Dear Editor,H∞This letter develops a new framework for the robust stability and performance conditions as well as the relevant controller synthesis with respect to uncertain robot *** often exist model uncertainties between the nominal model and the real robot manipulator and disturbances. Hence, dealing with their effects plays a crucial role in leading to high tracking performances, as discussed in [1]–[5].

The molecular targets of sunitinib are receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs),and this drug has also been known to exert blocking effects on the activation of KIT,which is similar to the mechanism of action of imatinib. Moreover,sunitinib has an additional anti-angiogenic effect through its inhibition of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor activation. We report here a 70-year-old patient diagnosed with a recurrent gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST),which invaded the transverse colon and led to a perforation during sunitinib treatment. A computed tomography scan and 3-dimensional reconstruction showed necrosis of the recurrent hepatic mass and perforation of the invaded transverse colon. After percutaneous drainage of the intraperitoneal abscess,antibiotic treatment and restricted diet,the condition of the patient improved. The present case is the first to report that sunitinib,which is administered to treat GIST resistant to imatinib,can cause unexpected colon perforation and subsequent peritonitis.

As living standards improve,the demand for artworks has been escalating,transcending beyond the realm of mere basic human ***,amidst an extensive array of artwork choices,users often struggle to swiftly and accurately identify their preferred *** such scenarios,a recommendation system can be invaluable,assisting users in promptly pinpointing the desired artworks for better service *** the escalating demand for artwork recommendation systems,current research fails to adequately meet these ***,existing artwork recommendation methodologies tend to disregard users’implicit interests,thereby overestimating their capability to articulate their preferences in full and often neglecting the nuances of their diverse *** response to these challenges,we have developed a weighted artwork correlation graph and put forth an embedding-based keyword-driven artwork search and recommendation *** approach transforms the keywords that delineate user interests into word embedding *** allows for an effective distinction between the user’s core and peripheral ***,we employ a dynamic programming algorithm to extract artworks from the correlation graph,thereby obtaining artworks that align with the user’s explicit keywords and implicit *** have conducted an array of experiments using real-world datasets to validate our *** results attest to the superiority of our method in terms of its efficacy in searching and recommending artworks.

Dietary flavonoid intake and risk of stomach and colorectal cancer

Stomach and colorectal cancers are common cancers and leading causes of cancer *** the alimentary tract can interact directly with dietary components,stomach and colorectal cancer may be closely related to dietary *** systematically searched published literature written in English via PubMed by searching for terms related to stomach and colorectal cancer risk and dietary flavonoids up to June 30,***-three studies out of 209 identified articles were finally selected for the *** point effect estimates and the corresponding standard errors were calculated using covariate-adjusted point effect estimates and 95%CIs from the selected *** dietary flavonoid intake was not associated with a reduced risk of colorectal or stomach cancer [odds ratio(OR)(95%CI) = 1.00(0.90-1.11) and 1.07(0.70-1.61),respectively].Among flavonoid subclasses,the intake of flavonols,flavan-3-ols,anthocyanidins,and proanthocyanidins showed a significant inverse association with colorectal cancer risk [OR(95%CI) = 0.71(0.63-0.81),0.88(0.79-0.97),0.68(0.56-0.82),and 0.72(0.61-0.85),respectively].A significant association was found only between flavonols and stomach cancer risk based on a limited number of selected studies [OR(95%CI) = 0.68(0.46-0.99)].In the summary estimates from casecontrol studies,all flavonoid subclasses except flavones and flavanones were inversely associated with colorectal cancer risk,whereas neither total flavonoids nor any subclasses of flavonoids were associated with colorectal cancer risk in the summary estimates based on the cohort *** significant association between flavonoid subclasses and cancer risk might be closely related to bias derived from the case-control *** was no clear evidence that dietary flavonoids are associated with reduced risk of stomach and colorectal cancer.

