A fully digital data acquisition system based on a field-programmable gate array(FPGA) was developed for a CsI(Tl) array at the external target facility(ETF) in the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou(HIRFL). To process the CsI(Tl) signals generated by γ-rays and light-charged ions, a scheme for digital pulse processing algorithms is proposed. Every step in the algorithms was benchmarked using standard γ and α sources. The scheme, which included a moving average filter, baseline restoration, leading-edge discrimination, moving window deconvolution, and digital charge comparison, was subsequently implemented on the FPGA. A good energy resolution of 5.7% for 1.33-MeV γ-rays and excellent α-γ identification using the digital charge comparison method were achieved, which satisfies CsI(Tl) array performance requirements.

We predict proton single event effect(SEE)error rates for the VATA160 ASIC chip on the Dark Matter Particle Explorer(DAMPE) to evaluate its radiation *** proton test facilities,we built a Monte Carlo simulation tool named PRESTAGE to calculate the proton SEE *** is based on the particle transport toolkit *** adopts a location-dependent strategy to derive the SEE sensitivity of the device from heavy-ion test data,which have been measured at the HI-13 tandem accelerator of the China Institute of Atomic Energy and the heavy-ion research facility in *** AP-8,SOLPRO,and August 1972 worst-case models are used to predict the average and peak proton fluxes on the DAMPE *** results show that the averaged proton SEE error rate for the VATA160 chip is approximately 2.17×10^(-5)/device/***-case error rates for the Van Allen belts and solar energetic particle events are 1-3 orders of magnitude higher than the averaged error rate.

Artificial molecular muscles undergo well-controlled contractile and extensile motions upon external stimulation,leading to remarkable length *** such length changes at the molecular level is essential to the design of integrated artificial molecular muscles that mimic biological *** advantage of the strong contrast of platinum(Pt)atoms in high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy images,we imaged Pt-containing molecular[c2]daisy chains directly by employing metal atom *** length changes and associated conformational transformations of these newly developed artificial molecular muscles have been measured experimentally in combination with theoretical *** contraction ratios of these two molecular muscles with the TEMPO or pyrene anchoring group were calculated to be 21.0%or 15.7%respectively,suggesting a substantial anchoring *** study demonstrates the experimental measurement of the length changes of artificial molecular muscles and provides a new avenue for investigating the motion of artificial molecular machines.

Objective:To study whether sevoflurane pretreatment inhibits the myocardial apoptosis caused by hypoxia reoxygenation through AMPK ***:H9c2 myocardial cell lines were cultured and divided into control group(C group),hypoxia reoxygenation group(H/R group),sevoflurane pretreatment+hypoxia reoxygenation group(SP group) and sevoflurane combined with Compound C pretreatment+hypoxia reoxygenation group(ComC group),and the cell proliferation activity and apoptosis rate,myocardial enzyme levels in culture medium as well as the expression of apoptosis genes and p-AMPK in cells were ***:p-AMPK expression in cells of H/R group was significantly lower than that of C group,SP group was significantly higher than that of H/R group;cell proliferation activity value and Bcl-2 expression in cells of H/R group were significantly lower than those of C group,SP group were significantly higher than those of H/R group,Com C group were significantly lower than those of SP group;apoptosis rate,LDH,CK and AST levels as well as the Bax and Caspase-3 expression in cells of H/R group were significantly higher than those of C group,SP group were significantly lower than those of H/R group,ComC group were significantly higher than those of SP ***:Sevoflurane pretreatment can activate AMPK signaling pathway to inhibit the myocardial apoptosis caused by hypoxia reoxygenation.

