Daily newspapers publish a tremendous amount of information disseminated through the *** available and easily accessible large online repositories are not indexed and are in an un-processable *** major hindrance in developing and evaluating existing/new monolingual text in an image is that it is not linked and *** is no method to reuse the online news images because of the unavailability of standardized benchmark corpora,especially for South Asian *** corpus is a vital resource for developing and evaluating text in an image to reuse local news systems in general and specifically for the Urdu *** of indexing,primarily semantic indexing of the daily news items,makes news items impracticable for any ***,the most straightforward search facility does not support these unindexed news *** study addresses this gap by associating and marking the newspaper images with one of the widely spoken but under-resourced languages,i.e.,*** present work proposed a method to build a benchmark corpus of news in image form by introducing a web *** corpus is then semantically linked and annotated with daily news *** techniques are proposed for image annotation,free annotation and fixed cross examination *** second technique got higher *** news ontology in protégéusing OntologyWeb Language(OWL)language and indexed the annotations under *** application is also built and linked with protégéso that the readers and journalists have an interface to query the news items ***,news items linked together will provide complete coverage and bring together different opinions at a single location for readers to do the analysis themselves.

Asymmetric nexus between commercial policies and consumption‑based carbon emissions:new evidence from Pakistan

The current study extends the previous literature by exploring the effects of a newly discovered driver,i.e.,import taxes(as a proxy for commercial policies),on the consumption-based carbon emissions(CCO2e)for *** empirical analysis,several tests and methods,including Augmented Dickey–Fuller unit root test,Zivot–Andrews unit root test,asymmetric cointegration bound testing approach,non-linear ARDL,Wald-test,Granger causality test and wavelet quantile correlation(WQC)method are ***,NARDL technique estimates reveal that contractionary commercial policy enhances the environmental quality by disrupting the detrimental effects of ***,expansionary commercial policy escalates the environmental pollution by boosting the carbon ***,the exports and the renewable energy improve the ecological quality;however,GDP deteriorates the atmospheric quality by increasing the ***,WQC method and the trivariate Granger causality test are deployed to confirm the robustness of the *** on the findings,some crucial policies are also recommended for sustainable and green development in Pakistan.

Hard exudates referral system in eye fundus utilizing speeded up robust features

In the paper a referral system to assist the medical experts in the screening/referral of diabetic retinopathy is suggested. The system has been developed by a sequential use of different existing mathematical techniques. These techniques involve speeded up robust features（SURF）, K-means clustering and visual dictionaries（VD）. Three databases are mixed to test the working of the system when the sources are dissimilar. When experiments were performed an area under the curve（AUC） of 0.9343 was attained. The results acquired from the system are promising.

Case-Based Learning （CBL） has become an effective pedagogy for student-centered learning in medical education, which is founded on persistent patient cases. Flippped learning and Internet of Things （IoTs） concepts have gained significant attention in recent years. Using these concepts in conjunction with CBL can improve learning ability by providing real evolutionary medical eases. It also enables students to build confidence in their decision making, and efficiently enhances teamwork in the learning environment. We propose an IoT-based Flip Learning Platform, called IoTFLiP, where an IoT infrastrneture is exploited to support flipped case-based learning in a cloud environment with state of the art security and privacy measures for personalized medical data. It also provides support for application delivery in private, public, and hybrid approaches. The proposed platform is an extension of our Interactive Case-Based Flipped Learning Tool （ICBFLT）, which has been developed based on current CBL practices. ICBFLT formulates summaries of CBL cases through synergy between students＇ and medical expert knowledge. The low cost and reduced size of sensor device, support of IoTs, and recent flipped learning advancements can enhance medical students＇ academic and practical experiences. In order to demonstrate a working scenario for the proposed IoTFLiP platform, real-time data from IoTs gadgets is collected to generate a real-world case for a medical student using ICBFLT.

Disease diagnosis is a challenging task due to a large number of associated *** in the diagnosis process arises frominaccuracy in patient attributes,missing data,and limitation in the medical expert’s ability to define cause and effect relationships when there are multiple interrelated *** paper aims to demonstrate an integrated view of deploying smart disease diagnosis using the Internet of Things(IoT)empowered by the fuzzy inference system(FIS)to diagnose various *** Fuzzy Systemis one of the best systems to diagnose medical conditions because every disease diagnosis involves many uncertainties,and fuzzy logic is the best way to handle *** proposed system differentiates new cases provided symptoms of the ***,it becomes a time-sensitive task to discriminate symptomatic *** proposed system can track symptoms firmly to diagnose diseases through IoT and FIS smartly and *** coefficients have been employed to predict and compute the identified disease’s severity for each sign of *** study aims to differentiate and diagnose COVID-19,Typhoid,Malaria,and *** study used the FIS method to figure out the disease over the use of given data related to correlating with input *** tool is utilised for the implementation of *** procedure on the aforementioned given data presents that affectionate disease can derive from the *** results of our proposed method proved that FIS could be utilised for the diagnosis of other *** study may assist doctors,patients,medical practitioners,and other healthcare professionals in early diagnosis and better treat diseases.

Evaluation of Various Mango Varieties against the Infection Dynamics of Powdery Mildew (<i>Oidium mangiferae</i>Bert.)

