First-principle calculations were performed to study the adsorption of boron and its relationship with the morphologies of Ti *** is found that although the adsorption of boron on all the low-index Ti C crystal planes is thermally favorable,it will be adsorbed more easily by C-terminated {111} and {011} planes,while less possible to be adsorbed by {001}.The study of the formation of B–B clusters indicates that the distribution of boron adatoms on C-terminated（111） and {011} planes will be more uniform,and the diffusion of the adatom further confirms the above *** to the geometry relationship and growth rate of different crystal planes,it is deduced that the adsorption of boron on Ti C will seriously impede the growth of {111} and {011} planes,which can make Ti C grow into hexagonal platelets.

We have investigated the properties of cellulose diacetate in solution by using laser light scattering. The cellulose diacetate molecules can form micelles and micellar clusters in acetone besides the individual chains. As the concentration increases, the average hydrodynamic radius （Rh） linearly increases, whereas the ratio of gyration radius to hydrodynamic radins 〈Rg〉/〈Rh〉 linearly decreases. It indicates that the micelles associate and form micellar clusters due to the intermolecular interactions.

Silicon has been investigated extensively as a promising anode material for rechargeable lithium-ion bat- teries. Understanding the failure mechanism of silicon-based anode electrodes for lithium-ion batteries is essential to solve the problem of low coulombic efficiency and capacity fading on cycling and also to further commercialize this very new energetic material in cells. To reach this goal, the structure changes of bulk silicon particles and electrode after cycling were studied using ex-situ scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and X-ray diffraction （XRD） techniques. The SEM images indicated that the microstructural changes of the bulk silicon particles during cycling led to a layer rupture of the electrode and then the breakdown of the conductive network and the failure of the electrode. The result contributes to the basic understanding of the failure mechanism of a bulk sil- icon anode electrode for lithium-ion batteries.

To select a proper displacement medium with the purpose of developing ultra-low permeability reservoirs both effectively and economically, three kinds of gases, including CO2, NG and N2, are studied through physical modeling and numerical simulation under the specified reservoir conditions. The results indicate that the oil recovery through water injection is relatively low in ultra-low permeability reservoirs, where the water breaks through early and the water cut rises rapidly. Gas injection can enhance the production, of which the gas-drive efficiency depends on the injection pressure and the gas itself. CO2 is proved to be the best one after comprehensive consideration of the recovery speed, the overall recovery efficiency and the time needed for gas to break through. The pressure of CO2 injection in the field experiments is lower, compared with that of water-drive. The injectivity index of CO2 is 7.2 times as high as that of water, and the oil production of the test well group increases by about 4 t/d.

Isotactic polybutene-1 (iPB-1) is a semi-crystalline polymer with polymorph and puzzled structural transitions. The stable form I of iPB-1 with excellent physical and mechanical properties can hardly be obtained directly from the melt;instead, metastable form II will spontaneously and slowly transform into form I. Bypassing the unstable form II formation is of great significance in polymer processing, which inspires extensive research on seeking the pathways to direct formation of form I. Methods for accelerating form II to I transition are another main focus in terms of practical approach for directly obtaining form I. Taking advantage of the solvent, an ultrafast transition of iPB-1 from form II to I within minutes has been achieved at room temperature. Such an ultrafast transition is detected after treating with dichloromethane (DCM) at 30 ℃, though the framework of isothermally crystalized iPB-1 spherulite morphology could not be fully modified. The ultrafast II-I transition of iPB-1 is attributed to the solvent-induced packed-mesophase and temperature-selected chain conformation *** ultrafast transition would shed light on understanding the mechanisms of polymorphic transitions in iPB-1.

The coupled semi-discrete modified Korteweg-de Vries equation in （2＋1）-dimensions is proposed, it is shown that it, can be decomposed into two （1＋1）-dimensional differential-difference equations belonging to mKdV lattice hierarchy by considering a discrete isospeetral problem. A Darboux transformation is set up for the resulting （2＋1）- dimensional lattice soliton equation with the help of gauge transformations of Lax pairs. As an illustration by example, the soliton solutions of the mKdV lartice equation in （2＋1）-dimensions are explicitly given,

A hybrid analysis method in time and frequency domains for linear soil-structure interaction is presented. First, the time domain solution of the system with Rayleigh damping excited by a short time impulse is obtained by the decoupling numerical simulation technique of near-field wave motion. Then, the corresponding frequency domain solution can be got by Fourier transform. According to the relationship between damping value and dynamic re-sponse of a system, the solution of the system with complex damping can be got by Taylor expansion. The hybrid method makes the best of decoupling and explicit algorithm in time domain, and increases the calculation efficien-cy for linear soil-structure interaction analysis.

Our previous study showed that cell cycle exit and neuronal differentiation 1(CEND1)may participate in neural stem cell cycle exit and oriented ***,whether CEND1-transfected neural stem cells can improve the prognosis of traumatic brain injury remained *** this study,we performed quantitative proteomic analysis and found that after traumatic brain injury,CEND1 expression was downregulated in mouse brain *** days after traumatic brain injury,we transplanted CEND1-transfected neural stem cells into the area surrounding the injury *** found that at 5 weeks after traumatic brain injury,transplantation of CEND1-transfected neural stem cells markedly alleviated brain atrophy and greatly improved neurological *** vivo and in vitro results indicate that CEND1 overexpression inhibited the proliferation of neural stem cells,but significantly promoted their neuronal ***,CEND1 overexpression reduced protein levels of Notch1 and cyclin D1,but increased levels of p21 in CEND1-transfected neural stem *** with CEND1-transfected neural stem cells was superior to similar treatment without CEND1 *** findings suggest that transplantation of CEND1-transfected neural stem cells is a promising cell therapy for traumatic brain *** study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of the School of Biomedical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University,China(approval No.2016034)on November 25,2016.
