Objective: To study the effect of fructose 1,6-diphosphate(FDP) on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rats and its molecular ***: Male SPF SD rats were selected as experimental animals and randomly divided into four *** group received sham operation, I/R group were made into myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury models, FDP group were made into myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury models and then were given FDP intervention, and FDP+AG490 group were made into myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury models and then were given FDP and JAK2 inhibitor AG490 ***: CK, CK-MB, c Tn I and LDH contents in serum as well as Bax and Caspase-3 protein expression in myocardial tissue of I/R group were significantly higher than those of Sham group whereas Bcl-2, p-JAK2 and p-STAT3 protein expression in myocardial tissues were significantly lower than those of Sham group; CK, CK-MB, c Tn I and LDH contents in serum as well as Bax and Caspase-3 protein expression in myocardial tissue of FDP group were significantly lower than those of I/R group whereas Bcl-2, p-JAK2 and p-STAT3 protein expression in myocardial tissue were significantly higher than those of I/R group; CK, CK-MB, c Tn I and LDH contents in serum as well as Bax and Caspase-3 protein expression in myocardial tissue of FDP+AG490 group were significantly higher than those of FDP group whereas Bcl-2 protein expression in myocardial tissue was significantly lower than that of FDP ***: FDP could reduce the myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rats by activating the JAK2/STAT3 pathway.

As a dynamic energy storage system,electric vehicles(EV)play important roles in future power *** this paper,a model for EV aggregator participation in the electricity market has been built with a focus on the feasibility issue of the model arising from economic interest inconsistencies between different stakeholders:EV owners and *** the model,the EV aggregator attends day-ahead energy and reserve markets for profit maximization by scheduling charging and discharging behaviors of *** issue exists since different stakeholders have different interests which are not necessarily consistent,*** maximization leads to increasing EV owners'charging *** investigate the economic relationship between the two stakeholders,two multi-objective optimization methods(weighted sum and$\varepsilon$-constraint methods)are proposed to take the aggregator profit and EV owners'charging fee into account in the model.A sensitivity analysis is applied to examine the aggregator profit under different price scenarios,which reveals the internal relationship between EV owners'charging fees and aggregator *** proposed EV charging and discharging strategy in this paper could be used to determine the settlement price between the aggregator and owners to ensure the feasibility of participation from both EV owners and stakeholders in electricity markets.

Land subsidence induced by groundwater extraction and building damage level assessment—a case study of Datun, China

As in many parts of the world, long-term excessive extraction of groundwater has caused significant land-surface sub- sidence in the residential areas of Datun coal mining district in East China. The recorded maximum level of subsidence in the area since 1976 to 2006 is 863 mm, and the area with an accumulative subsidence more than 200 mm has reached 33.1 km2 by the end of 2006. Over ten cases of building crack due to ground subsidence have already been observed. Spatial variation in ground subsi- dence often leads to a corresponding pattern of ground deformation. Buildings and underground infrastructures have been under a higher risk of damage in locations with greater differential ground deformation. Governmental guideline in China classifies build- ing damages into four different levels, based on the observable measures such as the width of wall crack, the degree of door and window deformation, the degree of wall inclination and the degree of structural destruction. Building damage level (BDL) is esti- mated by means of ground deformation analysis in terms of variations in slope gradient and curvature. Ground deformation analysis in terms of variations in slope gradient has shown that the areas of BDL III and BDL II sites account for about 0.013 km2 and 0.284 km2 respectively in 2006, and the predicted areas of BDL (define this first) III and II sites will be about 0.029 km2 and 0.423 km2 respectively by 2010. The situation is getting worse as subsidence continues. That calls for effective strategies for subsidence miti- gation and damage reduction, in terms of sustainable groundwater extraction, enhanced monitoring and the establishment of early warning systems.

CO_(2),one of the main components of greenhouse gases,increased rapidly because of the growing use of fossil *** CaO sorbents possess the capability to be used in capture of CO_(2) at high *** the work,Ca-Al complex oxides derived from citrate and stearate intercalated layered double hydroxides were fabricated and their CO_(2) adsorption capacity was compared with that from CO_(3)^(2-)intercalated layered double *** results presented that the sorbents(Ca/Al=5)with Ca-Al-citrate layered double hydroxides as precursors performed best and displayed remarkable CO_(2) capture capacity of 52.0%(mass)at the carbonization temperature of 600℃without distinct recession during cycling adsorption/desorption *** excellent CO_(2) adsorption capacity of the sorbent was ascribed to its smaller crystallite size of calcinated particles,optimized pore size distribution as well as homogeneous distributed Ca and Al in the sorbent.