Mango (Mangifera indica L: Anacardiaceae) is regarded as the most liked fruit in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Powdery mildew of mango caused by Oidium mangiferae Bert. is one of the major plant pathological constraints in growing healthy mango orchards. The apparent symptoms of the disease occurred on young tissues of all parts of flowers, leaves and fruits. Severe blossom infection could result in complete damage to fruit;flower failed to open and drop off from the inflorescence. The inflorescence revealed a pattern of disease from tip to downward and showed itself by the emergence of wefts of white mycelium on the affected parts. Twenty-five mango varieties i.e. Langra, Dusehri, Ratole No.12, Fajri, Sindhri, Chaunsa Samar Bahisht, Anwar ratole, Neelam, Yakta, Tota Pari, Sensation, Saroli, Malda, Ghulab e Khas, Chaunsa Black, Chaunsa white, Anmol, Almas, Shan e Ali, Shan e Mustafa, Mahmood Khan, Armughan, Zafaran, Malda Late and Early Gold were evaluated through the observation of symptoms on young inflorescence to determine the disease incidence, disease severity index and average yield of fruit. The study was carried out in a randomized compete block design with twenty-five treatments and three replications. The mango varieties presented different performance in relation to powdery mildew incidence and could be categorized into eight groups. Maximum disease incidence was observed (33.33%, 26.66% and 26.66%, 26.66%) on Dusehri, Chaunsa Samar Bahisht, Malda and Ratole No.12 respectively and minimum disease incidence was (3.66% and 3.66%) noted on Almas and Sensation. These two varieties showed to be tolerant against the disease. It might be concluded that the presence or absence of symptoms caused by the powdery mildew had no such effect on the fruit yield of the mango cultivars.

OILCROP-SUN Model Relevance for Evaluation of Nitrogen Management of Sunflower Hybrids in Sargodha, Punjab

The experiments were conducted to evaluate the performance of crop system (DSSAT) OILCROP-SUN model simulating growth & development and achene yield of sunflower hybrids in response to nitrogen under irrigated conditions in semi arid environment, Sargodha, Punjab. The model was evaluated with observed data collected in trials which were conducted during spring season in 2010 and 2011 in Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. Split plot design was used in layout of experiment with three replications. The hybrids (Hysun-33 & S-278) and N levels (0, 75, 150 and 225 ***-1) were allotted in main and sub plots, respectively. The OILCROP-SUN model showed that the model was able to simulate growth and yield of sunflower with an average of 10.44 error% between observed and simulated achene yield (AY). The results of simulation analysis indicated that nitrogen rate of 150 ***-1 (N3) produced the highest yield as compared to other treatments. Furthermore, the economic analysis through mean Gini Dominance also showed the dominance of this treatment compared to other treatment combinations. Thus management strategy consisting?of treatment 150 ***-1 was the best for high yield of sunflower hybrids.

MNMU-RA: Most Nearest Most Used Routing Algorithm for Greening the Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless sensors are widely deployed in military and other organizations that significantly depend upon the sensed information in any emergency situation. One of the main designs issues of the wireless sensor network (WSN) is the conservation of energy which is directly proportional to the life of the networks. We propose most nearest most used routing algorithm (MNMU-RA) for ad-hoc WSNs which vitally plays an important role in energy conservation. We find the best location of MNMU node for energy harvesting by apply our algorithm. Our method involves the least number of nodes in transmission of data and set large number of nodes to sleep in idle mode. Based on simulation result we shows the significant improvement in energy saving and enhance the life of the network.

Gamma irradiation-induced effects on the properties of TiO_2 on fluorine-doped tin oxide prepared by atomic layer deposition

The effect of gamma irradiation with different doses(25–75 kGy) on TiO_2 thin films deposited by atomic layer deposition has been studied and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),photoluminescence measurements,ultraviolet–visible(UV–Vis) spectroscopy,and impedance *** XRD results for the TiO_2 films indicate an enhancement of crystallization after irradiation,which can be clearly observed from the increase in the peak intensities upon increasing the gamma irradiation *** UV–Vis spectra demonstrate a decrease in transmittance,and the band gap of the TiO_2 thin films decreases with an increase in the gamma irradiation *** Nyquist plots reveal that the overall charge-transfer resistance increases upon increasing the gamma irradiation *** equivalent circuit,series resistance,contact resistance,and interface capacitance are measured by simulation using Z-view *** present work demonstrates that gamma irradiation-induced defects play a major role in the modification of thestructural,electrical,and optical properties of the TiO_2 thin films.

Status and strategies in breeding for rust resistance in wheat

Wheat along with rice and maize is fulfilling half of the calories demands of the world. Global Wheat production has increased tremendously since green revolution in 1960’s and helped in minimizing hunger and malnutrition. Developing countries, which consume 60% of the global wheat production, have shown a higher yield increase than the developed countries in the past [1]. It was driven by the hunger prevalence in these countries and was attributable to the introduction of high yielding and rusted resistant semi dwarf varieties developed under the collaborative efforts of International and National research systems during the last 50 years. Whereas, climate change and the emergence of new pests and diseases are threatening the food sustainability. The evolution of new races of disease pathogens like stem rust (Ug 99) is of serious concern. In order to feed the ever increasing population we have to increase wheat production at the rate 1.6% which can be achieved by developing high yielding varieties having a good tolerance level for biotic and abiotic stresses.
