon carbonized at 900℃(CTRC-900H),the electrode material with high reversible capacity of 265.6m Ah·g^(-1)at 50 m A·g^(-1),a desirable cycling stability with 93.8%capacity retention even after 100 cycles,and the remarkable rate performance for PIBs were ***,cyclic voltammetry(CV)at different scan rates and galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)have been employed to explore the potassium ions storage mechanism and electrochemical kinetics of *** indicate that the electrode behavior is predominantly governed by surface-induced capacitive processes,particularly under high current densities,with the potassium storage mechanism characterized by an“adsorption-weak intercalation”*** work highlights the potential of CTR-based carbon as a promising electrode material category suitable for high-performance PIBs electrodes,while also provides valuable insights into the new avenues for the high value-added utilization of CTR.

Three-dimensional internal multiple elimination in complex structures using Marchenko autofocusing theory

Internal multiples are commonly present in seismic data due to variations in velocity or density of subsurface media. They can reduce the signal-to-noise ratio of seismic data and degrade the quality of the image. With the development of seismic exploration into deep and ultradeep events, especially those from complex targets in the western region of China, the internal multiple eliminations become increasingly challenging. Currently, three-dimensional(3D) seismic data are primarily used for oil and gas target recognition and drilling. Effectively eliminating internal multiples in 3D seismic data of complex structures and mitigating their adverse effects is crucial for enhancing the success rate of drilling. In this study, we propose an internal multiple prediction algorithm for 3D seismic data in complex structures using the Marchenko autofocusing theory. This method can predict the accurate internal multiples of time difference without an accurate velocity model and the implementation process mainly consists of several steps. Firstly, simulating direct waves with a 3D macroscopic velocity ***, using direct waves and 3D full seismic acquisition records to obtain the upgoing and downgoing Green's functions between the virtual source point and surface. Thirdly, constructing internal multiples of the relevant layers by upgoing and downgoing Green's functions. Finally, utilizing the adaptive matching subtraction method to remove predicted internal multiples from the original data to obtain seismic records without multiples. Compared with the two-dimensional(2D) Marchenko algorithm, the performance of the 3D Marchenko algorithm for internal multiple prediction has been significantly enhanced, resulting in higher computational accuracy. Numerical simulation test results indicate that our proposed method can effectively eliminate internal multiples in 3D seismic data,thereby exhibiting important theoretical and industrial application value.

Development and application of an intelligent thermal state monitoring system for sintering machine tails based on CNN-LSTM hybrid neural networks

Real-time prediction and precise control of sinter quality are pivotal for energy saving,cost reduction,quality improvement and efficiency enhancement in the ironmaking *** advance,the accuracy and comprehensiveness of sinter quality prediction,an intelligent flare monitoring system for sintering machine tails that combines hybrid neural networks integrating convolutional neural network with long short-term memory(CNN-LSTM)networks was *** system utilized a high-temperature thermal imager for image acquisition at the sintering machine tail and employed a zone-triggered method to accurately capture dynamic feature images under challenging conditions of high-temperature,high dust,and *** feature images were then segmented through a triple-iteration multi-thresholding approach based on the maximum between-class variance method to minimize detail loss during the segmentation *** the advantages of CNN and LSTM networks in capturing temporal and spatial information,a comprehensive model for sinter quality prediction was constructed,with inputs including the proportion of combustion layer,porosity rate,temperature distribution,and image features obtained from the convolutional neural network,and outputs comprising quality indicators such as underburning index,uniformity index,and FeO content of the *** accuracy is notably increased,achieving a 95.8%hit rate within an error margin of±*** the system is applied,the average qualified rate of FeO content increases from 87.24%to 89.99%,representing an improvement of 2.75%.The average monthly solid fuel consumption is reduced from 49.75 to 46.44 kg/t,leading to a 6.65%reduction and underscoring significant energy saving and cost reduction effects.

Flexible energy storage devices have been paid much attention and adapts to apply in various *** from the active sites of boron(B)and phosphorus(P)doping materials,co-doped carbon materials are widely used in energy storage devices for the enhanced electrochemical ***,B and P co-doped flexible carbon nanofibers with nitrogen-rich(B-P/NC)are investigated with electro-spinning for sodium-ion *** flexible of binderless B-P/NC with annealing of 600℃(B-P/NC-600)exhibits the remarkable performance for the robust capacity of 200 mAh/g at 0.1 A/g after 500 cycles and a durable reversible capacity of 160 m Ah/g even at 1 A/g after 12,000 cycles,exhibiting the equally commendable stability of flexible B-P/*** addition,B-P/NC-600 delivers the reversible capacity of265 m Ah/g with the test temperature of 60℃.More importantly,the flexible B-P/NC-600 is fabricated as anode for the whole battery,delivering the capacity of 90 m Ah/g at 1 A/g after 200 ***,theoretical calculation further verified that boron and phosphorus co-doping can improve the adsorption capacity of nitrogen carbon *** favorable performance of flexible B-P/NC-600 can be ascribed to the nitrogen-rich carbon nanofibers with three-dimensional network matrix for the more active site of boron and phosphorus *** work paves the way for the improvement of flexible anodes and wide-operating temperature of sodium-ion batteries by doping approach of much heteroatom.