The energy density of Li-ion batteries is closely related to the capacity and average voltage of cathode ***,current cathode materials either have low capacity or voltage,which limits the development of high-energy-density Li-ion *** has given challenge to many attempts to develop new cathode materials with high capacity and *** this study,we find that Li easily inserts into the(111)plane of SiC in the presence of Si,and a well-organized Li-rich SiC twin crystal is ***-visible diffuse reflectance spectra and electrochemical test results suggest that this Li-rich SiC twin crystal possesses the band gap energy of 3.5 eV and charging capacity of 1979 mAh/g at the current density of 200 mA/g,making it a promising candidate for the cathode material in high-capacity Li-ion batteries.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy results reveal that Si-induced Li insertion contributes to the changes in the surface species and structure of pristine *** findings suggest that the Li-rich SiC twin crystal raises new possibilities for the development of high-capacity cathode materials and merits further investigation to expand its application scope.

Phosphorus concentration on the surface of seawater varies greatly with different environments,especially in *** molecular mechanism by which cyanobacteria adapt to fluctuating phosphorus bioavailability is still *** this study,transcriptomes and gene knockouts were used to investigate the adaptive molecular mechanism of a model coastal cyanobacterium Synechococcus *** 7002 during periods of phosphorus starvation and phosphorus recovery(adding sufficient phosphorus after phosphorus starvation).The findings indicated that phosphorus deficiency affected the photosynthesis,ribosome synthesis,and bacterial motility pathways,which recommenced after phosphorus was *** more,most of the metabolic pathways of cyanobacteria were enhanced after phosphorus recovery compared to the control which was kept in continuous phosphorus replete *** on transcriptome,54 genes potentially related to phosphorusdeficiency adaptation were selected and knocked out individually or in *** was found that five mutants showed weak growth phenotype under phosphorus deficiency,indicating the importance of the genes(A0076,A0549-50,A1094,A1320,A1895)in the adaptation of phosphorus *** mutants were found to grow better than the wild type under phosphorus deficiency,suggesting that the products of these genes(A0079,A0340,A2284–86)might influence the adaptation to phosphorus *** analysis revealed that cyanobacteria exposed to highly fluctuating phosphorus concentrations have more sophisticated phosphorus acquisition *** results elucidated that Synechococcus *** 7002 have variable phosphorus response mechanisms to adapt to fluctuating phosphorus concentration,providing a novel perspective of how cyanobacteria may respond to the complex and dynamic environments.

Bone tissue engineering has emerged as a promising alternative therapy for patients who suffer bone fractures or defects caused by trauma,congenital diseases or ***,the reconstruction of bone defects combined with osteoporosis remains a great challenge for clinicians and *** on our previous study,Ca–Si-based bioceramics(MSCs)showed enhanced bone formation capabilities under normal conditions,and strontium was demonstrated to be therapeutic in promoting bone quality in osteoporosis ***,in the present study,we attempted to enlarge the application range of MSCs with Sr incorporation in an osteoporotic bone regeneration model to evaluate whether Sr could assist in regeneration *** vitro readout suggested that Sr-incorporated MSC scaffolds could enhance the expression level of osteogenic and angiogenic markers of osteoporotic bone mesenchymal stem cells(OVX BMSCs).Animal experiments showed a larger new bone area;in particular,there was a tendency for blood vessel formation to be enhanced in the Sr-MSC scaffold group,showing its positive osteogenic capacity in bone *** study systematically illustrated the effective delivery of a low-cost therapeutic Sr agent in an osteoporotic model and provided new insight into the treatment of bone defects in osteoporosis patients.

The real time and in situ investigation of the crystallization process and structure transitions of asymmetric crystalline-crystalline diblock copolymers from the melt was performed with synchrotron simultaneous SAXS/WAXS. The asymmetric poly（ethylene oxide）-b-poly（ε-caprolactone） diblock copolymers were chosen for the present study. It was shown that the short blocks crystallized later than the long blocks and final lamellar structure was formed in all of the asymmetric diblock copolymers. The final lamellar structure was confirmed by AFM observation. The SAXS data were analyzed with different methods for the early stage of the crystallization. The Guinier plots indicated that there were no isolated domains formed before the formation of lamellae in the asymmetric diblock copolymers during the crystallization process. Debye- Bueche plots implied the formation of correlated domains during crystallization.
