We demonstrate a broad bandwidth multiwavelength laser based on a bidirectional Lyot filter and a semiconductor optical amplifier with a mechanism of intensity-dependent loss as the flatness agent. A wide bandwidth of a multiwavelength spectrum of 32.9 nm within a 5 dB uniformity is obtained under optimized polarization param- eters. For this case, the number of generated lasing lines is 329 with a fixed wavelength separation of 0.1 nm. The power stability of this multiwavelength laser is less than 1.35 dB within 200 min time frame. This shows that the bidirectional Lyot filter provides an alternative option for multiwavelength generation in laser systems.

Petrographic, physical, and mechanical assessment investigation of NikanaiGhar limestone aggregate exposed in the Lower Dir area of Malakand Division, Pakistan, were conducted to evaluate and investigate its potential for use as a construction material for engineering projects. Different geotechnical tests and petrographic analyses were performed to evaluate its potential for construction purposes. Geotechnical tests include unconfined compressive strength, ultimate tensile strength test, specific gravity, share strength, porosity, and water absorption. The evaluated physical attributes were compared to standard specifications to determine their suitability as a construction material. Petrographic investigation indicates mainly two types of stones. Stylolitic spar stone and Spar stone are metamorphosed equivalent limestones and are not prone to alkali-silica reactivity. Mutual relationships between physical parameters have been described by simple regression analysis. Significant direct correlation of specific gravity with ultimate tensile strength and uniaxial compressive strength was noted. However, negative trends of Porosity with ultimate tensile strength and uniaxial compressive strength were observed which is in accordance with standard. The analysis revealed that the limestones of NikanaiGhar Formation fall within the standard specification limits and can be used as aggregates for the indigenous construction industry.

The effects of nanobubble on the growth environment,such as dissolved oxygen(DO)and total virus-bacteria,and growth performance,such as growth,feed conversion ratio(FCR),survival rate(SR),total harvest,and productivity,were investigated in Penaeus vannamei shrimp *** present study was carried out in 50 m2 indoor raceway ponds for 81 days with stocking density being set to 680 shrimp m􀀀3 in two types of treatment:nanobubble and diffuser aerator.A paddlewheel was used to distribute the oxygen saturation levels throughout the *** presence of nanoparticles was detected using a dynamic light scattering method and was reported to be 82.38 nm in size and􀀀26 mV for zeta potential *** was significantly higher under nanobubble *** virus-bacteria and FCR decreased,whereas SR,growth(weight and length),total harvest,and productivity increased with increasing *** SR was reported to reach 95%.The average weight and length of *** were 15.1±1.8 g and 13.1±1.1 cm,*** total harvest and productivity have doubled to 436 kg and 8.7 kg/*** results revealed that nanobubble has managed to maintain DO at the optimal range and affected the shrimp growth significantly(P<0.05).

Drug addiction is one of the current world’s hygienic, mental and social problems. There are different treatments for this illness. MMT (Methadone Maintenance Therapy) is considered as a standard and acceptable therapy for addiction;and there are many affecting factors regarding gaining success in this type of treatment. In this study, we investigated some of these factors. One of the most important issues in MMT is to keep up patient on his/her treatment till complete abstinence;therefore, it is recommended that the patient does not leave his/her therapy without discretion of the therapist. In this study, 230 patients, who began MMT, and admitted to addiction treatment centers of Yazd province were included. In this study, the survival rate in the first, third, and sixth months were evaluated as 93.9%, 63.48%, and 28.36%, respectively. It was found that following parameters are important in rate of survival during treatment: family support, gender, dose of methadone and concomitant use of morphine during treatment. Moreover, factors like level of education, marital status, age and concomitant use of methamphetamine during treatment can be effective in this regard.

Objective： To investigate the effects of mild head injury （HI） on the victims＇ intelligence by measuring their intelligence quotient （IQ）.Methods： This cohort study was performed in Khatamol-Anbia Hospital, Zahedan, Iran and the IQs of 30 mild HI patients were measured right after the injury （IQ0） and six months later （IQ6）. The IQs of 90 close relatives of the patients were also measured at the same period of time as the non-exposure group. The IQs were measured with Wechsler adult intelligence scale-revised （WAIS-R）. The IQ0, IQ6 and their differences （IQ change） were compared in HI patients and their relatives using the Student＇s t ***： The mean IQ0 of the HI patients was similar to their relatives. The IQ6 of HI patients appeared to be less than those of their relatives. Moreover, the IQ6 of the HI patients appeared to be less than their initial scores. HI was associated with more decrease in IQ6 compared with IQ0and the female subjects showed more decrease in IQ6 compared with their ***： HI seems to be associated with decrease in IQ six months after the injury and it is more evident in female HI patients.