AIM: To compare contrast sensitivity(CS) based on the surgical results for intermittent exotropia(IXT) and to examine the relationship between CS and ***: Medical records of the patients who underwent bilateral lateral rectus muscle recession for IXT between 4 and 12 years old were reviewed retrospectively. They were categorized based on the surgical results;successful correction group(n=36) and overcorrection group(esotropia ≥10 PD at 3 mo postoperatively, n=18). Using CGT-2000 test for CS was performed binocularly, and subjective reports of photophobia was investigated preoperatively and at 3 mo postoperatively. Objective photophobia was defined as a significant decrease in CS in the presence of ***: Preoperatively, there was no difference in CS between the groups. Postoperatively, under mesopic conditions, significant improvement of CS was observed at 6.3°, 4°, and 2.5° in the successful correction group and at 6.3° and 4° in the overcorrection group, regardless of glare. Under photopic conditions, at all visual angles except 0.64°, improvement in CS was noted in both groups while CS worsened significantly at 0.64° in the overcorrection group postoperatively. At all visual angles under photopic conditions postoperatively, regardless of glare, CS in the overcorrected group was significantly worse than that in the successful correction group, and CS was significantly decreased by addition of glare in both groups. All patients except one(96.4%) in the successful correction group and 8 patients(61.5%) in overcorrection group showed improvement of photophobia postoperatively, which correlated with CS under photopic conditions(P=0.001, 0.03).CONCLUSION: After surgery for IXT, CS under photopic conditions improve at all visual angles except 0.64°, while CS is significantly worse in the overcorrection group postoperatively at 0.64°. It is well known that solid solution-strengthened alloy 617 and γ′ precipitation-strengthened alloy 263 have excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Hyper-supercritical power plants work at temperatures above 700 ℃, and these superalloys are considered candidate materials for steam turbines components of these power plants. In this study, gas tungsten arc weldability of these superalloys was evaluated, and the effects of post- weld heat treatment （PWHT） on the microstructural characteristics and the mechanical properties of their weld metals were investigated. Scanning transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy and electron probe microanalysis were utilized for the investigation. The experimental results confirmed that these weld metals had different characteristics in microstructure and mechanical properties. PWHT resulted in the precipitation of intergranular carbides, γ′ particles and an increase in tensile strength of these superalloy weld metals. Furthermore, fine γ′ particles, which were not detected in the as-welded metal of alloy 263, were precipitated after PWHT and those particles were the reason for the drastic increase in tensile strength.

BACKGROUND Spontaneous pneumoperitoneum(SP) without gastrointestinal perforation rarely occurs in neonates, with most SP cases being idiopathic. Although SP usually follows a benign clinical course with favorable prognosis, it can become lifethreatening in certain situations. In these cases, urgent surgical intervention may be required. Therefore, it may be difficult to decide when or how to perform prompt *** To demonstrate the distinct clinical features of SP to guide appropriate management by comparing characteristics between SP and typical pneumoperitoneum secondary to gastrointestinal *** We retrospectively reviewed electronic medical records and identified 37 neonates with radiological evidence of pneumoperitoneum who were treated at our institution. Clinical variables were compared between neonates with SP without gastrointestinal perforation(Group A) and those with pneumoperitoneum secondary to gastrointestinal perforation(Group B). Clinical variables between groups were compared using Student’s t-test and the chi-square test. The risk factors related to mortality were examined using multi-logistic regression *** Group A comprised 35.1%(13/37) of the patients. The frequency of persistent pulmonary hypertension(53.8%) and pneumothorax(46.2%) before the development of pneumoperitoneum was significantly higher in group A than in group B(P =0.004). Platelet count and partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO) were significantly lower in group A(P = 0.015 and 0.025, respectively). Overall mortality was significantly higher in group A than in group B(76.9% vs 16.7%, P = 0.001). Only preterm infants were significantly associated with high mortality(P = 0.041;odds ratio = 18.0). Extrahepatic bile duct cancer (EBDC) is a rare malignancy that involves neoplastic changes extending from both hepatic ducts to the common bile duct. The treatment of choice is surgical resection, but the predominant pattern of initial treatment failure is locoregional recurrence. Accordingly, adjuvant radiotherapy has been administered after surgical resection based on these rationales. At this time, there is minimal evidence supporting adjuvant radiotherapy, because there have been no phase III trials evaluating its benefit. Relatively small retrospective studies have tried to compare outcomes associated with EBDC treated with or without radiotherapy. We aimed to review studies investigating adjuvant radiotherapy for resected EBDC. Because less than onethird of EBDC cases are amenable to curative resection at diagnosis, other locoregional treatment modalities need to be considered, including radiotherapy. The next aim of this review was to summarize reports of definitive radiotherapy for unresectable EBDC. Patients with advanced EBDC often experience biliary obstruction, which can lead to jaundice and progress to death. Biliary stent insertion is an important palliative procedure, but stents are prone to occlusion after subsequent ingrowth of the EBDC. Radiotherapy can be effective for maintaining the patency of inserted stents. We also reviewed the benefit of palliative radiotherapy combined with the biliary stent insertion. Lastly, we discuss the existing gaps in the evidence supporting radiotherapy in the management of EBDC.