Self-assembly of predesigned chiral molecules to form structurally diverse functional materials has been one of the most exciting recent developments in materials science and nanotechnology over the past ***,the rationally designed chiral supermolecules and their hierarchical assemblies result in superior microenvironments,in which they interact distinctly with molecularly asymmetric guests for enantiospecific *** chemistry of chiral supermolecule-based materials(CSMs)has become a lively research topic,and thus this review seeks to shed light on a range of synthetic CSMs at differing length scales developed in the past 5 years,with emphasis on the representative work from *** review includes cavity-containing chiral supermolecules,chiral polymers,and chiral crystalline materials,aiming to tackle important issues from their design,synthesis,and structure to cutting-edge ***,in turn,allows for fundamental understanding of the transfer,amplification,and functional expression of chirality from the molecular to the supramolecular to the macroscopic ***,we provide perspectives on the promises,opportunities,and key challenges for the future development of useful chiral functional materials.

Hafnium carbide (HfC) was applied in space and aerospace due to its ultra high melting temperature, high specific strength and moderate oxidation resistance. A novel synthesizing method was used to produce low density and high strength HfC structural foams through the thermolysis and pyrolysis of Hf containing polymer precursors (mixing of hafnium trifluoroacetylacetonate and epoxy) under vacuum atmosphere. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the produced foam is primarily composed of HfC containing 9%-10% HfO2. Several polymer powder compaction methods were used to improve the mechanical properties of HfC foam. Compression strengths of 200 MPa are achieved for HfC foams with density of 1.9 g/cm3 (total porosity about 85%). The proposed methodology of synthesizing HfC foam has the advantages of simple, inexpensive and less production time than alternate methods.

Finding the novel drug from the effective components of traditional Chinese herbal medicine is a hotspot of the modem pharmacological research. Hyperoside （HYP） belongs to flavonoid glycosides, and it has various properties, such as anti-inflammation, anti-spasm, anti-diuretic, antitussive, lowering blood pressure, and lowering cholesterol effects as well as protective effects for the cardiac and cerebral blood vessels. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of HYP on inflammatory and apoptotic responses in vascular endothelial cells stimulated by lipopolysaccharide （LPS） and further to identify the possible mechanisms underlying these effects. In our study, human umbilical vein endothelial cells （HUVECs） were stimulated with 1 Bg/mL LPS in the presence or absence of HYP （10, 20 and 50 μmol/L）. Our results indicated that HYP alone exerted no cytotoxicity on HUVECs, while it had an upregulatory effect on the viability of HUVECs induced by LPS in a dose-dependent manner; increased mRNA expression of IL-1β, IL-6, TNFα and iNOS induced by LPS was attenuated after treatment with HYP both in a dose- and time-dependent manner; LPS-induced HUVECs apoptosis and cleaved-caspase 8, 9, 3 were all significantly reduced by HYP. Furthermore, the possible pathway involved in apoptosis and inflammation by HYP was detected, and the results showed that when treated with HYP, LPS-induced mitochondrial membrane instability was significantly inhibited through up-regulation of Bcl-2 and down-regulation of Bax. Furthermore, the expression of TLR4 and the phosphorylation of IκBα and p65 in LPS-treated cells were blocked by HYP. Our results suggested that HYP treatment prevented HUVECs from LPS- induced inflammation and apoptosis responses, which might be mediated by inhibiting TLR4/ NFκB pathway.

The high energy cosmic-radiation detection(HERD)facility is planned to launch in 2027 and scheduled to be installed on the China Space *** serves as a dark matter particle detector,a cosmic ray instrument,and an observatory for high-energy gamma rays.A transition radiation detector placed on one of its lateral sides serves dual purpose,(ⅰ)calibrating HERD's electromagnetic calorimeter in the TeV energy range,and(ⅱ)serving as an independent detector for high-energy gamma *** this paper,the prototype readout electronics design of the transition radiation detector is demonstrated,which aims to accurately measure the charge of the anodes using the SAMPA application specific integrated circuit *** electronic performance of the prototype system is evaluated in terms of noise,linearity,and *** the presented design,each electronic channel can achieve a dynamic range of 0–100 fC,the RMS noise level not exceeding 0.15 fC,and the integral nonlinearity was<0.2%.To further verify the readout electronic performance,a joint test with the detector was carried out,and the results show that the prototype system can satisfy the requirements of the detector's scientific goals.