Geological and Engineering Properties of Granite Rocks from Aqaba Area, South Jordan

Jordanian granitic rocks (JG) are highly distributed and available in huge quantities in south Jordan, Aqaba area. Granite in south Jordan (JG) is belonging to Aqaba granite complex. This study has been carried out to investigate geological and engineering properties of JG from Aqaba vicinity, south Jordan, in addition to identify and classify the different granitic rocks. 27 random samples of JG were collected from different quarries in three locations from the study area to investigate their characterization. Engineering properties of JG were tested and investigated using ultra sonic velocity test, abrasion test, flexural strength, specific gravity test, and compressive strength test. Engineering tests results show that JG has metal disk abrasion less than 21 mm, flexural strength of 16.9 Mpa, average dry specific gravity of 2.69 and very low absorption while the compressive strength results range between 60 to 90 Mpa. The results show that the engineering characterization of JG is complying with local and international specifications and standards used for classifying the decorative and building granite stones.

The used water for human consumption must be free of microorganisms and chemicals that cause risk in the human health. In this study, water quality of 18 rural area of Abarkouh was determined and compared the conventional monitoring method (According to ISIR (Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran), 1053 and 4208) and use of electronic system method (Patent in industrial property general office of Iran, 77815). Free chlorine monitoring and pH test done by health workers in the conventional method and the results will be sent to the Health Network monthly. Sampling for microbiological testing is done monthly based on population (According to ISIR, 4208). On the electronic system, the procedure is also done by health workers, but the result will be sent to the receiver device by using a cell phone. According to the chlorine test results if the free chlorine residual reported zero, microbiological sampling was done by a health expert. Finally, the number of chlorine test and microbiological sampling and the results of these experiments collected in the both methods and recorded in SPSS 22 then were analyzed by using chi-square test and Fisher exact test. The result of microbiological experiments shows that the sampling rate decreased 29% in using of electronic system method in comparison to the conventional monitoring method while the number of microbial defect detection increased 19% in drinking water networks monitoring by electronic system. Using of electronic system monitoring can reduce the rate and cost of microbiological sampling and its experiments and increase accuracy of these tests, in this way it will increase the quality and safety of drinking water in distribution network in small and dispersed rural communities.

In this article, we propose a topology of a TLC-HAPF power filter as a harmonic compensator for an optimization of the pollution control of electrical networks. This filter consists of an active part and a passive part in order to reduce or limit switching losses during current injection into networks thanks to its TLC module. This topology also provides solutions dynamic performance issues, resonance and lack of compensation capacity for imbalance cases. It also offers a greater range of compensation than conventional active models which do not offer as well as an intermediate circuit voltage in the order of 105 V to 109 V relatively lower than others models (600 v). A modulated hysteresis control of this topology is therefore also developed in this article and allows to obtain a network analysis on the three phases at three levels: source side, load side, and finally at the connection of the filter to the network, allowing to specify for these different positions the value of the current spectrum and its THD at this well-defined moment.

Comparative Study on Methods for Preparation of Gold Nanoparticles

The gold nanoparticles were prepared in many methods, differed in reducing and dispersion agents and stability. The first solution was prepared by using potassium bitartrate as reducing agent and Polyethylene glycol as a dispersion factor. We got a solution of colloid gold with wine-red color that has been measured the particle size;it was between 50 - 200 nanometers. The second gold colloidal solution was prepared by using sodium citrate as a reducing agent and without adding a dispersion agent, the color of the final solution is dark grey, but this solution did not remain stable, deposition happened quickly and crystals separated from the solution. The third one was prepared by using sodium citrate as a reducing agent and the solution was heated to a certain temperature, and the color of the solution became dark red after several minutes. Either the fourth method has been prepared gold colloid solution by using potassium bitartrate as a reductant for the gold ion. We have noted that no reaction under normal conditions, while the reaction by heating the solution to high temperature, and when added poly vinyl pyrrolidone will lead to a solution of colloild gold with dark purple-red color and stable under normal conditions for a long time. We measured the particles size in this experiment;it was less than 100 nanometers. We conclude from the above that all the reducing agent needs to appropriate conditions to complete the process of reduction of gold ion, and to get the nano gold particles, therefore;these particles in the colloid solution need to dispersion factor to the survival of the particles widespread so that the solutions with certain concentrations of poly vinyl pyrrolidone can be proven in the process of stability of the gold colloid solution.
